Salutations..And like a husky boy in dodgeball, I am out of here! (It least my office, anyway.)
Have a good night, Team DNAG. (Try and behave....)
Alas! I have finally made notice on the infamous radar of Frogdreaming! A truly special day, indeed.....
No seriously, as I had stated in a previous post (Which you can refer back to at your leisure.) I got no word of restructure from investor relations, just that a partnership with M2GEN was in the works but awaiting funding. (Very similar to the e-mail they sent me, of which I posted as well.) I chalk up the lack of "restructure" aspects of my talk to the fact that I may not have been asking the right probing questions or the qualifying questions that Stockholder101 asked, per se, but I did ask about the role of DNAPrint in the future with M2GEN where I was then met with the "No Comment" rebuttal.
Either way, Investor Relations (Both in e-mail correspondance and verbally) did confirm that there is some potential relationship with M2GEN after the funding of said project is complete.
So, as I have said on this board all day...If this makes one or (At best) a small handful of people feel more confident about their purchase of this stock during trying times, then great. If it makes people worried to a point of sale and reinvest to recoop losses, then that is fine too. But either way...I respect ANY poster that researches and makes a decision (whether it is for or against the said stock.)
As opposed to falling into hype on a Message Board and then blaming an anonymous poster for a loss because they continually remain optimistic.
That is all. Oh, and Frog? No "Mister" is necessary....Gooch will do.
Problem is, Ice, that the steps he took to get the info he has posted lately, I followed and got the same answers.
Are we to guess-timate through a proverbial thin veil of a story and weigh in on the negative end of the spectrum? Or (Because of the fact that most of us who bought in can now turn no major profit by selling at the buy of the day) look to the company for a glimmer of hope and try and stay positive?
I have opted to hold on to the hope that (AT the very least) the stock goes back up to the point where it is an equitably valuable sell, and go from there...That is all most of us CAN do.
Regurgitating answers from a Company we all hold shares in does not make the poster a liar...There is an old saying called "Don't shoot the messenger."
It applies here.
I agree with that WHOLE-HEARTEDLY, 9car! If there is one thing I have gathered from this board, Stockholder101 should most certainly be in some level of sales with how he continually researches for the bright side of the road. Believing in a product is 80% of the sale...The product is merely 20% of it.
What I mean is that while we are on a downswing my investment is worh considerably LESS than it was last month.
Exactly. When I called, I did not have familiar conversations with any receptionist named "Louise," but I DID call directly to Investor Relations, at which point I was told that we were waiting on levels of funding approval before any information could be announced to the public. There was a few more "no comments" retorted to some questions about the role of DNAPrint in the M2Gen family as well as the issue of debts needing to be paid, but the long and short was the same.
When e-mailed, I was told pretty much the same thing. (Of which I posted last week...check it out.)
I have used roulette tips when gambling in Atlantic City and "pony tips" on horse racing at the Cigar Lounge OTB in Philly, but I will be damned if I use message board tips when it comes to my portfolio. A true investor researches the HELL out of any financial decision, and in the end an only blame him/herself for that decision..Not a nameless post on a Message Board.
In the immortal words of Gordon Gecko. "Information is the most valuable thing in the universe. Now stop telling me information and go out and FIND me some!"
I have actually called DNAPrint and e-mailed them and got the same (to similar) response.
To be frank, I think it is unfair that ANYONE on this board would go out of his or her way to get as much informational nuggets as possible without crossing the deadly line of "insider" and post them for everyone's benefit only to be berated as soon as the stock hits a bad patch. I am not terribly happy that I lost some cash right now, either. But it is funny to see everyone celebrating with Stockholder101 one minute and then denouncing him the next..And all the while he/she does not say a bad word to anyone, and he/she continues to go above and beyond in an effort to make us feel better about the stocks we hold.
I respect the tenacity of this poster, and I think that if everyone did the kind of research this poster is obviously doing we would all either feel better about keeping it, or confident in selling and moving on to bigger things...
But definitely not sit around looking to point a proverbial finger at a financial scapegoat and project upon someone that is still happy about their purchase.
This is just my opinion....
Maybe YOU could make a call and verify or debunk what Stockholder101 posted. Ask Louise anything you want, do a tenacious deed for the sake of ther board and get right down to the bottom of Stockholder101's post!
I wouldn't call Stockholder101 a loser. (Spelled L-O-S-E-R, by the way.) He goes out of his way to retrieve information to keep HIS optimism afloat and shares it with the board, which is admirable.
I do not blame anyone for trying to stay positive through these anxiety-ridden times regarding our shares. At the end of the day, this is a Message Board. No different then High School Boards, or Wrestling Boards or Movie Boards. If anyone made any serious investments based upon an anonymous poster's enthusiasm, they need only look in the mirror to point blame.
The same way you cannot trust a board full of smarks to dictate whether YOU will enjoy the next installment of Spider-Man based on their editorials, you cannot trust someone's OPINION on THIS board to dictate your portfolio.
'Nuff said. I am just looking for harder facts at this point to make some sense out of this chaos, in lieu of optimistic opinions...But I am happy that people STILL STAY OPTIMISTIC, none the less.
(By the way, flaming with incorrect grammar is what I would expect ON a High School Message Board, and not on a board that is supposed to be riddled with educated adults discussing shareholdings, per say.)
When you go to a "Going Out of Business Sale," you it least know what you are walking into...There are plenty of fluorescent signs scattered about your neighborhood. Maybe some gentlemen on a corner handing out flyers. When you get to the building there is a HUGE banner adorning the entrance to the building and all the ticket prices have been scratched out with a red sharpie...Then,(Typically, if you live on the east coast)like magic, all the posters disappear, the banner comes down from atop the building, and the store gets restocked with a whole new expensive selection, again and appears to be flourishing.....
In this case, I feel like the shopper who went in and bought a whole new living room set and matching decorative pillows slightly off ticket. (Because, as a New Yorker I never pay ticket price!) Then, as I am standing in my driveway waiting for that fateful delivery truck to creep down my block, I watch as an army of people staple "GOING OUT OF BUSINESS! EVERYTHING 70-90% OFF" signs on every tree, street light and electrical post on my corner from the store I just left...
Sheesh!!!
What is going on?!?! I have heard a-lot in the past month and a half.
First? It was "If you are not in before County Approval you are a fool and will miss out on a boom! It will NOT go into March without rising!"
Then it was "Hold tight! March 15th is City Approval and BOOM! It will NOT go beyond the 23rd without going through the roof!"
Now there is no city approval, the stock has crashed and the new one is "April is looking better and better!"
I stayed positive. I stayed optimistic. But now I have to ask who here knows what is going on with this company?!?! Real info. Real Stats. Anyone? Stockholder101? Can someone give me some insight either way???
That is all good news. I hope that, with my first venture into shareholding, that I have latched on to a real boomer. If it does what everyone says it will do, I will be very grateful that I have such a great consultant in the co-worker that turned me on to this company, in the first place! (Commissions may be appropriate! hahahaha)
I hope we all make a small fortune!
Oddly enough, I got the exact same e-mail back from DNAPrint a week or so ago
Fair enough. In the interest of anonymity, Rootbeer could conceivably be anybody, and not necessarily a Marketing Rep.
Your bishop has taken my pawn, Mister Hilts...
Right...Except a question was asked, and since I called the number and shot an e-mail of my own will and the response to said e-mail was from a marketing firm (as well as the recording on the phone line) I felt I was qualified to answer the question.
Was I out of order because you posted a similar answer 2 pages back?
C'mon, Dude. Semantics.
His phone number he posted and e-mail is for the DNAP Marketing Firm.
Opinions are ubiquitous on this board, both positive and anxiety-ridden. I welcome a well-thought out objective side on any discussion regarding this company I hold shares in.
I just like to leave the flaming to the High School Message Boards, and hope that we can continue the mutual respect deserving of intelligent and adult investors.
Danke und gutes Glück!
Michiko...My point is this: If you have lost your faith and your proverbial shirt on this stock than no one is stopping you from moving on to greener pastures. To knock someone that is still positive and optimistic in the company is no different than someone slamming you for being negative. But if you are sour on the company, than maybe being on a board full of apparent "long" investors" seems futile, because there are plenty of people here that are still anxious for something great to happen.
Tutto deve rimanere forte su queste azione ed avere fede.
Michiko...I would rather hear Stockholder101's optimism and positivity on the matter, as a shareholder, than to hear the utmost negative flaming there could be on a stock we ALL seem to have a vested interest in...
How would YOU like to go about your day? Fearing with every post that you made a bad financial decision or looking for that silver lining?
It is not cheerleading, it is faith. And that is what ANY shareholder needs. Faith that the investment we all made in a small-time company gets a bone thrown it's way and we all profit. If you have no faith in said holdings, feel free to sell and invest in something else....
Johnnyfiber...
I did buy in. I meant 3rd party from the one-on-one arguement that was taking place at the time with Frog.
That is all.
Thanks!
Frogdreaming - I have a couple of questions, as a young and novice investor. Are there things about this stock you know definitively that would stop you from thinking it will do what most hope for on this board? Secondly, if you are not a share holder in DNAPRINT GENOMIC, are you on this board to help us see a reason why we are wasting good investment money as a community service?
Objective third party questions...Thanks!
A while back, a co-worker showed me that tasty nugget of trivia online. Where he was on the world wide web, I cannot remember.
Is everyone in agreement that the 15th is the big day? I question it now based on the e-mail DNAPrint sent me (That I posted) that mentions FEDERAL funding as well as state, city and county.
There are about 4000 investors of this stock from what I read...The company has 12 core employees.
Spelling, though, is not something you like then?
(hahahaha - Just kidding. I am the same way. I try to get the thought out of my head and on to the monitor so fast, I have to check my work 5 times before I send anything!)
I, too, e-mailed DNAPrint...This was my response:
Hello Ric, thank you for contacting DNAPrint Genomics, Inc. We have been working with the Moffitt on developing new technologies using genetic markers and have announced several programs over the years. The recent Moffitt/Merck relationship is currently awaiting State, local and probably some federal funding and won't kick off until the political solutions and approvals have been granted. We have, as the article stipulates been invited to participate in this new entity at the Moffitt but until it clears all the hurdles, there's not much else we can do but wait.

I could've walked from my row home to the Whitestone Bridge as a kid. I went to school in Whitestone, hung out on Francis Lewis Blvd and worked at a Blockbuster in Flushing right on the Whitestone Expressway...
Small world.
Actually I am originally from Queens. The nickname was originally (as a kid) "Bachagalupe." As I got older, it was slang-shortened to just "Gooch."
And so there it is...But I did frequent Roosevelt Field Mall as a teenager, though.
Look at how a quaint old italian family nickname got switched around, there! (hahahahaha)
It's cool!...Just a reverse side of the coin I was trying to impose on wherever and whomever made the reference
How much can pizza men and hair dressers truly invest? And what if they owned said salon and/or pizzeria? Then they could conceivably invest more than you. And in the end? I am a finance consultant with a nice income that stretches into the six digits with a 2 story home in suburbia, SUV and such and I only bought 100,000 shares as a "gamble" because this, after all, is still a penny stock.
Does that put me in the Pizza Man/Hair Dresser catrgory?
Hell, I work in Real Estate Finance (Mortgages, HELOC's, Bridge Loans, etc) and my WHOLE SALES STAFF has bought in the last month...And not small amounts, either....
Samlion, that is great stuff to know! Thanks! (And knowing is half the battle...Go Joe!)
hahahaha - But seriously, that is useful info for anyone in the future.
That is a free service, this is true. But, it was my understanding that it could be upwards of 48 hours for funds to appear in your E-Trade account from that type of service.
In this type of business timing is everything, and I would rather spend the $20 to strike while a proverbial iron is "hot" then wait 48 hours and hope for the best...
That is just my honest opinion....I may be wrong about the quick transfer, but that is what the E-Trade rep explained to me when I inquired about funding my account.
Either way, if you get in at .0143 or at .0160, it really is inconsequential if the investment hits .25 or even .50.
The only fee I had to adhere to was the $20 fee to the bank...Creating the E-Trade profile was free and done in seconds...The wire took all of about 35 minutes from my B of A account and with a quick call to customer service, I bought in same day
E-Trade allows you to wire funds from your current bank account and the funds appear same-day. You will have to call the trade in at first via their "800" number because you need to have seasoned account to buy pennies online, but either way, if you do it early enough you can fund and buy same day.
As a childhood headbanger and a lover of all things rock and metal I assure you that Ozzy has no place on a penny-stock message board! (In fact, after his last Ozzfest performance he may have no place on a stage anymore, as well.)
Why does ANYBODY hang around a Message Board about a stock you have no faith in?
Geez! Lately this is starting to look more like a High School Message Board and not like a place for professional men and women to discuss current and potential investment ideas and swap news clips to inspire growth in a portfolio.
If you are on this board you have SOME interest in DNAG. So, to flame those that DO is redundant to say the least. If you are a shareholder of said company, and are confident and ready to ride a boom then why care about someone who has not made so savvy of a financial decision?
