At least today's bid was above yesterday's close. I hope that protends for an upward move from the low.
Have we finally hit bottom or is this another ledge?
Thanks for the info. Did you get a chance to ask him why he thinks the stock keeps sinking?
Any idea what is with AFLH today? Can't do either a buy or sell - even through the brokerage.
Ditto to that.
My mistake. I agree that some of the problem lies outside of the company in the general malaise in the industry. I also agree with you that the company is creating some of its own problems with the lack of data in its PRs.
All that said, I still think that there is some hope. I like the business model. Minimum investment needs on its part and the fact that some of the big boys are abandoning the industry could be positives for the future. Subprimes aren't going away entirely and as long as Amstar has lenders to go to I think they have a chance.
Think we're the last two buying? The volume isn't that large relative to the float. Sure wish I knew who was selling.
Me and you both. Every time I think this thing has hit bottom, it sinks again. Who are all these people selling? How can anybody not be losing money selling at these prices? The stock was never lower even before the R/S. What am I missing here?
Thanks. I'll look into it.
One reason is panic selling. Obviously, there are people out there that want to buy - they're just waiting to buy as low as possible. The momentum has been down so they have no reason to start panic buying. I still believe that many employees are buying to leverage down their cost.
Like you, I'm an optimist. I think the company has potential but I'm concerned about the lack of information. THe PRs tend to be short on facts and long on verbage. I think that the facts - good or bad - would help the stock price. It is the unknown that makes people uneasy.
Thanks Amstud. I guess he started his own business and now Aflh has invested in it. I hope this a positive business synergy.
Anybody know anything about Amsure Title, Inc.? Any relation to Amstar?
I agree. Give us the facts - good, bad or ugly. Anything less makes it appear you are trying to hide something.
Good morning to one and all - let's see what the new week brings.
Disappointing. They should have at least given their profit/loss amount. Doesn't show good judgement on someone's part.
Atout - I also wonder about their employees that bought 2mm shares at a price North of $1. I'm sure some of them have averaged down but the current PPS still makes for a lot of unhappy employees.
My guess is that we will see more share dumping in the next week.
I'll check it out. Thanks.
Glad to see you're still out there slojab. I keep thinking that there is something different about this penny and hope to see a resurgance. I've still got my fingers crossed for a split or something else to boost the stock price. What are your thoughts?
Anybody left out there?
Thanks for all the info.
I hope so. Any idea as to when they will report last quarter's numbers?
What the heck happened? I wasn't on the computer when this transpired.
I'm betting on more liquidity in the future as the company either issues more stock for acquisitions or does a split to drive up the company market value.
I've done the same. It would seem that the supply of cheap shares should dry up soon considering the lack of float.
Don't you think that some of the employees are buying more stock? If I bought at $1+, I would want to buy additional shares to lower my CPS.
You may be right. I was extrapolating from earlier filings. It appears most are holding on to what they have since there is little volume.
Does this calculate to about 2.5 million float? That is, shares not owned by AFLH employees.
Hopefully the company will put more shares out either by an acquistion or split - and soon.
Agree - but the price is very tempting. The main block to a higher PPS appears to be the limited float.
I guess there are a few of us left. Not much traffic trading or on the board. I wonder what a split would do to help boost the price?
Looks like the company has or at least did have a employee NQ stock purchase plan that allowed the purchase of 1,875,000 shares.
There were 13,000,000 shares (12,500,000 owned by Wayland)in June, 2005. Together, this is 14,875,000 shares. Not sure where the other 4,437,000 shares came from for this latest reincarnation. Maybe some other investors.
Your right. I see why the need for the shell but is the price 1.05 or 1.25?
I had thought that the old "Amstar" holders were buying POFG shares as the POFG share price dropped prior to the RS/merger. I'm curious as to the comment (see my post 621 to MWM)on the "insiders" buying at 1.05. If they knew the buying price prior to the RS/merger, they sure would not have bought the POFG shares as they never reached the 1.05 equivalent level.
I agree and that's one reason that the number of shares that changed hands today was a surprise. The volume up until last week was nil and today's was five times the ten day average.
Should be interesting to see if today's activity continues tomorrow or we return to the near nothing volume level.
Still looking for additional information - 7 million shares from what company? I assuming you mean the old "POFG" but my understanding was that they were to receive only about 750,000 shares of AFHL.
How is it that friends and family can buy in at a specific price and why before next month?
It wasn't a pretty sight to see as it happened. It opened at yesterday's close, went up to 1.40 and then in a short period of time this afternoon, it cratered.
Baffles me.
It'll probably be this way until the quarterly results are out or if there is a PR that involves some type of acquisition or a share change.
Just read it - hope it does something for the stock price.
Possible - mine haven't shown up yet but I was able to buy shares almost immediately after the merger/acquisition.
Somebody somewhere had AFLH shares.
Finally a little action on AFLH today. Price range was strange though.
