You see Jimstr, there's a lot of resistance here to these guys pulling everything together to actually produce something because we've been through this before... more than once. They even had a 'plant' before. You have to admit that they are full of a lot of hot air... I mean, they are talking about global trade and being a 'leading producer of bio-fuels', when who knows if they even have the funding to make a small plant? So, there will continue to be much skepticsm here until it actually happens.
Even if they are actually on track to make something happen now... the Costa Rica farm won't start up until 2008... which means they wouldn't be able to produce anything there for another year. And THEN they will ship the base fuel out to be processed. Way too early to speculate on this... when it's so close to 0 now. Their trust factor is at an all time low, and not to mention where they would get the funding for all of this... Aziz's selling wouldn't even begin to cover it. Still too many promises that are too far away for me to believe.
So... what's the price comparison of Jatropha vs feed stocks like corn/soybeans? Even with the recent up swing of those futures, I'm thinking this exotic resource probably isn't cheap. And having to ship it from down there to the NE US probably doesn't help.
Hasn't that link always been on the website?
And hasn't it always said 'Coming Soon'?
At least the past year if I'm not mistaken.
I was wondering the same thing once I saw the gaps in msg #'rs
Maybe it wasn't such a bad time for me to have dumped at .0017
So, more insider selling... and the pps IS down, and you blame me for getting out at a higher price even if it was at a loss.
Come on jim, hit us with your miracle DD. We're all waiting.
What the? Even a basketball court needs a permit. I have no idea where you are coming from now. But the stock is taking a major dump today. Lemme guess, you are buying back?
No need for a personal meeting in MA, I simply sent an email to the guy in charge of city permits in Mattapoisett and he said that he did actually get a phone call from the Amelot people, but he hadn't seen any plans. That was a month ago, but still where would they draw up the money to build a plant when Aziz is already selling off shares probably to pay his rent?
So?
So, you have all of your shares, but yet sharing positive information is against your will because of the negativity that previous shareholders have due to the false information this company has released in the past.
That makes sense.
These guys wont even talk to people on the phone, but yet you visited them in person and they gave you the path to the pot of gold?
You didn't even do enough homework to see that I said that I've sold out my shares here anyway. Hope you had a nice trip. wink :)
You know, the announcement coming up 'soon' where they tell us about how they are 'planning' to open a plant in an 'undisclosed' location along with their 'partners' that they can't disclose information about either. Maybe they'll also have another Wood Explorer II 'dividend' to benefit the shareholders? You know, with all of the revenue they are pulling in, I guess it would be nice of them to share the wealth (again). :)
I dumped all shares, my 2nd loss on this one. I just don't see it turning around anytime in the near future (or distant for that matter). Too much BS over the past year. Don't think I'm the first person to say that.
Should be interesting to see what happens today.
Yeah, it's weird I was coming in here to post about how long they can go on selling these PR's. I mean, at this point, even if they were to find a place to make a plant, where will they get the revenue for that? I'm guessing it would be in the millions... along with paying the monthly bills of running it that would be in the ten-thousands. woodexplorer profits? heh
I'm just hoping it mysteriously jumps back around .003 for the Aziz planned sell coming up.
I don't understand exactly what that means.. the planned sell is at .003. And what if it doesn't reach that price?
I think the important thing is that we seem to have bounced off a recent bottom. I was getting worried. Now I guess we can see how far we can go with the extra dillution this year.
heh.. yeah, today's chart looked like walking off a cliff
not exactly the image I wanted
I guess being the 'middle-man' in a transaction is better than no transaction at all?
heh.. even the headline of that PR is funny.
Biodiesel Producer, Amelot Holdings, Obtains IRS 637 Approval to Produce and Sell Biodiesel
They call themselves producers, when just today they got the right to produce from the IRS??? Or wait, I thought they were a leading producer? I wonder how many more permits to go now?
I guess then I am a leading investor in a manufacturer of Renewable Fuels? :)
You guys check the website lately... contact info shows an Osterville, MA address that I remember pointing out the phone # was in. Guess we need to update the info here?
And maybe edit the "5-7 MORE facilities in 2007"
Maybe say "Possible 1 facility in 2007.. with another possible being outsourced" ?
This grant opportunity provides up to $25 million in funding for a demonstration of integrated biorefinery operations for producing biofuels and other chemical materials products.
Sounds like a very expensive science fair project.
I don't even care about reality anymore with this, I'm just waiting for the next spike. :) But I think if they don't bring sometime to the table this time, they will be considered a total scam in my view... no more excuses allowed.
I checked an it's showing in my etrade account also.
So, what's a guy to do with $24k?
Pay his rent for the year?
This is a pinker... not like they'd have to disclose it.
I mean, who knows how many have been sold already or if any of the top people even still personally own it at all?
hmm... I was referencing this from Skunk's quote:
Contact:
ALLK Co. for Amelot Holdings
Media contact:
Samantha Freire
(646) 671-1452
sfreire@allk.ca
But Amelot's website is showing the contact as:
Enid Saltus
(646) 552-4000
It seems to change every few months... and I dunno if anyone has talked to Aziz or Giles in a few months now? I tried calling them a few times at what was supposed to be the old Nashua plant (that you can research is not even a NH number)... and never got a return call either.
Heh.. isn't that person in Canada?
Yeah, and this stock appears to be dead in the water now... but there have been about 5 times I have thought that since I've been watching it.. where I could have doubled my 'investment'. I dunno if it can move like it used to with the extra dillution now, but doubling in a week is by no means out of the picture if some REAL news comes out.
edit: good news that is... :)
I'd agree with you more if it wasn't for a 3.7% down on 180,000 volume today... not sure when we'll see the multi-million trading again that could make it more attractive.
wow.. no posts here and in raging bull all week (except mine of course)
Everybody ditched this thing?
Wow, silence isn't so much golden. Aren't we supposed to be building up to the big PR where Amelot announces it leased it's equipment out to make sub-par bio at another company's plant? :)
So why are we losing our base here with the stock, is it possible some people are not confident of the good news coming soon? :)
On a less sarcastic note (remember I did buy back a few recently)... I think higher gas prices is good. If the initial plan of the market is to mix bio with regular diesel, then a higher market price of regular diesel will make it easier on the bottom line to buy what has been, in the past, a more expensive bio additive product. Who would have thought that oil prices would go up just before the summer vacation season? :) Ok, sarcastic remarks over.
Actually I filled up my tank last night for the most amount I have ever spent in my life in gasoline, and I wished I had a diesel vehicle.
OT - Priceless indeed.
ONT (On Topic?) - So, with no moderator here, can we change the 'corporate office' from ghostplant to the anonymous NY PO Box they have on their website? :)
I was thinking of this the other day... how pink sheeters don't have to post anything like financials or conference calls (not that Amelot has conference calls?). But what I'm saying is that all trading is just pure speculation... and response to PR's. Who knows if they can be folding up tomorrow.
Not that I'm talking bad about Amelot... actually bot in a small amount last week. As I said, all about response to PR's.
heh.. they are buying back shares and the price is going down?
PS. They have never fulfilled on a single thing they said they would so far over the past year, and anything before that (ie wood explorer) seems to be a joke.
So, good luck with that... just warning those who are uninformed.
There are two things that may happen -
1) This stock goes to 0 because of incompetence/bad luck
2) They actually create some kind of bio-fuel plant and the stock goes up until the reality of the dillution catches up to actual income... at least for the first year or two.
I would like to think that they really are trying to get something going... but too many times it's been a disappointment for me to be optimistic.
Is that really news? :)
I guess you could at least give them credit for actually coming out and saying it. Guess they had to eventually.
Now, if they said "We're building a plant at x location and you can come and see us building it and all of the permits will go through" - THAT would be news. :)
Yes, it's been the basis of many jokes here over the past year or so. A sign of great things to come!
Latest PR
"Amelot Holdings, Inc. a leading manufacturer of Renewable Fuels..."
I stopped reading after that.. :)
Sometimes they say no news is good news... here it seems that more news is the same old news. It doesn't really matter what laws or tax codes pass if you're not producing anything yet. The PR campaigne needs to learn this lesson.
You mean there is more to discuss rather than just typing 'wheeeee' over and over? :)
Actually there isn't much to discuss... this is a company that has been saying for the past year that they are going to build alt-fuel plants, but to my knowledge the have nothing to show for it so far. I think many of the people who have been watching and waiting have put this on a shelf for another month or to.. just to check and see if they have something physically going. Until then, I don't think it's going anywhere... no matter what PRs they release.
So, in the near future I would trade this stock on anything that gets above what you bought in for and wait for it to come back down (if that happens).
That was the first thing that stood out to me when I read the latest PR... no physical address.
Guess they learned their lesson there.
So, who is this doing their public relations now? This is the 4th firm since I've been watching.
Maybe they can sell the equipment from the Nashua plant as a dividend to the shareholders like the wood explorer.
"Fool me once... shame on ... shame on you. Fool me.. you can't get fooled again!"
