Good for you Rev!
We all make choices in how we invest our time and using it unpaid for others is the highest and best use according to the scriptures. For that other poster to suggest that management should somehow feel shame and work for free as a form of penance is just crazy talk.
Plus, no one would invest in a oil exploration company that is staffed with unpaid volunteers. Good grief...
Hi Brucie.
I was missing you while the share price was rising.
Welcome back.
WORK FOR FREE!
What a great recipe for success.
Decent volume and price action today.
I'm expecting a strong finish with an ending price over $.25
It's hard to know what is actually happening there in your communication but I see the same thing you see. The change in the pattern seems significant to me.
There are a number of small-ish signs over the past few months that seem to be adding up to create a positive outlook for MJ2
A big-ish sign is the ongoing investment in the company by the two "angels" that are funding all of this. Buying through DSPP would seem to enable the company to share more info with them than if they were buying on the open market. Sometimes big money is stupid. Usually it is not.
Shalom!
I don't disagree with you guys about the communication. My experience with EEENF highlights the contrast between open communication and very poor communication.
Having said that, there is a big difference between drilling a shallow well on a federal lease in Alaska and drilling a deep, complicated well on the edge of a war zone.
I believe some of the tightness in the communication is due to restrictions from the Israeli government and some is based on a desire not to foment another SEC investigation. In any case we sit in the dark for long stretches. That's not fun.
Tisdal - I've hired a lot of people over the years. I've never had success hiring the best people by telling the candidates they need to take the job at a below-market compensation package because the company has not yet achieved it's business objectives. That dog won't hunt. Your take on this whole issue is terribly, terribly naïve.
I want THE BEST people stewarding ZNOG and I'm happy that the board is smart enough to pay them competitively. Anyone who can't see this has never run a company.
KyOil - I worked minor fields in OK, KS, and the TX panhandle in the early 90's. I loved reading those old handwritten well files. My favorite completions were the open hole completions where casing was set above the top of zone and then they drilled out the shoe and down through the formation to exposed the reservoir. I even got to workover a few of those old wells that were still producing after many decades. John Creek in Kansas had quite a few open hole completions as I recall.
Occasionally I'd find a case where the open hole completion was "stimulated" by dropping a flask of nitroglycerine into the hole. That must have been quite fun to watch and I'll bet at least a few wells got junked when the nitro went off prematurely. Our granddaddies in the industry were some amazing men.
I have the expertise to understand what they are doing. You are wrong.
If they "drilled to target depth and didn't find anything" they would have seen this in their mudlogging and the open hole wireline logs. Nothing could be done to save the well in this case (explosives and nitrogen? LOL). No one installs a christmas tree on a well when nothing is found (like MJ#1). They proceed to plugging the well in your scenario.
Bruce your post is basically a self-own. Your own logic proves that drilling did indeed find something. Management is testing the well and will announce the results when they are finished.
Fraud!
FRAUD!
Agree. Lot's of signals like this one. Christmas tree pic from the wellsite, happy to be meeting with local officials, company directors in Israel, no increase in share count on the docket for the annual meeting. It's all lining up.
I think we've finally arrived y'all.
Sounds like a post-annual meeting meetup is on the docket.
They heard ihub posters like to have things to pick at when they are bored. That accounts for 7 of the board members.
Has it ever occurred to y'all that having a large and professionally diverse board enables a company to retain expertise without hiring consultants or additional full time staff? Its actually a good strategy for a company that is working on very complex business, technical, and regulatory problems while having to keep overhead under control.
Does every issue have to be an indictment?
The ZNOG shareholders meeting is scheduled for June 8, 2022 which is the 55th anniversary of the first full day of Jewish control of Jerusalem since ancient times. This happened during the Six Day War. I happen to know this because it is also my 55th birthday.
I'm planning to attend in person.
What says the Hawk?
Should be soon.
Nice pop today but no volume
Good question.
Not me.
We need the Hawk Man!
Are these the guys who were the creditors back in 2019 that forgave some debt and agreed to fund the legal fight in exchange for a cut of the settlement proceeds and licensing revenue?
agreed. Added a little more this afternoon
Somebody is feeling bullish today. We need to watch this to see if it turns into a trend. Maybe the smart money (if there is any with this stock) is seeing good things approaching.
I'd like to see a legal opinion of the document, however I agree that the result doesn't look good for LBAS.
On the bright side, this document covers claims 8-10 and claims 11-13. No mention of claims 1-7, so at worst this is only a partial answer to the lawsuit.
Also, this doesn't pertain to others, such as Uber unless this sets a precedent that covers that technology as well. I don't think we have enough information about the various claims to know if the claims against Apple (8-10 and 11-13) and the claims against Uber overlap.
Share price is up right now however...
Maybe. Depends on where the technology has gone since the LBAS patents were filed. There may be better solutions now.
I seem to remember it was IP related to power management which maximizes battery life. Pretty valuable stuff.
Best case may be a settlement to cover the past misuse over bazillions of iphones built with this IP and a license agreement that continues payments for future use.
Correct. That's why a buyout scenario really doesn't make sense IMO
I'd sell for $1 too.
The deal with creditors had a built-in floor of $.05 since the debt that was being forgiven was valued at an equivalent share price of $.05. Those guys don't make any money unless the settlement/buyout amount is above $.05. And I don't think anyone smart plays this kind of game without having a very strong feeling that a big payout is at the end to make it worth the risk. For that reason I'd put the low end of the range at 4X the risked amount, or 4 X $.05 = $.20. I would make some good money if LBAS distributed $.20 to me or if I could sell my shares at $.20.
As for Apple buying LBAS - I don't see that happening. There are no assets in the company aside from the IP that have value to Apple. Apple should probably just pay the settlement amount and stop using the IP.
From the LBAS point of view, why sell at a price that would be lower than the settlement price? They've waited this long and spent the legal fees. It's time to take what the court gives them.
Update please Hawk
Anyone have an inkling on when we will hear something?
Bought some more...
FRAUD!
bought some more today. Couldn't resist this sale price.
Everyone forgot to buy today.
Hoping for good legal news!!!
We have a broken, divided culture. No political leader can bridge that. The best we can do is have a strong leader who fights for the best parts of our culture in order to pull the country in a positive direction.
Gotcha Lakota.
I have to admit the investor presentation for 88 Energy (EEENF) made me wish we had better info from ZNOG. At some point maybe we will.
I'd sign that too.
Finally something we can all agree on!
Thanks
Not a lot there. Insiders hold a ton of shares, about 1/3 of the total.
Mgt loaning the company $ for working capital (I suppose this means THEY believe in it)
No guidance on the lawsuits other than "likely to take several years"
Help us out Hawk!
I've looked but can't find these notices
Thanks!
ohhhhhhh that explains it!
Ok its venting. But it is being done publicly and its embarrassing. Not a good look
all this whiny navel gazing cracks me up.
Either there is oil or there is not. Everything has been put in place financially, legally, and operationally to make a major find into a major success for shareholders.
Relax and wait for the results. Or sell.
