Wonder if it will continue lower tomorrow and if a bottom will set in anytime soon.
Just got the nerve to open up my account and take a look. Crazy day!
Good luck to you!
Popping back in at 6.36.
Did a quicky in an out here today to test the waters. Waiting to see where things go overnight and in the premarket tomorrow before deciding whether to go back in or not.
I almost did the same thing. Surprised the heck out of me. Not sure where or if to jump back in. Just goes to show not to take anything for granted trading the markets.
So crazy that the market will do that. I think they had a rally on tap anticipating a better jobs report.
Pretty pathetic jobs report. Hoping for 20's.
Picked up a few shares this am. Hoping for some good action soon or at least a flip in the teens.
I had a decent run last year from that point til the end of 2014. It was the first time I had ever traded TVIX too.
Wow. It looks like they go straight up or down.... not proportionate plays based on the previous close? Interesting...
Do you mean xiv maybe? Someone on this board was switch hitting xiv with tvix earlier this month.
So glad the ho hum is out of the market at last.
Real nail biter for sure. My guess is either OPEC or Iran will either blink or get their stuff together. The China business might be a bit overdone at this point.
You would think they would run it up but at this point, they might get smart and run it down because the economy isn't strong enough to raise interest rates.
Spot looking like it wants to move up to $43. glta.
I was watching the volume today and noticed it was light considering that it seemed to be tight trading for most of the day.
Found a real time spot tracker to watch the price. Right now it is back up to $41.92.

It has been a pretty lean year for the small investor so far and it doesn't look to change between now and the end of the year.
Out and about. Really thought this should have pierced $7 given the news.
I am thinking at least $1, but $.68 is even better.
Right as rain.
Really appreciate you all mentioning the fact that you are to some degree pegging how you trade this to SPY. I'll watch it for a few days and see if I pick up on it.
TY and you too. Trying to play it careful. Sort of like riding a bronco. One minute you're up and the next, you've got a mouth full of gravel.
Nice move to he upside here today.
Picked some up at $5.89. If it goes to $5.50 I will reevaluate my options.
I'd like to get in closer to $5.50 but there is a lot of negative sentiment built up in the market, especially with the commodities.
Hoping to get my foot in the door in the AM.
This will get everyone's attention. Wonder where it'll be in the AM.
It is also being attributed to the presumptive impending Fed rate hike. But if the rate hike isn't until September, do they really think the price is going to flat line until then? Don't think so.
There is probably a connection with the Shanghai markets although it is confusing that the drop coincides with the opening in NY. I have been reading that the weakness in the US dollar price isexplained by the value of the dollar vs. other currencies.
Almost the exact same pre-market drop we had, was it a week ago?
That would be cool!
It'd be a lot more fun if it turned around and went another 1/2 way back to where it came from.
Whiplash!
I think that makes more sense too.
Spot approaching $15.

Too good to pass if you ask me.
Just on fire here. Lets hope it stays that way
Can't wait to wake up in the AM and read the positive spin on Greece now. Might wanna hold those shorts until the dust settles here.
Everytime I look at this ETF I imagine Swiss bankers taking expensive vacations, lounging around a pool & drinking martinis on my dime.
