Troy, it is conceivable that a buy-in would have limited impact on SEO...........see BB's note from a few days ago....

BB, going back to your thoughts of yesterday on ERHE's potential strategic direction; it would be something on that type of scale that one would expect based off WB's experience. I went back to read the overview of the company that he was with, CRA International and I post the UK company's link here;
http://www.crai.co.uk/CountryDefault.asp
"In the Chemicals & Petroleum sector, we combine in-depth industry knowledge with strategic and organisational consulting skills to help oil, gas and chemical companies develop new business strategies, improve performance, identify and execute successful acquisitions and deliver profitable growth."
It would be nice......... and what the company needs to do, IMO.
Gran
BB, as I said before, I think that you have done a great job of connecting the dots and laying out a strategy that fits the dots and is perfect for our little "minnow". I do want to believe it. While you have been here for +3 years, my average is a little over $.70/share.......
I gotta go and do something other than pay bills and type/read here. Talk with you later. Later tomorrow, I want to look at a few #'s in regards to shares traded from the time that you mentioned. Manti brings up a good point that all the "free trade shares" appear to have been sucked up into "stronger" hands.
All good talk on this Saturday afternoon.
Thanks,
Gran
Thanks for insight, Manti!
Gran
I'm with you BB.......it all sounds plausible and I like the way that you have connected the dots and I think that it is something that ERHE needs to do (build other alliances and get off the OTCBB)...but in my mind, I've put Oily, Umbra, and AA and a few others as just good "theatre".
Just playing a devil's advocate; someone would have needed to put through large blocks to get to near the 5% figure or roughly 35 million shares. I don't think that has really happened. Granted, maybe they acquire less than 5% in the open market and the rest through SEO, but still we should have seen quite a few big blocks buys.
From the beginning of May there has been about 51 million shares that have been traded, kind of low:

Granted, positions could have been built earlier this year.
Once again, I like the way that you have thought through this, but right now, I'm in the camp that believes some of the "traders" in this stock are planting info for their own gain. IMO. If, I'm wrong (on these traders), I will gladly apologize.

Dadd, tough one to call: condor1 was singularly bludgeoning the subject on potential negative impact on the searches/bribery and potential penalties and his alias was created recently so I can see and support your call.
There was some merit in his remarks with his tone changing over the last few messages.
God bless you on this thankless job. Your call is good with me.
Gran
we're rooting for you.......what else we got right now?
congrats on the engagement. you're going to need to change the handle.
Gran
AA, you still thinking about some announcement on the 5th?
Not trying to give you ^%$#, just wondering........
Thanks,
Gran
IMO, the best takeaways in the "latest news" release is that they have contracted apparently very professional/experienced legal and p.r. firms to support them.
Now, let's here more about the business progress, please.
Gran
Thanks, AA. My inclinations have always felt the same about a buyin. Good for short term "investors" but also good for the company on a long term basis. I do like the "dream" of Balance Builder of Addax/China/ERHE combination. Any comment?
Gran
Just got back from vacation to read your post. Thanks for your efforts. (I don't think I'll go back and read last week's.)
When we have that party when ERHE hits $5, I'll have to bring you some good cigars!
Gran
this board is worse than rb.
Finally had an opportunity to read through the posts today. Comforting to know that respected (IMO) BSK likes the combo of Addax and Erhe. May just be dreams but a nice one for this Sunday.
Thanks BB for the Addax link on show. I didn't realize the market cap of their stock. (by the way, my "jog" is more closely aligned to a fast walk as well!!! 3 miles and two trips up and down on the stadium steps...the idea is just to keep moving.)
Here's to a positive week!
Gran
Nice synopsis, BB. All very logical based on the scraps that we know or surmise. I think this closer relationship with Addax of some sort before any direct ownership with Chinese WOULD be very attractive to the Chinese, IMO. (Heck, if I had the money or connections, I'd love to put it together! LOL) Addax has demonstrated expertise in exploration/production in this area of the world. They seem to move quickly. Couple with EO's connections/expertise in Africa and obvious ERHE's assets........WOW.........all in one tight package and it fills to a "t" what the Chinese don't have.
Way to get things started on this Sunday morning!
I need to go jog. Later.
Gran
Maybe ERHE's chart will look like this in a few years!

IBC is delighted to present further details of the 4th Annual West & Central Africa Oil & Gas conference in Houston. An event now firmly established in the industry calendar and of timely importance in light of security of supply issues affecting the global market.
Africa has an increasingly crucial place as a major energy supplier to the USA and according to the Financial Times (30/1/2006), "the US was more dependent on oil from Africa in 2005 than from the Middle East. In the first 10 months of 2005, the US imported 762m barrels from Africa against 703m from the Middle East."
Planet Environment also reports in November 2005 that the "USA is hoping to get ¼ of its oil imports in a decade from West Africa, up from 14% now."
This illustrates the increasing importance of Africa as an energy supplier to the USA and why the timing of IBC’s 4th Annual West & Central Africa Oil & Gas conference is of paramount importance. Join key Governmental officials and oil and gas players to discuss the latest opportunities as well as learning how to maximize doing business in the region. Don’t miss this must attend event in the oil and gas calendar. Register your interest today.

Apology accepted, Jim Long. Not a biggie. All true longs are frustrated.

Hey Ace or Jim Long......doing a little venting just like alot of people do around here.
see this post (which I have received no response to)

FWIW, I am still not understanding the continued communication of ERHE actions via an individual and then through the message boards. Don't get me wrong....thanks Mark for passing the info on, but WB.....get your chit together on professional communications.....if you don't want to be a garage shop operation then don't act like it. Peel off a few hundreds and get some help in this area.
Gran
That happen to me as well, (put limit order in at ask and getting it at bid) (thank you Schwab): at around $.60 and at low $.40's.
That is strange isn't it???
Gran
If anyone is confused with my note to WB, it's stating that as a COO of a $30 million company, I can appreciated the challenges that he faces................I'm not implying that ERHE is valued at $30 mil or will only have $30 mil in sales, etc.
The e-mail went out with my letterhead so it's pretty clear when and if they open it.
I'm signing off for awhile.
Gran
Yes, I'm getting a little po'd on these prices even though I bought for the long term. Could have had quite a few more shares if I waited. I just sent this e-mail to WB;
As chief operating officer of a $30 million company, I can begin to understand that difficulties of balancing all the issues; tactical and strategic. I believe that consistent communications to the shareholders and investment community are both and must be of the highest priorities. I hope that you will be able to enact very shortly a consistent, clear communication policy that will reflect the vision of the company stated on the website.
Sincerely,
"Gran Habano"
Personally, I hope that he doesn't respond personally to me (if he does, I'll pass it on). It's bullchit that communications that should be to all shareholders are passed to individuals to communicate om message boards........
GH
It looks like Mr. Kansteiner's visit to Africa in that mid May time frame was dealing with mines in Sierra Leone. While I'm sure that he has a few more balls in the air than just than working toward some amalgamation of oil exploration firms, this was what was publically reported of his visit.
http://allafrica.com/stories/200605170466.html
I gotta run.
GLTA,
Gran
IMO, I would agree that a "new financial arrangement/structure" would be the only thing short term that will make this sp pop. Communication of drilling schedules would be nice news, but won't in itself sustain a significant price increase.
Umbra, that comment that you made earlier about Scowcraft, would you give us a better idea on why you made it and at that time? (I feel like I'm in the middle of the Da Vinci Code. )
Just started to peel back the Scowcraft connection and it sure looks like Kansteiner is fairly well connected politically in the U.S. I'm not sure if this was posted earlier, but if it wasn't, I don't think anyone here saw it since I don't think there are that many "The Nation" readers in this group.
http://www.thenation.com/doc/20060605/currier
Gran
BB, thanks for research on Scowcraft comment (and obvious contributions to the sanity of this board). I will look into this further and report in if I get anything of worth.
Bottom line, company communications suck and force concerned shareholders to look for scraps of information in all the wrong places in an attempt to piece something together.
Such as why would "UMBRA" introduce the "Scowcraft" comment in a discussion of 10Q when 10Q is more a rear view mirror (historical) discourse?
I think I'm better off looking in again on this board and stock price later this summer.
Long term, long term, long term..........
Gran
BB, would you refresh my memory (and possibly others) on how this individual (Scowcraft?) was introduced into this ERHE discussion?
Thanks,
Gran
IMO, I'm still questioning the whole "roadshow" idea validity. To promote what? In my mind, the idea makes sense only if there is a financial reorganization/consolidation/acquisition etc. of some sort. Such as a new entity. Other than that why? This quiet period to shareholders would knit with this idea (new entity, etc.). As you can see, I'm holding out some hope for that even though my gut is screaming....long term, here
Still holding strong and will continue to buy shares at these prices due to the long term potential.
GLTA,
Gran
Yes, I read the site, but I'm skeptical about their "posted performance". It seemed to me when I was following it (their recorded performance) that they recognized trades in a very favorable way for themselves. I don't recall exactly, but for example, if the stock went down significantly one day, they recognized the highest sp for the day, stuff like that.
I still view it the site occasionally just to get another perspective. I'm not really familiar with candlesticks and I am just beginning to read more on Technical analysis.
Gran
Afren (AFR) is up nice today with very good volume on London:

Looking at this again, I think it is plausible that CVX subleased the Deepwater "Pathfinder" to expedite drilling based off; Oilphant's earlier hint, Pathfinder is reported to be in Nigeria's waters and Devon is in blocks OPL 242 AND 256. (256 is right next to the JDZ.)
http://www.rigzone.com/data/rig_detail.asp?rig_id=157
http://www.devonenergy.com/operations/international.aspx?disclaimer=yes
(With the Devon link, you may have to sign off on their disclaimer and click on Nigeria map to get to their blocks.
Oilphant sounds like sometimes he's on the boat and sometimes, he seems like he's in the boardroom, but this hint of his sounds plausible. As everyone says, do your own due diligence.
Gran
if you follow oily's one hint literally, it seems like it is a possibility. couple that up with these rumors of other drilling going on, maybe they did sublease it?!?
well stated thoughts, Mr. BSKJOHNSON. I may have to read all your comments.
Gran
Check out post 51160....... couldn't that be the other drilling rig for OBO#2?
Gran
Yes, I'm, leaning in the diection that that ERHE's visit was something related to Jefferson and his African dealings from their timing. Optimistic that it will fine nothing incrimidating for ERHE....(might as well be optimistic, we can't control anything!)
Gran
P.S. Yes, I like Padrons too, especially 1964's!!! We should buy a bunch when we hit $5/sp.!

FWIW,
Gran
Fish, that's comforting to hear. I assume those are your opinions or do you have some substance that you could share?
Thanks,
Gran
We'll see what happens today, but the more and more I follow this stock, it just seems to me that with the late filing, apparent orchestrated sell-off (IMO), etc. that one POSSIBLE scenario would be that Offar could come in here after this SP is stagnant for awhile and take this company private OR at least get controlling interest right now. If he put up a $2 to $3 price for the rest of the common after the shareholders have been living with $.50/share price for awhile or less, it would look like gold to many of us and it would be much cheaper for him than sharing the downstream potential of the rights in the JDZ. Wouldn't be the first time that the common shareholders get screwed.
About the only Latin, I remembered from school, could be applicable here; "Num Quam Sciit".
Gran
accrual based accounting would recognize sale at time of contract signing, in my estimation. would be recognized as sale with outstanding receivable (credit/debit) and at time of payment; +cash and - receivable.
Gran
Was discussing ERHE and the political intrigue with the JDZ (Chinese, American, Nigeria, etc.) with a friend of mine who is a geologist with a major oil company. He said that in every situation that he is familiar with, the Chinese have thrown such gigantic numbers to buy the rights to drill or acquire oil assets that it has made it economically unviable for them to even think of participating in it.
Obviously as a shareholder of ERHE, I liked how that sounded.
Gran
Gracias DQ.
Gran
What was the "JS" post? Anybody? Sorry....still kind of new here.
