Hi AUdad!
I hope that your case is the right one. A buyout would be a blessing for us. I was doing a search on Google and found this. I don't know if it is fact or someone is bitter about the whole ordeal at TFN.
Here's the link: http://www.cagepotato.com/2008/10/07/big-john-leaves-fight-network-mauro-ranallo-outed-as-scumbag/
Check it out and let me (us) know what you think.

CBS 'EliteXC' fight ratings
KO'd by overtime
June 01, 2008
CBS launched its mixed martial arts franchise Saturday night with a fight that delivered decent ratings, yet taught the network some likely lessons for staging future events.
Looking at the usual ratings bracket, CBS placed second for the night in the adults 18 to 49 demo, coming in a tenth of a point behind NBC’s airing of the Stanley Cup Finals, which tied Fox’s presentation of movie “The Rookie” for first place. Yet the fight ran 45 minutes past the 11 p.m. hour, pushing the much-anticipated headliner bout between Kimbo Slice vs. James Thompson outside of primetime hours.
CBS opened the night with a “CSI” repeat (4.5 million viewers, 0.9 adults 18 to 49 rating and a 4 share), followed by its “EliteXC Saturday Night Fights Special” (4.3 million viewers, 1.9/6). According to the metered markets, the broadcast’s demo rating spiked to an impressive 4.0 between 11 to 11:30 p.m., then hit a 4.7 between 11:30 and 11:45. Full program numbers won’t be available until the national figures come in on Tuesday.
CBS noted the primetime portion of the telecast nonetheless increased the network’s time-period average in the demo by 36% compared to the past season.
The overtime not only hampered what could have a CBS nightly ratings victory, but also frustrated some viewers. CBS wanted to introduce its broadcast audience to ultimate fighting by featuring plenty of player profiles and interviews, but the result seemed to annoy MMA purists.
“The broadcast dragged on interminably,” wrote Yahoo Sports. “There was more chatting than ‘The Tonight Show’ …when it was 70 minutes into the show, there had been just 2:12 of fighting.”
With CBS’ next “EliteXC” bout scheduled for July, the network still has plenty of time to work on tightening its production. CBS is trying to get foothold on low-rated Saturday nights and bring in young male viewers who do not typically watch the network. CBS had staffers phone about 500 sports bars last week to spread the news about the “EliteXC” event.

State of MMA: Fight Game: Mixed Martial Arts is as popular as ever
TOP VIDEO ON http://www.foxnews.com/
It's worth the watch!
Mr. Peeps
Following the lead of rival CBS, it now appears that another major network will enter into marriage with the sport of mixed martial arts.
The San Jose, Calif.-based Strikeforce promotion and the NBC network have reportedly struck a deal to air MMA programming on a weekly basis. As first reported by MMAJunkie.com, the agreement could put Strikeforce and its fighters on the air in a late-night timeslot as soon as next month. The programming will likely consist primarily of highlight footage from various Strikeforce events, the report said. However, it could lead to a more fruitful package down the road.
For the time being, the weekly show is slated to air on late Saturday nights following “Saturday Night Live,” the hit variety program that has launched some of America’s greatest comedians. UFC president Dana White had repeatedly vowed to strike a deal with a major network, but, from all indications, it now appears he has been beaten to the punch by two competitors.
News of the Strikeforce-NBC partnership comes on the heels of EliteXC’s landmark announcement that it had come to terms on an agreement with the CBS Network. CBS plans to broadcast EliteXC events live in primetime, perhaps as often as every other month, beginning later this spring.

STRIKING A BALANCE
Not long ago Rory Markham stood near the top of the International Fight League’s welterweight pecking order. He had ripped through his first four opponents, including Xtreme Couture’s Mike Pyle, and emerged as one of the promotion’s most promising stars. Pyle lasted only 44 seconds before one of Markham’s jackhammer fists had him looking at the lights.
However, losses to Team Quest’s Chris Wilson and the little known Brett Cooper tempered excitement surrounding Markham and sent the Miletich Fighting Systems product tumbling down the welterweight mountain.

BARONI-HOSE TITLE BOUT PICKS UP STEAM
One of MMA’s preeminent showmen showed up in classic form on Wednesday, as Phil Baroni let the words fly in advance of his middleweight title bout against Kala Kolohe Hose at Icon Sport “To Hell and Back” on Saturday at the Blaisdell Center in Honolulu. The 185-pound championship was left vacant when the Hawaii-based promotion stripped Robbie Lawler for failing to defend in a timely manner.
Baroni (10-8), who has dropped three of his last five fights, had no regard for his Hawaiian opponent during a pre-fight press conference.
“I’m just ready to knock this kid out,” Baroni said. “It’s a big shot for him, and he’s going to take a big shot on Saturday night – on his chin. I’m going to put him to sleep.”
Having recently completed a six-month suspension for suspected steroid use, Baroni last competed in June, when he was choked unconscious by Frank Shamrock in a bout for the Strikeforce middleweight crown. Still, the 31-year-old is a proven finisher and holds knockout victories over Yuki Kondo, Ryo Chonan and former UFC middleweight titleholder Dave Menne.
Sporting his trademark scowl, Baroni event took aim on Icon Sport president T. Jay Thompson. “This guy has been looking for a Hawaiian guy to be the Icon champ for a long time,” he said. “[Hose is] not it. I’m going to be the next champion, and I’m going to defend this title. And [there] ain’t no Hawaiian guy that’s going to beat me and take it back.”
The soft-spoken Hose (5-1), who appeared in stark contrast to his opponent, will enter the match on a five-fight winning streak. His last four victories have all come by knockout or technical knockout in the first round, including a 20-second mauling of Jeff Cox and a 38-second annihilation of Ron Verdadero. Hose remained reserved and composed throughout Wednesday’s press conference, Baroni’s venom notwithstanding.
In preparation for the “New York Bad Ass,” Hose trained alongside Shamrock at the Shamrock Martial Arts Academy in San Jose, Calif. “I think that was the best opportunity of my life,” Hose said. “I learned a lot.”
Baroni foresees a violent end to the fight. “I see it going quick,” he said. “I see him getting hurt real bad. I see him realizing what he’s in the ring with.”
----------------
THEY SAID IT
“Now that they don’t have to fight as many times, I think it’s a little easier to get guys prepared. It’s basically the way the sport has always been – three to four fights a year for the guys who are fighting at this level. My main thing last year and the year before was getting my guys to the events healthy when they had quick turnarounds and they fought so frequently that the guys were getting run down.” – Miletich Fighting Systems founder Pat Miletich regarding the International Fight League’s switch to a camp-based focus

Hey there Ovation. Nice to see that you are still up. I'm heading to bed soon.
To answer your question about trademarks, well, I did some reading and the reason why it is trademarked is to protect their intellectual property. For example, All Fights All the Time or ALL Talk ALL the Time could be TMed., which they have done.
Take care good buddy and have a good night if I don't catch your message.
Mr. Peeps
From Wikipedia:
A trademark or trade mark is a distinctive sign or indicator of some kind which is used by an individual, business organization or other legal entity to uniquely identify the source of its products and/or services to consumers, and to distinguish its products or services from those of other entities. A trademark is a type of intellectual property, and typically comprises a name, word, phrase, logo, symbol, design, image, or a combination of these elements. There is also a range of non-conventional trademarks comprising marks which do not fall into these standard categories.
The owner of a registered trademark may commence legal proceedings for trademark infringement to prevent unauthorized use of that trademark.
Hey Ovation! Nice to see you! How are you? Yeah it is cool that it is trade marked. Looks like we might be in for good news next week. Hope you are having a nice weekend!
Mr. Peeps
I agree that looks cool Seabee!
I'm heading to bed! Have a good night and nice to see you.
Take care,
