Fully expecting some sort of recovery in the pps; still looking for an exit though, but certainly not here.
I've been as optimistic as anybody here, but their response to this mess has been a train wreck.
We have to be real about what has transpired. I give them less than 24 months before bankruptcy is filed, unless there is some miracle that transpires.
Management has demonstrated that they are not competent.
I believe you are not correct.
Remember this? "Stay tuned"
What a joke.
Advaxis IR and LT are kidding themselves if they think a reverse split will give them enough runway.
Unless the pps goes up after the reverse split, this current market cap will further decline, and the idea of selling into via another offering is untenable. Basically, they can give themselves 70 million or even 100 million shares or whatever. The market capitalization will not support it at these levels. Basic math, and they clearly have not done their homework, unless they believe (via magic) that the pps will rise substantially.
What a mess!
Compounding the problem with more problematic strategy and tactics.
Unless something radically changes, I give the company less than 24 months before they file bankruptcy. Hopefully I can find an exit, multiples above the current price, between now and then.
I'd be surprised if the stock moves north before a reverse split or data. It's just a sucky situation. I emailed IR and thanked them for "all the wonderful work they have done for shareholders".
Animali!
I'm expecting for a different expect other than 20 pennies and hoping for the best, as you've eluded to. I know I will take a loss; just trying to miminize now that it's quite clear where this is headed.
Best of luck.
We hope for the best, but the likely scenario is a reverse split followed by a big time shorting of the stock.
The only hope to lessen the bleeding is outstanding data. Even with great data, losses for those currently invested will still be significant following the reverse split.
At this point, it's all about finding the next, best exit point. I do think we'll all have a shot at a better exit point than 20 pennies.
Good luck.
You got me on that Dew.
Why? Especially given today's previous filing.
Dew, Hov, and others. Well...
U still in?
Good point.
Their only hope is data coming in. If the early look is very encouraging, that might drive the pps up and attract buyers.
Right now, not looking very good.
Looking desperate at best.
I understand your point, except for one small problem. That kind of dilution would crater the stock to pennies.
Example Scenario:
5 million shares @ $3 for a MC of 15 million.
15 million is the market cap. If you sell 100 million shares (inject into current market cap), you still need to maintain at least a 15 million dollar market cap.
So, in essence the stock priced would be reduced nearly 7X (100/7 ~ 15), which would bring the price to 43 pennies ($3/7). The only dilution that makes sense is if they can remain comfortably listed; i.e. above $5 ideally.
Well CAT,
That's that.
Hoping for the best, but expecting "not so much".
Good luck to all of us holding from here.
They can do a 20:1 reverse split now, get it to $4 and go to $100 and I'd still be down 50%...
We do. I'm just saying, this does not bring confidence that they have "real" answers at this time. Reaks of desperation.
In support of your earlier assertion about the split min/max:
"The Board has adopted a resolution approving and recommending to the Company’s stockholders for their approval a proposal to amend our
certificate of incorporation to effect a reverse split of our outstanding shares of common stock within a range of one share of common stock for every ten
shares (1-for-10) of common stock to one share of common stock for every twenty-five shares (1-for-25) of common stock, with the exact reverse split ratio to
be decided and publicly announced by the Board prior to the effective time of the amendment to our Amended and Restated Certificate of Incorporation to
effect the reverse stock split (the “Reverse Stock Split Amendment”)"
With their ratios, seems they have full confidence the pps will not drop below 5 cents. Lovely.
Come on man.
This is NOT a good look for Advaxis.
We can drink scotch and watch this together then.
Just a big-time bummer.
Somewhere in then next 3 months, there should be a bounce (hopefully).
That will be a good exit point. Better than selling @ $0.20 anyways.
We shall see.
CAT, no sale. Bummer.
so they reverse split first, then they can dilute from their 170million pile
printing money
should be illegal...
I believe it will head lower now; likely to single pennies in anticipation of massive reverse split in FY19.
Buh-bye...
Not anymore.
True statement. However...
Not issuing a reverse split?
Possible. Maybe.
Probable. Unlikely.
This definitely puts to rest any hidden buy out.
I'd hate to be the BOD and leadership at the next shareholder meeting...
I believe so. Bummer.
No matter. Just getting worse from here.
I've seen this story before unfortunately.
A reverse split almost always invites further shorting and depreciation.
Not surprised at all. It was going to be a binary event either way.
Looks like we're headed to a reverse split in H1 to avoid delisting.
From there, likely more shorting unless we get some good data.
Still doesn't explain how they will stay in business though. Money is running out and there really isn't any money to further dilute.
Given the current pps and assuming things are "really, really bad", what isn't there more downward pressure?
Doesn't make sense.
"Logical"
-Spock
No communication
Stock pegged at $0.19-$0.20
Very, very odd.
Unless...
If Spock read your assertions, he would simply say "Illogical."
"while the data was early and inconclusive, Amgen felt it pointed to significantly lower probability of success"
If this is how Amgen reasoned things out, they have much bigger problems
Or maybe it's a simple as this:
Their business priorities have changed for FY19 and they are moving in a different direction.
I still say they "sold"
Maybe so.
Why such a big delay? Have they done this in the past?
Weird, they keep moving the date.
I see Wednesday, 1/2/2019
https://www.nasdaq.com/earnings/report/adxs
If it's all over, why is the stock pegged at 19 pennies?
Makes no sense.
If I had dry powder, I would be buying big. Worst case, there is going to be some kind of bounce in the next several months, even if things don't go well long-term. From here, that bounce could be an easy double.
My gut tells me they are "sold" (or in the process of being "sold")
A lot of the tech companies in the US "slow down", especially in their IT space. For many, a blackout period in prep for year-end close.
Igna and TC made the same point, which is literal. However, given the nature of the break and the adverse result on the pps, it seems disingenuous of Advaxis IR not to reflect a more transparent reality. They may not care because they simply don't have to.
The reason(s) why?
We may never know.
A lot of companies are very quiet from about the 3rd week in December through the 1st week of Jan; holidays, etc.
