the daily & weekly signals are up and if the monthly turns up then its hello to S&P 1350
northam43 thanks,
good job on your calls and thanks for speaking up at the other board. You knew exactly the question, but some folks absolutely had to take it the wrong way. I believe people behave that way when the counts are going bad.
Also, i speak about your system all the time (not to pump it) it speaks for itself and If traders cant see reliability and prefer to follow egomaniacs then thats their loss. And maybe that’s the real issue; others don’t want to hear about your success.
Let me say it one more time; Northams SXP Cycles is the real deal...
I search these Boards to see how others fair with their T/A systems, how they share and how I can use it to my advantage - but its clear to me that Nothams SPX cycles is the most consistent and reliable. All others have huge egos embedded with their analysis - and discussions turn negative if you question them – Speaks volumes
blasher,
– frankly, sentiment and pokersam are the only two worth reading on this board - I didn’t know you existed until we started discussing politics...
.. so now your calling me a clown
what kind of talk is that?
and what butthead uses down titanic as a t/a signal - do you actually use that to buy and sell?
26838 is ridiculous
thats not technical analysis, not a wave count
- have a good day
Pokersam
Yes; what do you have, what direction? In your case what is the wave count and is that up or down?
Not funny
last time; I said the big white candle trumps
c'mon man - chest pounding time....
So; the question becomes what do traders have that can trump a support line at (S&P 1220). Up or down, What is your current signal – no predictions, just current?
re; everyones bullish
yea, could be we're all bullish - but S&P could hit 1350 before realization sets-in - before we turn south
in my opinion; the dominate indicator is S&P support at 1220 - it trumps the Overbought daily stoch (for now) - plus the negative news has subsided
Put/Call at 0.82
... thats an extreme - so i expect something to pop (or fizzle)
SPX support at 1220
I think SPX 1220 is support and we get a new daily phase 2. That’s an assumption at this point.
'northam43' SPX Cycle Buy Blockers Active:
... ARE THE BUY BLOCKERS STILL ACTIVE...?
SPX Chart
The first chart is SPX showing price moving away from upper trend line and daily stoch falling below 80. Both indicators are telling me Not to buy (long) at this juncture. - The second chart is QQQ. Im using it as a leading indicator and if it breaks below its trendline (or holds) then it would indicate SPXs next move.

bbgold thanks
>>> Options price is always where you will get your Gains/Loss.... this <<<
- I got it. I had assumed that the difference in stock price was my Gains/Loss (in my account) but it is the Options price that determines Gains/Loss - cool, thanks a bunch
bbgold; Options question;
Would you help with this question... Im confused on how money is made (or loss) in options... – Is it on the difference in price of the stock or the price of the contract? - below is a virtual trade I made with prices of the stock and the contract.

Income inequality in Chile is the highest in the OECD (with a Gini coefficient of 0.50), much higher than the OECD average of 0.31. At 18.9%, Chile also has the third highest relative poverty rate in the OECD after Mexico and Israel and well above the OECD average of 11.1%.

Trading Options is tough
You have to know the process on how to trade options On top of having to know reasonable direction of market. Plus you have to have time to pay attention. Having a full time job is a dis-advantage. - On the positive side, Trading options is very do-able but ya gotta do the homework, the due diligence...
Thats Obamas - get me re-elect politics
in my opinion its just talk and Im not sure how to gauge his success - if you gauge based on jobs then he has not done so well. If you gauge based on a dysfunctional Washington then he has done very well.

The Occupy folks are pssin me off
this protest is suppose to be about greed and corruption at the highest levels - but its staring to have flavor of a 'poor me' convention.
One of my friends got verbally assaulted by protesters; Just cause the guy wears a suit to work does not mean he is corrupt. It simply means he's making a living and has kids in college.
bbgold puts/calls
Hey, Thanks for the info, I didn't notice your messages in my inbox.
Ive done fairly decent on regular trades but the whole put/calls process has been kicking my butt and the simulated funds...
The main reason i want to use options is to limit my exposure all at once... But with options i can purchase a sizable chunk without using my entire FUND
anyways I will keep at it and keep records
RCKS - Not sure what you mean
Price has pretty much reversed Since I posted that message.
Also I looked at the SPY puts below 120; and for education purposes would you please clarify your statement regarding expiration, value and rolled…
Put to call ratio is at extremes 1.4
So if your at or near a buy or sell signal - then most-likely your signal is solid
good job northam43
you do as always... have a great weekend!!
Off the ‘occupy soap box’
And focusing on the trades - I think the ‘Occupy’ will evolve into whatever it wants and into whatever the opposition doesn’t want. I think this has the possibility of growing.
As a working man I think if “shit hits the fan” then focusing on making better trades and financial decisions is key.
The folks that “occupy” are being portrayed by the opposition as misguided, hippes, slugs, loafers etc… But I think it will get bigger the more it is minimized, ridiculed... officials like Bloomberg would just continue to fuel the fire...
POKERSAM' The unions donate to politicians
I forgot about those goons.... so we put them All on Notice; unions, financial, oil, pharma etc etc
sentiment
Im Not the guy that can talk taxes (im clueless) but if you say the majority of taxes are paid by the super rich then I really dont know why there screaming the rich should pay more.
My assumption is that 'taxes' is one of the paths that we need to address. It is something measurable - unlike blame.
sentiment - Based on my limited knowledge of taxes… I would say Yes
Example;
.20 percent of $30k is - - $6000
.20 percent of $300k is $60,000
….. At face value seems fair to me…

The following solutions (for starters) are what I think should somehow make it onto the debate at some point. - Officially, Formally debated by leadership.
- Equal tax, flat tax, simple tax – a tax code that you actually read
- limit or eliminate wine and dining of officials (lobby)
- No more Democrat vs Republican bouts
- Party can hold no more than 33% of Congress
- Revise President eligibility requirements such as (no previous politics, no lawyers)
- Public officials are the least paid Government employees
- officials keep promise or it becomes breech of contract
- and so on and so on …etc etc..
Pokersam - re; Those who break this oath must be replaced by those who will keep it. We must populate the White House and Congress with strong Constitutionalist.
I didn’t know you were looking for the Cadillac solution. I think that your idea is an Awesome solution until you got to the part “Constitutionalist”. I have a couple of friends that are strong Constitutionalist, and they don’t pay their taxes (but that’s another story)
I think keeping your oath is great but how do we get there. How do we get from ‘Occupy” and back to ‘Keep Your Oath”. - Answer; I don’t know at the moment. – But We need a path to that Solution. We would require solutions that help officials keep their oath or - change the oath all together.
Ninja7
I Agree; most members of the movement seem to have no thoughts whatsoever about a solution...
But they seem to have focus and are organized enough to maintain.
I see a couple of scenarios; 1) the protest withers -2) the protest gets hijacked by the left -3) the protest builds a life of its own takes a course outside the influence of any reasonable thought

Pokersam; The Answer is Not Simple
And I doubt that we can effect Greed and Corruption anymore than Volstead Act (Prohibition) can effect alcohol.
But the first thing to do is to 'bring it' to the table, bring it to the open for public debate.
I would like to see a more mature and non-confrontational way but the "in-your face" approach seems to be the only thing that people listen-to, what they hear, what wakes up the neighbors.
Is there anyone doing it? Is there A Political champion? Do we have someone in office (any office) speaking for the people cause it sure aint Obama or Boehner
The issue is Not and should not be; take from the rich and give to the poor. The issue is Stop stealing so damn much. And stop corrupting the office to help rich get richer. Its cool if you want to be rich but do it on your own.
I just read that 45million people are on food stamps; impeccable timing to start a movement
and for the record; I do not like Obama
Ive been told by a very bright young lady; we cannot address Greed and Corruption because some of us Need It to live our daily lives. We would not exist without it. And frankly I think there is lots of truth in that....
Greed and Corruption
seems to me, the Occupy Wall Street folks are addressing Greed and Corruption, that’s the main demands – basically is what all this hoopla is about… and we (most of us) all want to address greed and corruption - regardless of political affiliation…
except I do not understand why the Right is not on board, since Greed and Corruption is everyone’s issue, it is not Party specific. Plus its my assumption that if this thing has Legs, goes from simple protests to a full blown movement then it could build a Life of its own…
and when I say we I mean the working man, the stock trader man
