MSACL started about now.
Lol, at least I can read a calendar.
I am so hoping you win that bet.
This Sunday, January 21st, 2018 the MASCL (Mass Spectrometry for the Clinical Lab) Conference starts at 8 am in Palm Springs, CA. It goes until Thursday, January 25th, 10 pm.
https://www.msacl.org
Keynote speaker #1 is Dr. Huestis, speaking at 9am, on Wednesday, January 24th. Title: "Mass Spectrometry Meets Medical and Legal Cannabis".
Plenary speaker #2 is Dr. Yost, speaking from 5 to 6 pm also on Wednesday, January 24th. Title: "The Triple Quadrupole: Innovation, Serendipity and Persistence".
There are 185 separate courses, 8 of which concern cannabis.
There is also an MSACL Distinguished Contribution Award to be presented. The purpose of the Distinguished Contribution Award is to recognize a contributor who has conducted research, teaching or application of Mass Spectrometry in Clinical Chemistry of significant impact.
Maybe Dr. Yost or Dr. Huestis will receive it.
Our Players:
Dr. Yost – Noted and highly esteemed inventor of mass spectrometers. Invented the triple quadrupole mass spectrometer. His inventions have resulted in patents with over $1B in annual sales. He has an entire department of research at the University of Florida named after him. He can probably isolate or invent a way to isolate almost any molecule out there. Rumor has it he solved Cold Fusion and is saving it for an encore. The “Wile E Coyote” of MS.
Dr. Huestis – Chemist and toxicologist extraordinaire, noted cannabis expert with years in public service spent on detection and discerning between different types and levels of cannabis in the body. Dr.Huestis is renowned for her work in defining the effects of cannabis on a metabolic and molecular level and refining ways to positively identify them, and which molecules/chemical compounds appear and why. If you LOOKED at weed last month: SHE KNOWS. Where cannabis detection and analyzation on a cellular level is concerned: she is a true “Master of the Universe”.
Dr. Goldberger – Forensic pathologist and toxicologist of the highest order. Editor of the leading toxicology journal, author of many peer-reviewed books and articles. Director of the forensic toxicology lab at the University of Florida. An expert witness in every court you can think of. Name a TV show or radio broadcast, he’s done it all. Forensic Pathologist To The Stars. Nickname: “Hollywood”.
What is written above is an UNDERSTATEMENT of these people’s qualifications, knowledge, skills and abilities.
This is known as a DREAM TEAM.
These people are the tops in their fields.
They seem more than capable of accomplishing the goals of Cannabix.
Family of doctors prescribing medical marijuana:

So...IF they got a patent approval, AND a prototype is completed, then they might be ready to be bought. An announcement before the big conference next week?
Since they are already working with Agilent, they would seem a likely candidate, if not them perhaps Fisher. I would guess a $15 share price would not be out of line. Unless shares in the buying company are given per shares held.
Pure speculation on my part, by someone who has been holding and following over a year.
JMHO
Yeah, I did for VAPE.
We already knew you were World Wide, Shell.
Thanks for all you do.
Wow. That was great. I had not read that before. Confidence inspiring, for sure. There is no substitute for publishing in a peer-reviewed journal. Before the haters chime in, part of the funding for the article was provided by Cannabix and Breathtec. Most articles are funded by a corporation or a grant or an institution.
LONG(ER)
Thanks Shell.
Do any of you wise men (or women) have any idea why they wouldn't do a PR on the patent they referenced in the monthly? I am guessing that is because it just 'builds' on a previously issued one? Nice movement today on good volume. Hopefully it stays here for a while until more news. I am in no hurry. I would rather they do everything right the first time.
Happy Birthday Carthnel!
Hope you get your PR!
Best post ever.
I think this stock held up great today given the outside news.
I also think the smart money bought on the dip.
I am guessing the huge volume means it is not an artificial price and that plenty of people still think it is going up.
My $0.02.
BLOZF LONG
Good points. You are right, any knowledge gained in how this device is moving forward will primarily be shared with people who are far ahead of investors in their knowledge of the technology, to say the least.
I re-read that 3 part series you posted. It primarily dealt with ingested vs. inhaled, and the breakdown and effect in the body and was good stuff. I will be anxious to see what Health Mgr comes up with, particularly regarding how actual impairment is measured and differentiated from just a level or type of thc, or metabolites existing in someone's body.
Do you look to see a lift from things discussed at the conference in Palm Springs this month as well?
He's back!
Haha! Shameless pandering in an attempt to use "birthday guilt" for a PR!!
Awesome
Nice reply, Shell.
Investing Noob, look up "dollar cost averaging".
That should help, along with doing some calculations.
It becomes a very difficult thing sometimes for people to try and "get in" on something after they feel it has already gone up.
And then, potentially, they can miss even more gains.
I am not saying that is going to happen in this instance, it's just food for thought.
The decision is yours.
The last paragraph says it all. Lets hope our capital has lit the fuse on this rocket and it takes flight.

Thank you Shell (and others) for all your research.
It is most appreciated.
Roland I think you are doing the right thing by not giving the trolls the courtesy of a reply.
I need to follow your example and do the same.
Another article on BLOZF and Hound

I was looking at HMLSF a few days ago, Horizon Marijuana Life Science Fund (?) ETF.
I thought they were REMOVING 3 companies this week because the companies got too BIG for the fund? And one of them was Canopy Growth.
I know the fund was up 50% in the 6 or so months it has been around
Well said.
Have we ever been mentioned as being "in clinical trials" before?
I don't recall ever seeing that.
If so, that's huge.
Unless the reporter or professor meant "testing" instead.
Marijuana stocks rise after Canadian regulators’ ruling

Well, thats it. We must be doomed. Its over. One post by a troll on a chat board. F science!
"Pay no attention to that man behind the curtain!"
BLOZF has two of the most reputable scientists in this field working on the Cannabix device. One of whom helped invent the device that the competition keeps referring to as "The Gold Standard" in quantifying their results.
The competition has an exceptional VC firm in their corner and one of the best producers in television. Both bring practically unlimited resources from their respective fields.
BLOZF has the best science in this field behind them that is without peer in this technology, with the support of a university research department.
I am going with the science.
My $.02.
And CVI Investments Inc., the other big investor of that filing with 400k shares seems to be a general Cayman investment company.
MMCAP has the 3m shares.
If you Google "MMCAP International Inc. SPC" a whole bunch of cannabis related investments come up recently, $20m+ ? investments, some at $50m.
We seem to be small potatoes.
Is information made available on who the broker placed the big order(s) for, or is that kept private?
And didn't Cormark take a position in the company also?
Thanks
Ok, thank you for the clarification.
Isn't it going to say that all the high ranking insiders of the company have a HUGE short position in futures on their own company?
In other words, the founders and owners of this company are betting large amounts of money that the stock price of their company will go down in the next 3 months.
Meaning they will make a lot of money if the price of the outstanding shares are worth less in the next 3 months than they are now.
I said something to this effect last week, and no one had any comment on my post.
If I am wrong, can someone please enlighten me and point out what I am missing?
If an airplane I am on is crashing, I am not going to look out the window and say "The sun is out, what a beautiful day!"
Thanks.
That is really cool. Thats great you have the talent to do all that. I would love to see your tour bus happen!
I am just holding all my shares. 2nd Christmas. Best to all!
Haha! Hopefully no one did!

Simple and Rapid LC-MS/MS Methods for Quantitation of Five Cannabinoids in Breath and Blood Samples – Correlation in the Two Sample Forms
https://www.msacl.org/view_abstract/MSACL_2018_US.php?id=96
It looks like the breath samples were able to be confirmed with the blood samples.
Conclusions & Discussion
The preliminary results showed positive correlation between the breath samples and the serum samples obtained at the same time from the same test subjects. This exploratory research is a small step in our understanding of THC in breath and has provided preliminary data that will add in the continued development of the new breathalyzer for cannabis administration monitoring.
Old news, but still relevant. It just shows how long they have been working on it by the filing dates.
https://www.google.com/patents/WO2017147687A2?cl=en#classifications
Agreed on all.
I did more research on FAIMS today, again, as I have done before.
FAIMS is real science. Whether BLOZF can adapt it, and make it thru trials, and sort the details, is another thing. I am betting they can. But they haven't done it before, and stuff can go sideways at the last minute with an unforseen problem.
Who knows if Hound is junk science or not? They don't give specifics, and there is no play to invest in them anyway. They look sketchy to me in a lot of ways. They get their name mentioned in articles. Anybody can do that,
That dept. at U of F is the real deal. Companies like ThermoFischer don't sell FAIMS machines because they are junk.
IMHO, based on my research, this looks like a good play and has good science to back it up.
