Sure...
They can't all be in 1 country...
Like I said in the previous post, I got back into FSESX this afternoon.
I sold it earlier this week when I saw (panicked) it gap.
Between the new money coming in, and Iran in the news again, it's got to be good for oil.
I looked at Contra, but passed. It didn't seem like my cup of tea.
I've been holding FEMKX and FLATX since Dec 05. Sold them today because they're going into their seasonal flat/loss period. They've had a down week, and I got out.
Picked up FSESX (energy services) this afternoon. It has a good period beginning the 3rd week of the year.
I might pick up FNARX next week.
I ran a test of the sectors. We'll see how they go this year.

3% per month return on a 401(k) is OK in a market that is moving sideways.
In the last quarter of '05, I applied seasonality to 1/3 of my portfolio and made over 5% per month on those monies.
There's very few that make money beginning of the year. The ones that do perform (exceed 4%) are energy related.
Nov and Dec are the best consecutive months. Most of the gains are made then.
You have no idea how much I appreciate this. I have to buy and sell what they have.
I'll send you a spreadsheet by email that includeds the ones available.
Thanks!!!
Thanks.
Gold figures into my 401k investment strategy, but not this early.
Thanks to newfound data, the plan may change.
Hello Ken, not that I'm a bear, but I've noticed something.
While doing my weekly research the Fidelity Select Mutual Funds, almost without exception, they've gapped up on the weekly chart.
I have a sneaky suspicion cash will be my friend in February.
I missed it!!
Where is the landslide setup posted?
Thanks!
If the the Google product comes user friendly and secure, it'll be a good race.
Hello Ken, a question about GZFX
I see the one of the Magic Boxes confirming on Dec 13th, but I don't see the other one. Where is it?
Thanks.
Hi Ken. Thanks for your response.
Can there be a Magic Box between the 2 sides of the fairy square, or must the magic boxes be consecutive?
Hello Ken. A quick question... well maybe quick?
Is the formation I see on AITX a valid 'Fairy Square?'
The first Magic Box occured on Nov 29, the second on Dec 22, and confirmation on Dec 23.
Thanks!
Hello Ken. I thought I'd try my hand at this.
Aroon down crossed 70, aroon up still at 0. Williams%R crosssed 50. ChiOsc touching 0. +DI about to cross -DI. MACD fast line has crossed slow line and is heading towards 0
I don't see the magic box tho... Too early??
kgoodrich, I'm just not getting it...
Where is the setup for Versant, Hudson, etc.
I see some differeent setups in them, but not the 7 points at the top of the post.
Hello kgoodrich, thanks for your help.
I just subscribed, and logged in to the Seasonality.com website. What a wealth of info!
This old bit head can crunch the numbers for liquidity, but I'll need a little help with the charts.
It seems reading the charts is as much art as it is science.
Thanks,
Dwain
Hello Kgoodrich.
So, if the fast line of the Stoch has crossed the slow line, all bets are off?
Thanks,
Dwain
Hello kgoodrich.
Looking at the chart, I think I see the setup starting on about the 17th and ending on about the 22nd.
If this is true, what happened? Was it because the Williams was already over the 50 line when the Aroon DN crossed the 70 line?
Thanks,
Dwain
Thanks.
I see a website subscription in my Christmas stocking. :)
So this would be a good setup?
From 10/16 to 10/27
I have a question or or two.
Are the 7 events supposed to occur in succession, or can they occur randomly?
Is there a way to guage the amount a stock will 'pop' after a Magic Box setup?
Hello kgoodrich.
I'd like to screen stocks programatically.
Have you ever tried (or heard of someone) that successfully scanned with TC200 (Worden Brothers stock screener) for the setups described?
Is there one you use or recommend?
Thanks,
Dwain
I vote for a stop loss.
When a stock really heads south on bad news, you want to get out as early in the game as you can and pray there are buyers.
Refco?
I have a '87 Nissan PU that falls on its nose whenever you give it too much gas. Mechanic said it was a 'throttle position sensor'.
A perfect example
why the <enter> key should be disabled. <sheepish grin>
Sorry...
Thanks,
Dwain
hello kgoodrich I could use a little help.
I have a ton of questions, but will wait until there's a response from my email sent to support.
Thanks for your help so far.
Thanks,
Dwain
I agree the rate of return is superior to what I currently hold or have available through Fidelity, but how do you achieve 500% return per month and stay away from penny stocks?
While I have nothing against penny stocks, pink sheets, or OTCBB, as there are many reputable companies that trade in this manner, I tend to be wary of these because of their volume. It may go like gangbusters one week, then interest and volume dry up the next.
Thanks,
Dwain
FWICT your method works, and I do appreciate your help.
500% return per month, revolving is great!
I've been trying to figure out which one(s) have the greatest chance of increasing each month. Sector timing, newsletters, momentum trading, etc., none of their returns are appealing. The best ones are in the range of 20% return.
I like the idea of being able to do my own research and see the setups take place.
It may take a little more time, but the rewards are worth it.
Thanks,
Dwain
Thank you.
I agree, the Domestic Equity Mutual Funds come up lacking.
Sector funds and a few of the International Equity (FLATX and FEMKX) are currently the best Fidelity has to offer.
Thanks,
Dwain
I'm impressed.
This works! I looked at a few Mutual Funds available from Fidelity. The only indicator that didn't match on FSDPX was the DI.
I've been looking for a way to trade these and hold for a month so I don't get hit with a bunch of fees.
Thank you!!!!
Thanks,
Dwain
Newbie in the learning process...
In the post, Aroon is set to 8, but in the ultimate setup it's set to 22.
Did I blink and miss something? Is it OK at either setting?
Thanks,
Dwain
Pardon my jumping in, but I'm a tad confused.
