TSX is at 1.98 cdn up 1.15
on 1.5 million volume
Lard.
TSX going crazy. We hit 1.22CDA in the last 5 minutes
Lard
Thanks ge11 and Putz, I even got to the icon/window to watch the Claman Countdown. I think I also made a typo while searching I put ''Clayman''
I am good now.
Lard
Is there a way to get access to this interview from Canada?
Will they post it on Niocorp website?
Thanks
Lard
I don't think it's tax loss selling buying back.
In Canada, you have to wait 30 days until buying your stock back.
Anybody who sold after december 5th will have its tax loss deduction claim refused.
Lard
Hi Putz,
I get that. But if they presented at a FORUM, surely they can present something to us SH as well.
By the way, I understand the idea of vertical integration. I always tought from the beginning that this was not just a mine. The business model changed as new information and opportunities were available. To me its all part of building a business. Very seldom teh very first idea of a business will be the one actually operating. Things changes and evolved. Sticking to the original plan for the sake of sticking to a plan is not a recipe for success.
That is why I am still invested and have not sold a share.
Lard
Well, they must have presented something. You can't win any award without presenting anything.
But it could be they presented an innovative plan on how they intend to get the financing package, without actually having executed this plan.
In any case, I will be very dissapointed, if we get nothing nothing new at the shareholders meeting.
If they can show something to a panel of a public contest, surely they can show us at least the plan on how they intend to do it. The NDA excuse hold for the banks but at a contest????
As a reminder, we voted on something we know absolutely nothing about.
Lard
If that is the case, the red shovel in the videos was totally uncalled for and that would be misleading. Since I don't know if its material enough, I'll wait to get more info. I am pretty sure that there will be questions at the AGM if we don t get more clarification in other news release. That was very short and there was not enough details and too many ifs in there.
Lard.
Somebody said to me ‘’It’s much easier to buy than to sell on the stock market’’ and through the years, that has been demonstrated to me on several occasions. Good for you Spunk to be able to have this kind of detachment. Good luck in your future investment.
Lard
Hi Putz, we are definitely on the same page.
Also we need to remind everyone that it is part of the CEO's job to always promote his company's stock. Always….Weather they need to issue shares or not. When a share price is high and healthy, it prevents hostile takeover or unsolicited offers OR…. A low ball offer on a buy out.
Lard
I stick to (actually, I think it confirm) my post from yesterday. Its for institutional to take a position on Niocorp. It does not have to be newly issued shares for them to buy Niocorp shares. Do we all think that everytime a fund manager or money manager get into a company is with newly issued shared? I think not.
The two conference in September is to get them to buy in the open market. So to me, its a very good thing.
We need to go up for a couple of reasons not only delution.
Remember, we all agreed that mot institutionals will not take a position in stock that are under a 1$.
Lard.
And that is why our participation to the forum is important. Not to get finances, not to issue new shares to institutional investors, but to get them to buy the ones now on the open market. When institutional investors will start buying, they won't go for 1 000 shares at a time. They'll buy big chunk, driving the price up some more. At that time there will be a better time to issue more shares to get this influx of fresh money but with minimal dilution.
Lard
Also because Scott is THE mastermind behind the operations, it's got to reassure financiers that he is not going anywhere anytime soon.
We talk a lot about this project being derisked but there are a tons of others risks that could occur. Key personnel leaving being one of them.
Congrats Scott and good luck!
Now this is forming nice and it makes sense.
Lard
I agree with you both.
Financing aside, the PESTEl analysis was SOOOOOOO different a year ago.
Any strategic tool that we could have used to analyze the company a year ago would show a very defferent result today.
Brazil was one aspect that was a real concern. Mark said ''No because they will welcome competition to avoid a monopoly'' I did not agree that much nor did I had his confidence. But as Boilermaker mentioned, the political landscape of Brazil today is way different. Clients will look for diversification of supply just because....And that's because of Covid-19.
Lard
I like the fact that the offtake are for a % of the actual planned production. As we know we will produce more (to be confirm by more drilling) the over and above portion can be sold to other parties,
I like the political answer about moving to a bigger exchange. For those who did not listen to the presentation Mark said that OTC and TSX have been very good for Niocorp and he thank them. OTC was the organizer of the presentation. It would not have been a good move to say ''We're going to leave you as soon as we can...''
But he did say that it was a natural course of actions for later.
I was disappointed with the Covid excuse. I get that things have slowed down quite a bit. But I thought that much of the work was done before Covid. Heck, we were able to get the air permit during Covid...
Lard
Thanks for the info and the links Bcomaha.
Have a great one.
Lard
And also,
I am counting on you to be right with your prediction of 94 C this mounth.
There will be only .06 cents missing. Well .07 for good measure.
Lard
Hello Putz,
You are right about that 1$ (or 5$) in an institutioanl investment policy.
That's not to say that institutinal won't go for a stock with huge potential. Bombardier has a average volume of 32.4 millions shares a day. I dont think its just retail like you and I.
A few big insvestors buy on the open market, = share price goes up = we get over 1$ and we are suddenly sexy for institutionals?????
Me think its plausible.
Lard
As everyone can see, we(the retail investors) have done our part.
No, it's not to get another private placement but to tell intitutional investors and deep pocket to get in now while its cheap. Not every investment made by institutional are made throu private placements. Mutual funs manager do buy on the open market. We just need to cater to the institutional who's into this type of investment.
Lard
Hi Putz,
At 9:00 eastern:
Bid 7 500 shares at .79
Ask 13 000 shares At .79
On the rise but not in the millions in terms of volume.
Lard
I agree with you. This level of commitment speak volume.
Lard
I think there was a survey made 2-3 years back on the "approximate" amount of shares this board is controlling. I think it was more than that. But if I take into account all of those who said they did buy more, we are much higher that that.2 weeks ago two board menmber discussed their holding I think it was Kmac at 170 000 et the other one at 200 000. It does not take long that it amounts to 10 millions shares. It only takes 50 people with 200 000 shares to amount to 10 millions And some people on this board control more than 500 000.
My first purchase was on 17 january 2014. So I can safely say I have been a shareholder for the long haul.
Lard
And the other shareholders seem to be fine with this NR because the TSX is in the red and I mean REALLY in the red (at 14:00) and we are holding steady.
Lard
Maybe I could offer my two cents (sense) It might appease some of you.
I strongly believe in the force of the market.
So before Niocorp being put in default, Mark would have to formally request payment of the debt. There would be a grace period. Do not think that if the loan is due and not paid on December 15, Mark will be the sole owner of Niocorp on December 16. There would be an appearance of a conflict of interest that he did no do enaough to secure only 3.5 millions in financing. The loan will be 3.5 Millions, do you really think that other investors are willing to lose their investment over 3.5 million missing in financing. Somebody else (other shareholders) would lend the 3.5 to Niocorp so Niocorp would be able to repay Mark, and Mark (as the CEO not the debtor) would be obligated to execute this and repay himself. Not doing it would mean that he is doing this purposely and there would be sooooooo many lawsuits and court order that he would not be able to do anything for years.
This scenario and discussion as gotten out of hand.
Please stay calm. Stay rational and put that scenario to rest as you are analysing a scenario that cannot materialize.
Lard
Hi Putz,
Well then, let the market close this gap next week so we are done with it and we can move higher.
I am actually hoping for 1.25 cda PRE financing - not post financing.
Will it happen???? I do not know...
Have a very nice week end.
Lard.
I hope you are right.
I have one question for the chartist in residence.:)
How solid is the concept that we need to close a gap?
We had a .04 cents gap and going to 94 only to go back down to 73 would be dissapointing.
Thanks for the explination.
Lard
Thank you very much Nebraskan for being on this like an awk.
So could it be possible that we would'nt hear anything until the actual permit is issued?
I thought/hope that we could have a confirmation that no public hearing was scheduled.
To me this permit is a big thing.
Until we have this final permit, there could be so many delays and hearings and postponements, and hearings again and political game going on and on and on. I have seen years and years of delay on other projects.
That's why I was of the view that no financier will give/commit an actual signature until their are sure that this project is a go.
Thanks again for your work.
Much appreciated.
Lard
Let's just go through May 18 and see what happens.
I am sure that there are regular planned events line up for the next two months. But first we need to get through May 18.
Lard
No, Monocle, I am not surprised at all.
It's like when I call a client to get payment on an invoice. ''the check is in the mail'' means squat to me. I won't argue that the check is or is not in the mail. I'll ask for the check number and the date it was put in the mail and wait patiently for the check to arrive. But I wont spent the money...
I see things moving. But if I was a big bank I would not close a deal on a draft permit. So therefore a draft permit is not material information.
By the way, the authorities definition of material is ''is the information of lack thereof would make someone make a different decision??
That applies for investment decision but also any other decision...
Would a supplier be willing to start working six months prior on the faith of a draft permit??? I doubt it.... Too many thing could go wrong...
As I said: draft permit, same as draft financial statements means very little because until you get a valid signature at the bottom of a document, nobody is accountable.
By the way: I am still a patient man and I am VERY VERY happy that the draft permit is out.
Lard,
It's certainly one way to look at it.
Those who have access to lots of liquidity will be handsomely rewarded. Using one other poster's expression.
Its too late now to try to time the market and sell anything. I'd rather bet that Niocorp will bounce back (maybe in a couple of months), and we'll be back where we were 2 weeks ago with the same fundamentals. If I sell Niocorp right now , I'll acknowledge the loss of value from .80 to .60. Where I am convince that if I wait 2 months I'll be back to .80.
All the markets are taking a beating, all of them. Lets do something else other them watch the markets..
Lard.
LOL LOL LOL
Good one!
And that's why I don't take them into account.
Lard
Hi Putz,
Can you define ''Not so distant future''?
In a mine life or at the end of March?
Lard
But in all honesty, all of the very long long old timers shareholders should acknowledge the fact that they were privileged to get in below .20, understand the frustration of others. My first buy was at .22 but I also bought at 1.25$ (ouch!).
It is also recognized that it take 7 years to build a mine (give or take )....Well so far there are no shaft in the ground.
Now please do not interpret this as a vote of non confidence in management but, sometimes terms are used by management that leads us to believe that the conclusion is close. Its up to us to believe or not. If I would have held my breath every time something was said in that regards, I'd be dead by now, and more than once :) .
To me, the words ''should, could, would, maybe , we hope, as soon as possible, as fast as possible, best arrangement possible, in all likelyhood '' always meant squat because there is no engagement or no action in those term. It could not happen and someone could say''I never said it will'' or say, It was not possible to do better. (Semantic you say?).
And that is why is set my own timeline and why my expectations are still intact and I still believe I will make good money.
For the record (again) I am one of the old timer; bought in in January 2013, accumulated since, and I hold a very confortable position.
Lard
LOL LOL LOL
That one is ABSOLUTELY priceless.
Lard.
I'm on the fence,,,,
Buying more Niocorp? I already hold a significant amount...
Buying IB? I'd have 3 shares for the price of 1 NB. They are very cheap at the moment. And I don't have any shares of IB right now.
Or do I chase Nanalysis??? Chasing is not my thing. I think that Niocorp is about to pop. (Very short term) Whereas I don't know enough yet from DD on the two others. But Nanalysis would be a nice diversification
Ahhhhhhh decision decision....It's in days like this that I would like to know technical analysis....
Lard.
Hi Putz:
''I actually would like to see them as a major owner of NioCorp shares, And I also would like to see NioCorp as an owner of TechMet shares.''
This to me is the perfect definition of a merger.
This is what I see more and more forming. If Niocorp can't get to production alone, somebody will come into play. Either way, we will get this mineral out of the ground.
I am confortable waiting as long as I see big milestones being achieved.
Lard.
Just for the sake of argument,,,,
Why would Techmet be drooling over the fact that they would lend money to Niocorp? I think they would want a stake in the company(If fact I am convinced they are after shares). Since in my opinion it makes more sense for them to have shares for a corporate strategy standpoint. If they want shares, either they buy now on the stock market or we issue shares for them. Why would they want to buy the shares at 5$ when they can have them now at .80$?
Lard.
If there would be a way to make any poster accountable for his/her post on any social network (and I mean really accountable), the world would be a much better place. There are so many people that repost false information without checking the facts first. But it's sensationalism. The ''probable'' is always more interesting then the truth.
Lard.
I don't think management would let them expire on purpose. Rather I think management would be very glad if they were exercised. After all, those who got those warrants via a private placement were good to the company. A deal is a deal. Anybody with a tiny sense of honor would want to say thanks again. We are not talking about doubling the float here.
Remember those who bought in are friends of the company.
Lard.
Those who are trying to time the market or a stock according to the conversation on a board should not complain if things don't go as expected. There are countless time when I read that financing was imminent, I can feel it.... That maybe next Monday .... I am hoping for next week.....from board members. Yes its nice to dream but:
This is not what made me buy the first time nor for the following purchases. It is the proven reserves, the mine life, the Niobium, yes yes the Niobium then we added the other minerals, the company is in US not in a Banana Republic. We made the critical list.
Those are all good sign that a patient man with reasonable expectations will appreciate.
Lard
