I wonder if the run up early this week was for the sole purpose of letting Insiders get out?
Else, they didn't get the financing?
Oh well, I was hopeful. This truly is a scam by the looks of things
Its may very well be that they are getting the (large sum) financing. It is my guess this is why the share price is escalating. By extension, if they got the money you can be sure the company was closely scrutinized by the lender. Therefore, if they get the money, it is most probable that they have the signed the large contracts that are rumored.
According to the "detailed Quote" for ANY at IHub the short interest is 1.3 million shares and is relatively unchanged from yesterday.
Something is up.
Those random trades were made in honor of Derek and Hugo
Cool Hugo, keep us up to date on you Handler's next short!!
A&C, I don't know that it has been "fortitude" that has allowed me to stick it out--perhaps just stubbornness. Anyway, I hope the tide is turning, would be quite a surprise. I have way more shares in this thing that I would care to admit.
This thing is like a yoyo and is driving me to distraction.
So, by the looks of things the run up last week and the week before was to let the CEO and CFO get out of this thing (if the reports on EDGAR are correct). Hugo, how many shares did they dump each?
I went to the SEC EDGAR database and found there are no such filings whatsoever!! The last SEC filing related to Sphere was in September, this was with regards to a statement clarifying Cyrus Capitals share holdings in ANY.
You made this up Hugodrax, for shame!!
Over half a million shares per day, IMO something is definitely up. Maybe the rumours are true, and what they had "over-promised and under-delivered" in the past is finally ready for prime time.
For whatever reason, Derek really needs ANY to fail. For me, at these prices, there is absolutely no value in getting out now. I will wait and see what happens. There has been a lot of buying recently, am hoping that Sphere has a future.
rudolfo, can you explain in plain English (for a non teckie) what the links you have posted mean please?
Someone knows something (obviously). I have a feeling the new tech is getting traction out there.
CCBA, if yesterday was short covering, what were the shorts so afraid off to feel the need to get out en masse yesterday?
desmarco, maybe the rumours the past 2 months(and as intimated in the press release during the AGM) are coming to fruition. Maybe financing and contracts related to the new cloud technologies? Maybe in spite of themselves (and by luck) they have something that others want. Stay sceptical, yet hopeful (cause that's all we got right now).
Derek, I assume you are just teasing me. No one responded in any way or fashion regarding the technical aspects of Sphere and the cloud. Nothing, nada! I still don't have a clue as to what the new tech does in the cloud. So why am I in this? Was a booboo!
Probably
That's great rudolfo and mancnquesco, but seriously, can you explain what you mean in simple layman's terms to people like me who dont understand this cloud environment. I am in Sphere based on a Brokers advice, not because I have any tech savvy. Your help would be greatly appreciated.
macnquesco, can you please explain what you mean by "those who get it"? Get what? Please tell us great unwashed what you "get". At present, I am only getting poorer on a weekly basis. If you have some legitimate good news I would love to hear it!
Comatose, can you expand on what the "reasonable conclusion" is please--for the great unwashed out there. I don't know if your inference is pro or con Sphere, honestly.
That was 2 weeks ago Derek, that corporate update that caused the temporary run-up to $0.72 was released just before the start of the AGM.
Next September
TTommy, this negative barrage you speak of is one of the reasons I have remained in Sphere. Although posters like Derek make a very strong case at times (and may end up being correct), this huge increase in negativity leads me to believe that the shorts may be fearing a change in direction to the upside. Look at the sudden epiphany of former longs now converted to the short side, this has a foul odor to it. I smell fear, but it isn't with the longs. Just my opinion of course, but human nature being what it is...........
Still in Derek, but I am also the guy who held Bre-X (among others)too long. Its a gamble, am using risk money. You have been right up till now, I am gambling that you're wrong moving forward from here--no disrespect intended. (note:my temporary private message trial ended)
What if it is true this time around? What if they have succeeded in spite of themselves? Anything is possible, perhaps they have hit the lottery by chance and came up with something that works. Crazy world, in the past they never came close to meeting expectations. Maybe now, with extremely diminished expectations, they can survive and flourish. Shorts and longs will have to wait and see-this probably isn't going to zero anytime soon.
Is the AGM today?
No Insider buying whatsoever, nothing this year to date!! Something really stinks here. If there was ANYTHING credible going on with this company you would have seen some insider activity, without question. Unless of course the Insider activity is on the short side, that would make sense!
I have a paid subscription to a Canadian Service that lists all insider trading activities, corporate management, Insider names, all 10% or greater Stakeholders etc, and provides daily updates on all such activities. This service applies to all Canadian and American Exchanges. When I try to get information on Sphere 3D it comes up with a Company profile but has absolutely no Insider information whatsoever. I sent an email to the Service Provider and received the following response:
"This appears to be an interesting situation. It appears, upon my first look, that the stock trades in the US but insider filings are being made (or at least were being made) in Canada on SEDI. I do not see any SEC filings for them.
I will have to talk this over with our technical time to see what if anything can be done as our system was not designed for this type of arrangement (which I have not seen before)."
Does anyone know where we can get Insider trading activity for Sphere?
Does anyone know if Insiders have been buying up Sphere shares at these low prices?
I have a general question I was hoping someone could answer. Who decides that a message be removed from this Server? The reason I ask is that today I had posted what I considered a rather mild mannered topic and my message was removed within 15 minutes.
Thanks in advance

Some say the deals with VMware and Microsoft are just Sphere as reseller, not as a partner. I am told the company insists that they are partners. Is the answer that its both, depending on how you interpret what a partnership is?
I am new here, have just recently picked up some ANY stock. Can someone explain that it means when the company doubled the number of virtual machines to 300? I guess my question really is "how does that translate to new revenue"?
