But yes, you might be right.
Very interesting news, will look for that report. thanks
Nice day here, I bought on the dip last week. Oh look what Mr. Lithium just had to say:
Joe Lowry
?@globallithium
DYOR: $ORE looks risky in 2017 as $SQM / $LAC and $GXY both advance lower cost #lithium projects with teams better able to execute in #ARG

More pics today, testing the ponds. It's go time!
Check out their Twitter page for new pics in SA :)

I'm still holding too. I don't trade with this one since I got in so good and the long term looks great. And now seems like we're getting back on track.
Lithium Americas Provides an Update on the Cauchari-Olaroz Joint Venture Project in Argentina
VANCOUVER, BRITISH COLUMBIA, Nov 03, 2016 (Marketwired via COMTEX) -- VANCOUVER, BRITISH COLUMBIA--(Marketwired - Nov 3, 2016) - Lithium Americas Corp. (the "Company" or "LAC") (LAC)(otcqx:LACDF) is pleased to provide an update on the Cauchari-Olaroz Lithium Project (the "Project") joint venture with Sociedad Química y Minera de Chile S.A. ("SQM") in Jujuy Province, Argentina.
Further to the Company's news release dated August 26, 2016, the Board of the joint venture company, Minera Exar S.A. ("Minera Exar"), has been authorized to proceed with development planning for the Project based on the following parameters: (i) a two stage development consisting of an initial phase at 25,000 tpa LCE capacity, followed by a second stage at 25,000 tpa LCE capacity; and (ii) an accelerated path to production, with a target for commencement of construction in early 2017 and stage one production in 2019. Detailed engineering is advanced on the layout of ponds and the chemical plant flow sheet process has been defined by SQM and Hatch Canada. The Company has been advised that an update of the NI 43-101 compliant feasibility study for stage one is anticipated to be completed by year end.
The exploration program is rapidly advancing the Project to the pre-construction phase. Testing of liner materials and trials of earth moving equipment is on-going and is scheduled for completion by the end of November. Various combinations of different materials and liner configurations are being tested in ten ponds to optimize the technical and economic design and performance. Earth moving trials are underway to finalize the optimal construction methodology. Final topographical reports have been completed defining materials characteristics in different areas of the project. A second series of tests in soil mechanics are underway to determine the most efficient area to build. Construction of the project roads and 14 drill platforms is expected to be completed by the end of November. The Project campsite is being expanded with the addition of modular accommodations for 52 people.

The Company is also advancing the discussions to raise the project capital with both financial institutions and potential industry offtake partners for long-term supply contracts.
Tom Hodgson, Chief Executive Officer of LAC, commented, "We wanted to provide this update to our stakeholders and make them aware of our significant progress in developing the Project. This progress demonstrates the strong confidence of the Company's management and our 50/50 joint venture partner SQM, as well as a high level of cooperation between our management teams. The Minera Exar joint venture is committed to advancing the Cauchari-Olaroz Project to bring new lithium supply to the market in a timely manner to meet the increasing demand."

Another explosive run coming!!!
LEXG about to RUN!!!!!!
Let's RUN today!!!
LEXG! going big!!
i'd expect a pop soon, every time it gets to this level 'they' bring the price back up into the .70s
Round 2 of testing complete!
LEXG moving forward!!
You're right...but still...NEWS!!!
Big news this morning!!!
A bunch of news right before more dilution...again.
.
This is the first step towards real income...today's news.
This includes Xylem's Vice President of Investor Relations Phil DeSousa...I think today's news is encouraging, finally some real data and I know the right people are taking notice. Time will tell...
Very cool, glad to be an LAC shareholder :)
That's not what happened. What happened is that LEXG issued millions of shares today, again. But we know that is going to happen. If the unit proves itself then investors will be happy in the end.
Somewhere around 300 million OS shares.
Maybe a bit more now, just looking at the volume traded since the last reverse split.

Highlights from yesterday's conf call:
Begin contruction early 2017, production early 2019.
SQM has put their A team on the cauchari project.
Confident that this will be the next lithium brine project to come online in the world.
Confident clay can be lower cost than hard rock, but not realistic to think it will be lower cost than brine.
LAC is focusing on cash flow, being a low cost producer, and risk mitigation. focusing on production of hydroxide.
Dr Deak...didn't hire him directly from tesla, but they knew him very well from tesla. Heard he had decided to leave tesla and was considering joining Apple
...LAC decided they might be able to recruit him and were successful.
Dr Deak was on the gigafactory team for a couple years...did ground work with figuring our sourcing raw materials with tesla and panasonic. he's coming from tech sector...but sees opportunity for mining to use tech.
difference between supply and demand for Li is extremely tight right now... says Deak
new Li projects that come online need to be able to survive the bad days and not just thrive in the good days.
lot of detailed battery talk from Deak...cathodes, chemistry, cylindrical cells, prismatic cells, super capacitors, cycle life etc.
LAC not focusing on energy storage market...focusing on EV market, which requires the light weight/high power aspect of Li whereas storage does not.
7500-8000 /ton in LAC economic analysis...viweing current high spot prices as an anomally.
very close to the bottom of the cost curve...cauchari...mostly because of SQM by applying atacama approach to cachari,
despite some differences...for example need bigger evaporations ponds for cauchari

At this point I cannot keep up with all the bullish reports on the Lithium boom and specifically SQM/LAC. It's almost everyday. Love that the PPS is holding strong even through the first few days of Brexit. Can't wait for the updated feasibility report...Cheers!
good correction, thanks.
There's been about 400 mil shares traded since the middle of March. I would submit 75% of those were issued. Giving LEXG a current OS count of ~300 million shares, and a market cap of ~1.6 mil $
Dr. David Deak, Chief Technical Officer of LAC and President of Lithium Nevada Corp. commented, "We are committed to developing this very large Nevada clay-based lithium resource to provide the battery industry with a new supply source of lithium hydroxide. Our efforts in 2016 will be focused on establishing new design criteria for low cost commercial scale production of lithium hydroxide with a flow sheet and mine plan that sets new standards for environmental sustainable resource development. We will be advancing the engineering development work, and growing the technical team to build on the excellent foundation that has already been established."
From that news release. Will be very interesting to see what they come up with. I have a good feeling about it, with Mr. Deak at the helm.
