FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE
ZIGBEE 2006 AND FOUR NEW GOLDEN UNIT PLATFORMS
NOW PUBLICLY AVAILABLE
Rapidly Expanding Supply Chain Offers OEMs 34 Compliant Platforms for Product Design
San Ramon, Calif. – December 12, 2006 – The ZigBee® Alliance, a global ecosystem of companies
creating wireless solutions for use in residential, commercial and industrial applications, today
announced the public availability of the ZigBee 2006 specification released to the Alliance membership
last September and the availability of the first four platforms supporting that specification. The Alliance
now offers original equipment manufacturers (OEMs) the latest enhancements to build new products that
leverage the numerous strengths and features of ZigBee technology.
The first platforms to implement the latest version of the ZigBee standard and to pass independent
testing by one of two ZigBee qualified testing labs, receive Golden Unit status. These new platforms are
from Ember, Freescale Semiconductor, Integration Associates and Texas Instruments. The Alliance
requires a minimum of three independent implementations to prove a specification revision and
demonstrate interoperability to insure the quality of future ZigBee products. Golden Units are then
established as reference points for future ZigBee Compliant Platform (ZCP) testing.
“Awarding Golden Unit status to ZigBee platforms represents an important step in providing a solid
networking foundation for OEMs to develop a variety of products that offer more control for consumers
and businesses around the world,” said Bob Heile, chairman of the ZigBee Alliance. “With certification of
these four new ZigBee Compliant Platforms, it made perfect sense for us to post the latest version of
ZigBee earlier than our original Q1 2007 date. It is now available on www.zigbee.org for free download –
just in time for the Holiday’s.”
The ZigBee Alliance will host a Developers Conference on April 3-5, 2007 in San Jose, Calif. to train
attendees on the latest features and updates found in ZigBee. To register, please visit
http://zigbee.org/en/events/index.asp#devconf2007.
The newly qualified Golden Unit platforms supporting the latest update of the ZigBee specification are:
Ember – EmberZNet™:

ZigBee 2006 is optimized for use in products typically used by consumers and offers improvements and
new features, simplifying application development, network management and maintenance. ZigBee 2006
uses mesh networking to communicate over the globally available 2.4 GHz frequency and 868/915 MHz
technology in select countries. With digital spread spectrum technology, and the most number of
channels, ZigBee networks offer superb immunity to interference. This simplicity of design and operation
ensures consumers of all backgrounds can install products and maintain their network in minutes.
Thanks to unique technology, a typical low-power ZigBee device runs on universally available batteries
for years, eliminating the need for wiring to a power source and providing unparalleled convenience and
flexibility.

good luck you will need it...thats is the only thing, besides your prayers that can help management to get monies to continue...and dont forget all the india employees....what 60 it engines!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
come on nano...ive stated many reasons why i dont like the way this company (that i am shareholder of) is being managed...
so i dont pump it like some..i remain confident in the technology that abew has to offer the wireless community...but, the management is and will be the problem until they humble themselves.....we are faced with dilution and that is n-stage for a pink!!!! have you not seen that before throughout your investments??
later
go abew
hey nano....is dilution in the tea leaves???
i want to be able to post posts like yours...so im going to be a good little boy!!!! and not violate any of the rules..just like you..ya gotta give credit when its due....$.06 on or around 12/22/06... now thats being utile..unless yall want to be bagholders...

go abew !!!!
well if i read the atricle correctly maxstream has one of four products that have been certified...who else is there???
well according to some here and rb...1.1 certification is not available until on or about 2007....so why would the zigbee alliance post news about such things...heck no money to be made with 1.0, all is hedging on 1.1 as all the pros say....i cant figure how some of theys zigbee companies are running if 1.1 is not available.....they all must be in abew's boat of financial dismay !!!!!!
later
go abew!!!
now why would anyone want to put out a pr like the one below...if 1.1 is not available ????? huhhh!!! 4me or any other abew pro ?? i think i know the answer, but am reluctant to share!!!

the facts about abew to date that are very discouraging are:
.155 pps (near 52 week low)
pink sheet stock
huge debt
large os (approaching 100 million)
i think kk's refering to the first three quarters of 2007...and if the house is not cleaned, the last quarter and into 2008 as well.....imooooo

old news 4me...hump day today...we should hear this week
maybe this can happen to zigbee...
UWB bolts from the starting gate
By Jack Shandle
It was almost as if the starting bell had rung at the Kentucky Derby.
No sooner had the WiMedia Alliance announced the six chip sets that had been certified for PHY interoperability compliance for Certified Wireless USB than my email inbox started filling up with news releases from four of the six companies whose product had been certified.
More information about the certifications, see WiMedia Alliance certifies six IC products for UWB interoperability .
Market success is as much a matter of catching the right wave as it is having the best technology. So it is not surprising that the competitors want to get as much ink (electronic and otherwise) as possible.
Watching the companies jockey for position over the next year or so will be interesting—and instructive.
Technology competence cannot be ignored, of course, but we can consider the WiMedia Alliances PHY blessing as the "technology cut," more or less. Although other companies can still be in the hunt, the first six have to be considered out in front.
In case you haven't been watching, the six companies are: Alereon, Inc., Realtek Semiconductor, Staccato Communications, Tzero Technologies, Inc., WiQuest Communications, and Wisair
What are some of the other considerations these companies have to worry about? First, they have to pick the right application. Is it USB-over-UWB as WiQuest and Wisair have apparently concluded, or, is Tzero Technologies on the right track by pursing video-over-UWB?
It's not necessarily an either/or question. The ability to lock up system-level heavyweights on your chipset is a key question. Top-tier PC peripheral companies such as Belkin might want to chip-set suppliers, but they don't need a third for fouth.
Geography is another issue. I haven't heard anything from RealTek yet but inasmuch as it is based in Taiwan, I might guess that they have the inside track on making a deal with a Taiwanese peripheral company.
Speaking of geography, UWB also has a multi-mode question. Do you go after the U.S. and Asian market by directing all your effort into chips that operate in the 3-GHs band, or, do you set your sites on higher bandwidth operation and patiently wait for the European Community regulators to baptize the 5 GHz band?
As they used to say on radio, stay tune for later developments.
rather then complaining...one ought to sue, sue, sue!!!! heck i guess we should not watch
tv...liberals/conservatives/left/right/white/black/genocide/rape/pedifilia/
enron/kfc/nuclear power/ on and on.....i guess theres nothing to complain about or blame on human instinct, moral character, on and on and on.....or just maybe surrender and turn it over to a higher power, on and on.....
keep guessing and have a geat day
sorry 4me...im in a different boat..beleive it or not..make no dispute my friend !!
nite
wouldnt you like that..so only a couple other posters can keep you in check...i like your short hold position....is redder better???
i hope to get so black into this stock that my profits with such a small position out weights yours with millions!!!!!
later
tomorrow is wednsday---hump day---if the verbiage is correct from the president of this company on the message board, we should know something this week in regards to the pink problem!!!
i for one am not holding my breath...
regardless of what you think you know...abew is in deeeep debt with mindtree and 50% of something is at stake....dont throw the 1.0 and 1.1 crap around.....the biggest issue is pink, like your glasses........and oh..maybe no monies!!!!!
its time for you to think realisticly...and i do understand your loosing your shirt on this company...you said sometime back you were going to start making noise with management......i only hear silence on that issue and loud pumps on your agenda issues....my friend!!!!
your in a nutshell 4me...what dont you understand about the mindtree agreement??? if you can find the entire agreement you may have to lift the rose colored glasses up some....if you can find it..hey what the heck we are a reporting company....hmmmmmmmmmmmm...one big reason why the house has to be cleaned....quick!!!!
In a nut shell!!!!
With regard to our current liabilities at June 30, 2006, $104,056 is payable to related note holders who have deferred repayment (one has deferred interest of $18,153 as well). Trade payables at June 30, 2006 of $753,664 are outstanding and will be paid as they come due or as payment may be extended by agreement of the parties. One vendor, MindTree Consulting Pvt. Ltd. ("MindTree"), accounted for 53% of the Company's accounts payable. MindTree provided services to the Company under a Time and Materials Contract dated March 30, 2005 (the T&M Contract"). On a monthly basis, MindTree invoiced the Company for work it performed. Payment terms were net 30 days. The Company was unable to pay the invoices as they became due and, by informal agreement, extended the repayment terms monthly. On December 15, 2005, the Company entered into a written agreement with MindTree by which it agreed to pay MindTree $200,000 on or before December 23, 2005 and $100,000 per month on the last business day of each succeeding month until the outstanding indebtedness of approximately $580,000 was fully paid. The Company's performance was secured by the software code (the "Intellectual Property") MindTree developed under the T&M Contract. If the Company defaulted in making any payment when due and such default was not cured within five business days after receipt of a notice of default, MindTree would be entitled to co-own the Intellectual Property, with any revenue the Company realized from the Intellectual Property during the co-ownership period to be split 50-50 with MindTree. To date, the Company has paid MindTree $200,000 pursuant to this agreement. As of August 7, 2006, the Company is behind in making the scheduled payments. MindTree has not yet issued any notice of default and has extended the deadline to substantially complete the repayment until October 31, 2006.
Now they have extended the deadline to Jan. 2007
What then???? Below is the site for Mindtree, maybe someone can understand what 50% of abew can do for Mindtree?? IMO----they will take the 50%, and hopefuly shake up the management into recruiting better officers---IMO
