Why don't you take a look at their patent portfolio?
Yeah, not an easy choice...one reason I like SWET is they have the patents..unlike graphene where there will be a bunch of players in the field.
I heard solar panels with graphene will be a whole new level of efficient..but they're probably like 10-20 years away from being mass produced.
No one is bashing solar panels, including SWET. The important thing about renewable energy is that it will take several types to fill the demand..SWET is just one of many.
Wind Power Is Actually Cheaper Than Coal, Says Leaked Government Report
http://motherboard.vice.com/read/wind-power-is-actually-cheaper-than-coal-says-leaked-government-report
Not on the sticky as far as I can tell.
Tomo News US TV Piece
The actual figure is easily available, btw...not some sort of secret. Do some research.
I think you mean some utilities run on coal...your computer is plugged into a wall...c'mon...you know what I mean.
And where on earth you get a figure of 100s billions?
Oh dear...so if it's never been done, it means it can never be done?
Your computer running on coal?
Google?
Answer = no. There never has been a reason to.
As for the water, there's some documents floating around showing how much water San Luis has rights to per year...the amount they've guaranteed is well withing their water rights.
As for a second tower, while they said they don't have the water..that doesn't add up with the info that the land will use less water than the orchard before it..so my take on it is they want to see one tower up and running and prove the water requirements before they guarantee water rights for a second.
"not even a scale model" ok...that's it...I'm done arguing with you...you guys keep rehashing the same old arguments and clearly have done little to no DD, like listening to the conference calls.
Gonna end it on this..not gonna keep wasting my posts....this is a risky investment. Everyone knows it..everyone has accepted it...deal with it.
Personally, I've only put as much money as I'm willing to lose...so one way or another, I'm going to be alright.
Forgetting JDF who dished out 1.5 million? Get real bro.
LOL..you think JDF doesn't have access to a mathematician? I guess SWET should have hired you from the get go..saved everyone a whole lot of time.
That's not my point...I'm suggesting that because you haven't listened to the conference calls you don't know "why" scale models haven't been built.
Well I would assume the person with $1.5 billion has more resources at their disposal than us to validate the claims and physics. I'm talking about us as small time investors.
lol, you haven't listened to the conference calls have you. Surprise surprise. No, scale model has not been built because of the heights required of tower, smaller scale doesn't perform.
You're gonna have to accept that this company is in development...as in proof of concept has not been established. Really, you think the company would be worth 10 mil if proof of concept had been established? The risk to reward ratio is as big as it is because the company is in early stage, you're gonna have to accept that...all of the investors have. We all accept that once this thing is built, it may simply not perform as expected.

Yeah, please do. He means proprietary as in trade secret, not as in patentable.
Chile Now (Arguably) World’s Top Renewable Energy Market
http://cleantechnica.com/2014/10/11/chile-now-arguably-worlds-top-renewable-energy-market/
Listen, contact the authors and get back to us. I'm getting ready to stop feeding you again.
What on earth are you talking about?
Seriously, have you listened to the conference calls yet?
THIRD PARTY STUDY NEVER REFERRED TO BY SWET
If you bothered to listen to the shareholder conference calls, you'd know that this has been addressed.
As far as I can tell, no one claimed otherwise.
Lets see if I get this..so you're quoting a third party study that was never referred to by SWET, you've found an apparent error in this third party study (yet failed to contact the authors, but thats irrelevant) and now you're suggesting this somehow reflects on SWET?
Sounds about right?
Not sure if that's such a great idea..giving RP's personal number..for all you all know this guy could spam the number. I'd let the company deal with him and his outlandish claims...just imo.
Seriously..if this guy is the "expert" he claims to be, there's no need for you to get involved.

India will be renewables superpower, says energy minister

If you really understood it you'd be able to tell us the info in layman's terms. Btw, "seemingly" random...means might as well be random, or written in Chinese, cause it doesn't make any sense, and I'd bet money it doesn't make sense to you either, you just figure it would make good fodder for your endless stream of negative comments.
No, what you've posted is a seeming random collection of numbers, and some strange equation "Construction[M$]=648+0.32GPInstalled+0.4PPInstalled+2.85D" which says nothing to either of us or anyone here I'm pretty sure.
You've in no way presented any info that suggests the energy required will be more than 10% for desalination, besides your opinion that the CEO is lying..but you've already said that before.
Did you even bother to read my previous posts? I'm not suggesting they are going to pump sea water into the tower.
And the source of your counter claims is....?
I doubt it...there's a chronic lack of fresh water in the north of Chile...personally I'd be opposed to using fresh water.
Well unless you want to give us other numbers, what we've been told is 10%, with excess fresh water.
From what I can tell the tower itself won't be doing the desalination, but the energy it provides will power the desalination plant, and it will create more fresh water than it uses..so yes..basically this tower will provide both cheap energy and cheap fresh water. Alpha is right.
Pretty sure I remember Pickett saying desalination will cost 10% of the towers sellable energy, or gross..not sure.
