Some heavy-weights in Hawaii applying for MJ licenses; which will influence banks in a large way to accepting and creating account/funds. It's a matter of time as I stated earlier.
www.pressreader.com/usa/honolulu-star-advertiser/20151005/281487865170676/TextView
Just to show how ignorant I am in hanldling MJ, I just read an article from the Michiganmedicalmarijuana.com about shelf life for MJ. In that article people like myself asked the same question re: shelf life.
The response was not as I thought; 1st off plastic bags imparts hydrocarbons on a molecular level degrading the MJ. Recommend using mason jars in different sizes(to your needs) and storing in dark places.
On a different article freeze drying might be another option??
Paul, I understand the Democratic administration seems to be leaning in favor off, got my fingers crossed it will eventually happen; plus Obama hails from Hawaii and I think understands what most people in Hawaii feel in favor of, medicinal(foremost) and recreational. The old timers in Hawaii refer to MJ as: Pakalolo.
edechtold77, I'm with you on what you mentioned about the Republican Convention in Colorado; hope things go in favor of what we're discussing.
An article in The Staradvertiser from Hawaii, regarding the agency which issues licences to sell MJ has encouraged banks to accept funds from sellers. Wait and see challenging federal law.
Not, FDA.Meant,FDIC.
Colorado MJ growers/dealers was trying to establish banks which would service this industry.
I stand corrected, only Nevada by counties and I think Rhode Island.
So, back to square-one, where/how do these businesses do their banking is what I was trying to get at?
I'm reading how Colorado shot down MJ's requests to have banks accept their money for safe keeping, etc. It's something everyone in this business are concerned about. Anything other than your FDA banking-institutions would be extremely expensive over head for growers/dealers.
Find out how Neveda and I presume other "houses of pleasure"in other states do their banking as I would think the Feds. rules prostitution-illegal nation wide?, except if the states where these businesses exist makes provision of prostitution legal. Where do they bank??
great get my friend. I'm with you on your sentiments.
AC7880; Thanks for that info. added to my list of options.
Good morning, Paul; I was just curious, I purchased my Kays stock through my bank. Did you go directly through Kays and if so was it a simple task?
Also, did you get a lower rate?
Good one Paul, got my fingers crossed for your good fortune.
bingo! with nasdaq. If you want my shares it's going for, $1.00 per share..cheap at this rate. ha,ha.
appreciate you thanks.
quarterly, makes sense tuvm.
Correct me if I'm wrong, but how come with only one operation there's no report from Kays about current sales like I've read here by fellow bloggers that other dispensaries are announcing big bucks rolling in?
Chris20
I no longer subscribe to private msg.s as it's not turned out to be beneficial on my part; aka-no responses, don't need it.
boamike; appreciate your response. It takes like an accounting/attorney to understand, "convertible-this/convertible-that." I feel a head trauma coming on. thanks though, maybe if after re-reading it over and over I can get a sense of that info.
Does anyone know how far along Kays is in opening the 2nd & 3rd stores?
Looks like they are waiting on some numbers $$$ to see if it's worth their efforts to proceed with the 2nd/3rd stores.
That Edgar report, does not paint a beautiful picture, especially when comparing the trifle sales against total loses. That's one huge mountain to climb? A miracle has to happen the way I see it; but I'll let my stock stand as is and wait things out like some of you.
Plus, from what I've read the state will not stop at any certain figure in issuing licenses. And location is the prime pre-requisite.
All we can do is and see how things go; I believe there might be some dispenseriers will fold because profits don't out weigh overhead expenses.
Never know until it tried. Wave some green to the feds and you might change things. (win-win situation).
Thanks, I get the message.
(must grow in-state), yes that's a good rule; I sent CEO of KAYA a personal message to get his response and never got a return response; I asked him whether KAYA ever entertained the possibility of purchasing seeds or plants, etc. from where marijuana is banned? Rather than destroying marijuana have some arrangement(s) where selling products to states through government counterparts who can control the exchanges taking place and making the exchange a win-win program. Call the exchange, (Inter-control) for example. It helps the other end pay for their operations, etc.
Goodbuddy; appreciate ur response, but who are, "they?"
I'm wondering why the purchase of kays/stocks are not showing anything signicant? That's why I figured with the number of licences allowed and more to come explains to some degree the dilution which I mentioned earlier. As far as they are concerned do you mean consumers?, which I would like to know in as far as sales go. Got any numbers for us/me?
I embrace recreational Marijuana/medical as well, it's been a longtime coming. There was a time what with my medical disabilities and living in Texas I was thinking strongly of relocating to Oregon to be with my older son and his family so I could get a hold of this product for medicinal purposes. Well, truth be told, my health has taken an upswing and I'm feeling better, so making that moving transition won't be necessary.
Still, I am very happy for those who need it for medical reasons as well as those who want it for recreational purposes. More power to you all.
Thanks for your remarks. Four million living in Oregon, but how many medically or for recreational purposes are consumers?? 4 million?, I don't think so. I wonder what the sales were like in this 1st week for Kays?
Correct me if I'm wrong with these numbers but I recollect reading that there were so far over 300 licenses issued, to sell marijuana in Oregon maybe more now which adds to the dilution of concentrated profits for KAYS??
Looks like it when comparing the stock purchases of late? That being said, I think it prudent going foward to use caution in how much more shares I would purchase.
Paul; in which manner of communication have you used to speak to Mr. Craig personally? phone/text???
You must be someone special to accomplish this as I've texted him with no answer the same as when I left you a msg. on this board, "no answer."
Don't get me wrong; I think Oregon with their new laws, etc. is a sure bet.
Looks like people in the know$$ are starting to ramp up efforts in selecting where to set up shop, Nevada being one one of the areas being targeted.
I wonder if that shooting rampage in Oregon just yesterday affected mara-weed sales??
Northshore; are you situated on the northshore of Oahu, Hawaii??
Wonder if this company of which I hold a small chunck of change will be able to support, "need and demand?"
Hi, Paul;
I stumbled upon this site and information about KAYS by chance. Up until that point which is just recently, my eldest son who lives in S. Dakota told me that he had plans to pick up roots and resettle in Southern Oregon where he and partners intended to go into growing/selling Marijuana. Upon reading up on KAYS, etc. I decided to invest a small amount of funds. That being said I also advised my son to look at KAYS and maybe he'd revise his plans. I don't think he and his partners can compete with the likes of KAYS. Anyways, another reason being moving to warmer weather.
wter,
Appreciate ur response, but I've already made my exit.
If there's a turn around it won't be for couple years from now. I'll keep abreast with this stock and see how it does in the future. However, I've made my decision and think it's the right move for myself.
Like I stated before, I don't have any trust in the people running this company first off, and don't think they are concerned for stock holders period. Cha-ching$$$.
Goodbye folks; just sold my stock in WTER, and moving on.
Ms. Fink; check out KAYS. I'm thinking $increase in October/November.
I'm seriously thinking dumping whatever I have an buying weed-stock.
