That's what I was thinking. It's a lot more fun than kicking former fellow investors in the face when they are losing money. I'm chasing some fish here in a bit.
Back on topic. Stark it is clearly better to find money from businesses that find your plan compelling. Maybe Sylios can do that going forward, I don't know. I am tracking a bunch of MJ plays and most of them need it now to avoid the dilution game.
Are you trying to drive this down another tick for a re-entry for a bottom bounce? Or are you just amusing yourself?
UNGS nor most all other US MJ OTC companies are not going to have the legals in place to make revenues soon. If Sylios plan is real they are launching subsidiaries that are new. Everybody here that has been following the story, and has an understanding of the US MJ biz gets that by now.
If you have a real comparison to make vs another MJ vending company then post up some details.
Even if the plan is real, the dilution will likely continue IMO and it's why I stepped out until I see evidence of plan execution.
Sound guidance Curious. Most growth sectors will run wildly beyond the fundamentals from time to time. Just because you are a "long" doesn't mean you shouldn't trim positions when the opportunity presents itself. Doesn't matter how good your company is. You'll avoid some pain over time if you don't allow the greed emotion to override common sense. It's pretty rare when you don't get an opportunity to buy back some cheaper shares eventually. Usually sooner than you think.
MJ sector definitely needs more sound companies. As far as MJ hype being over who really knows? I belief the sector will have it's nice runs like any other emerging growth sector. I definitely agree most of the companies are for swing trades though.
All MJ stocks will remain extremely volatile until revenues and eventual earnings are predictable. Just like any other emerging market investment timing will be everything for anyone concerned about short term value in your position. Abattis is my choice for a company that can make the transition to solid profitability in MJ. The share price will reflect it in the future.
Agreed Regiment. I've invested a lot of time in this stock and will watch for verified and significant progress. For now I just couldn't stay around and watch my spec account go any lower while this thing is in free fall. It would be different if the pinkies told you upfront we are doing a secondary offering for xxx shares and spending the proceeds on "this". Going long in any of them just requires too much trust unfortunately. It couldn't possibly be any more obvious to a CEO that selling additional shares right now will crush the current shareholders. I'll be curious to read the next financials.
Yoda is not a Canuck. He is however an MJ DD monster and knows the differences between US and CA licensing and laws in general. We exchange many emails a day and he is explaining to me the farce that most of the US MJ OTC game is until many laws change. Anyway when he told me he spent 90 minutes on the phone with ATTBF CEO I knew we had an investment that would not disrupt my sleep patterns :)
Thanks Curious, I have a lot to learn on the smaller exchanges and Canada. My last significant CA plays were Nortel and JDSU very long ago. But lets not talk about them lol. You and Darth Yoda have sold me on the superiority of your CA Stock Market Police.
Thanks that is what I want to hear. It's nice to be in a transparent company.
Call me out if I post up anything negative that is unwarranted. I want to be wrong OK. I am a straight shooter and don't manipulate to buy shares cheaper tomorrow. Just closed out my first red trade for 2014 today and it stung my spec account bad.
Regarding ATTBF. We need to KNOW if the company is dumping shares or not. I'm inclined to think not. It would be a total disregard for shareholders at this level and the CEO doesn't seem to play that game in my brief experience with Abattis. I just endured my worst experience in a long time from the secret massive dilution BS game but it was a pinkie. (UNGS)
Unfamiliar with the ticker but I will give it a look.
Hard to say why. Big holders cut losses or take profits and move on for better short term opportunity. No arguing our technicals are garbage right now.As long as it isn't dilution I have lots of patience for a company of this quality.
Ouch! I didn't see that coming after good news. Looks like some capitulation. I arrived just in time to catch the falling knife. I'm fortunate my avg isn't MUCH higher so I'll keep my moaning to a minimum.
Best of luck to all you guys. I drew a line in the sand at 8 and it didn't hold. Have to save some capital so I can live for another fight.
Sincerely hope this runs hard for all of you longs real soon!!!
Go UNGS!!!!
Sorry Curious, feel fre to delete my last. I failed to read the intro and see this is for microcaps only. I'll be back sometime with appropriate material :)
Large cap biotech thoughts for the short and mid-term? I like them all longterm :) I think they are ready for a modest pullback with their summer run and S&P and NAZ in the recent churning mode.
GILD is fundamentally cheap in spite of it's run if the earnings estimates are close to accurate. I like CELG on a pullback. I've owned these too and recently took some profits. Would love to get into GWPH in time for MJ season. Hoping for some low 80s for entry.
Any other thoughts for some balance to my OTC plays?
Chart doesn't currently suggest buying at the ask is a prudent strategy. We are obviously finding a bottom and I am already long. Just building the position up. Hope the day soon comes where one must hit the ask to get in. GLTY
Buy orders wouldn't fill today. Will try again tomorrow. I need more shares!
Thanks for the link Darth, and glad you dropped in. I'm the noob here and have much more to learn about the Abattis strategy.
Revenues in any amount would be a very positive step. It certainly lessens the need to frequently sell new shares as most all of the OTC does.
We'll move this Critter. He has time to put this thing together well enough by then. We screwed up by being a reporting company. What we really need is no transparency and a liberal dose of Twitter and Facebook hype. I've learned a lesson here. BS without any meaningful attempt to make it reality works much better I the short term here. We have a compelling pps for new investors interested in a quick double or better during MJ season. Our time will come.
Revenues don't pay the building rent. Profits do. But that isn't how the OTC really works. Just selling something drives the pinkies. Losing money on every sale but we'll make it up on volume lol. Ridiculous but it works very well here. :)
Fundamentals involve earnings per share. Missing from virtually all OTC stocks and that is just how it is. They move on future hope of longterm fundamentals. UNGS is not alone here. The MJ index lacking fundamentals by any widely accepted measure.
The context of my statement was long term.
Go UNGS, I'm not here for 2017 :)
I found it early and tried to find a reason to buy it beyond iHub BS. It was (and still is) a lotto ticket. It's been resilient on dips for sure. A sign the market is clearly NOT done with BS MJ stocks this fall. The US MJ stocks will roll again, even if they shouldn't. As long as the payoff is there the masses will come.
I'll sleep a little (a lot) better with ATTBF, and be willing to invest more on dips if they come.
Yup, reinvested dividends are boring. Over time your stock is up 500% with negligible LT risk. The dot com bubble taught me to put most of my money in stuff you don't need to babysit. Nothing wrong with speculation but if all your money is doing it pretty soon you'll will be starting over. It's a rare bird with a different long term record. Extreme gambling leads to more until you lose big. I shorted AOL just a little too early lol. Great idea, extremely poor timing. :(
Thanks Whistler, I do want to do some short termers because the thrill of the OTC is some of the attraction. Bets will be small though as this is a new world for me lol.
Curious you don't know boring until you look at my big cap port of pharma, oil drillers and utilities I've held for decades. They are up huge, but yeah, it was kinda boring lol.
Thanks Curious. I've gotten my nose bloodied on US OTC MJ hype already so I'll keep any hyped stock wagers very small and briefly held until I learn how MJ stocks work.
I haven't had a chance to research many CA plays yet but my first impression is you are 100% correct. The halting is just getting started in the US as the BS hype has not stopped. It's hard to watch the .0010 US plays launch 2000% without me but I'm sure I will feel different after I watch a few more of them vaporize with no notice.
I trade daily emails with Darth Yoda from this forum and he sounds ALOT like you.
Still shopping for a few other lower pps Canadian plays before MJ season begins.
The market absolutely does get it right in the end. A real good reason to invest in pot stocks with ABTTF future and there aren't many to choose from IMO. Long time investor but new to OTC. Very thankful I didn't show up to the MJ party about March.
Definitely agree the Canadian MJ plays are superior. A LOT more substance and a lot less BS pumping than the US offerings.
I would agree with those figures for the OTC in the short-term. Nothing trumps fundamentals in the long-term.
Finally got a starter position today. This is a wild one intraday so I could have done worse than 42s. I'll be all over this one for more shares on any dip. Very few real MJ companies to choose from and this is definitely one of the IMO. This is not a short term play for me.
Warning off topic fishin post, GO UNGS!!!
New lake in Iowa that isn't near filled yet. I normally fly fish for other species but my daughter was home from college this weekend. Apparently I raised her right because all she wanted to do for her birthday was chase some panfish. :)
I have seen some of those Minnesota mobile ice fishing trailer huts. Ice fishing in a T shirt while watching the Vikings play in the middle of a lake has got to be pretty fun.
Evening PTL, it's required more patience than any of us wanted but I do think UNGS will work out fine in the not too distant future. If other non-filing tickers can run to pennies in a week on Twitter posts, I can't help but believe we will run considerably when a few more pieces of our solid plan become reality.
I took my girls out and found the crappie under a full moon tonight. If that's not a sign of good fortune for all of my endeavors then I don't know what is cuz the fishin has been OTC challenging around here lately lol.
MJX listing would be nice. Looks like there are currently a few grays that need to leave the MJ listing. That's how it works on the major exchanges anyway. Once your stock becomes irrelevant you are replaced.
A kinder gentler bashing style. Wouldn't want to post anything negative of substance in stock you will own in a few weeks. :)
I very much appreciate the efforts gwinis. As I've said before I am almost certain some of this is a work in progress for our CEO. He made an attempt at Plan B on very short notice IMO. Hard to DD what isn't complete. As outrageous as that might seem to those of us who have been here all summer, the fact is vending isn't mainstream yet. If some more established MJ company is currently pulling in significant REVs from vending I'd like to hear about it as am not aware of it.
Just because we can't figure it all out right now does not make it a scam. It simply makes it not complete today.
Getting the word out is great, but what we really need is for you to get your Grandmother to take a second mortgage out and buy some 15s lol.
Just get back in here and start posting if you want to.
