Don't you mean .01 by lunch, rather than .001?
Yes, the report was a bit late last time, but I think the company learned something from that and may not repeat it. We could get last quarter's numbers as soon as this Friday (Aug 15).
It's dumb to sell today folks. First, we are experiencing the mid-August seasonal lows because lots of people are on vacation. Next, today's washout has been a while in coming and may not be repeated. Third, we could get the numbers from last quarter (and year end) by August 15 (later this week), which is 45 days after the quarter's end -- it happened last time about April 15. Hang in there longs. In a video interview with the CEO back in Nov 2013, she noted that production at the Armenian distillery was being increased to 20,000 cases per month in anticipation of the 2014 roll-out.
I don't know what production was before that.
To keep the small bidwackers from taking us down, the Bid needs to be walked up at the same time that the Ask is rising. $MRIB
Nice buying going on for the last hour or so. $MRIB
No surprise there.
Bid sitting is not a bad thing, we just need to walk the Bid up, and slap the ask when it gets in the way.
We can turn this around right here. Buy the fear (now), sell the euphoria (comes later).
Excellent opportunity for longs to double down at these levels to reduce their average price per share. We need significant bid support and upward pressure on the Ask.
What we are seeing today is MMs trying to scare longs into selling. They reduce the spread, then walk the ask down so that they can recover shares before it shoots up again. Going long, providing bid support, and slapping the ask are key tactics to overcome this. $MRIB.
Too bad the 1 M share buy at the close was not submitted a minute or two earlier, as it would have increased the closing price. As it is, there is a lag between the time a large buy is submitted, and its execution.
Your example does not necessarily signify dilution by the company. If a seller puts in a 600,000 share order at 'all or nothing' it is not shown on Level 2 or on the Ask. Works the same way on the big boards.
Thanks CJ, excellent posts.
Tomorrow is another day. $MRIB
Time to turn this puppy around. The Dow is actually up over 90 points for the day and the NASDAQ up 15.
There is still time to put in a 10M share market order before the close. That would get things moving.
Badrudy, you may not be able to accumulate much below .0270, but you can step in front of the current bid at .0271 In the end, it won't make much difference in your share average.
You are right, shares had to be settled in the account by March 28.
After the close yesterday, Fidelity updated my account to show the 5% share distribution on MRIB shares that qualified. Of course, shares purchased after March 28 did not qualify.
A new MoneyTV show comes out late Thurday night for Friday release. The one currently showing on their site was released last Friday.
Overall market sentiment affects the penny stocks as well. On a day when everybody is running for cover (Dow down 267, Nasdaq down 129), there is no place to hide. But not to worry, MRIB held up well, and we have good news coming.
Don't be shocked. The Dow was down 267 points. MRIB hardly budged to the downside.
XSNX now above the 50-day moving average (0.0135). Go XSNX!
I'm not sure that "industry standard numbers" prevalent in So CA apply in the case of MRIB vodka, since the bottles are made in France, and they are filled by a distillery in Armenia. EU standards?
The only reason it matters is in relation to the projected revenues of Marani 2.0 given the fact that the distillery production has been set at 20,000 cases. We need to know how many of each kind of cases (12-bottle / 750 ml or 6-bottle / 1-liter) were produced.
As you mentioned, it is a fine thing that demand for the product seems to be high.
I just called the Hi Times Wine Cellars (1-800-331-3005) and they said that they only offer the 1-liter size, both on-line and in the (one and only) brick and mortar store that they have. They indicated that they could order the 750 ml size, but they thought that it would actually cost more, considering the good price that they were currently offering on the 1-liter size.
Of course, my conversation with Hi Times does not explain how they could have said earlier that there are 12-bottles in a case, since that would only seem to be likely with the 750 ml bottles (and we know that the 1-liter bottles are packed 6 to a case).
You would be exiting too soon, my friend (at 300% gain).
The only problem with High Times Wine Cellars statement is that they seem to offer only the 1-liter bottle on-line, which Taber found comes packed 6 to a case. They do not offer the 750 ml bottle on-line, which is probably packed 12 to a case. On the other hand, they may offer the 750 ml bottle in their brick and mortar store (anybody know?).
There appear to be two types of cases, one with 750 ml bottles (12 to a case) and one with 1 liter bottles (6 to a case).
That could mean that Marani 2.0 is producing both 750 ml and 1 liter bottles, with matching cases. When it is said that the distillery prduction is 20,000 cases per month, we would need a break-out of how many of each type are produced to figure out what the revenue might be.
Could it be that Marani 1.0 produced the old bottles that were 750 ml in size and were packed 12 to a case, but Marani 2.0 now uses new bottles that are 1 liter in size, and are packed 6 to a case?
It's interesting that High Time Cellars says there are 12 bottles in their cases, but Taber only had 6 bottles in his. Could there be a full cases and a half cases out there, or just some confusion about what actually exists?
Taber, how many bottles are in your case? From the picture, it looks like it might hold 6, but information elsewhere on this board indicates that a case should contain 12 bottles. This is important, since the distillery's production was recently increased to 20,000 cases per month.
My broker's platform indicates that there was a 0:1 split in MRIB shares on March 31, 2008, so the $13.80 figure you quoted from 2007 would be equivalent to $138 now.
