More news--> Electrical Safety Approval: Medizone International, Inc. (OTCQB: MZEI), the developer of AsepticSure®, a revolutionary disinfection technology that combines ozone and hydrogen peroxide to achieve unprecedented kill rates of bacteria and viral pathogens in a wide range of commercial applications including healthcare, biodefense, and public health preparedness, announced today that the Company has received full electrical safety approval for all models of AsepticSure.
The testing and approval was administered by QPS Evaluation Services, a nationally and internationally accredited independent third-party testing, certification and field evaluation body headquartered in Toronto, Canada. The approval means that AsepticSure has achieved full compliance with the applicable international safety standards which provide a baseline requirement that must be met in order to pursue marketing in all jurisdictions, including Canada, USA, South America, EU, Asia, and the Middle East. Although Medizone will be required to apply for a separate approval in each country, compliance with these international safety standards will greatly facilitate this process.
"We are very pleased to announce that AsepticSure technology has received full approval for electrical safety," said Dr. Michael Shannon, President and Director of Medical Affairs of Medizone International. "With respect to future marketing endeavors in North America, third-party certification of electrical products is mandated by law; without such certification, marketing would not be permitted. Approval of our AsepticSure system is a major step forward towards full commercialization."
The achievement of full compliance with the relevant international safety standards provides the framework for detailed manufacturing specifications that will be incorporated in the Company's expanded manufacturing plans.
About Medizone International, Inc.
Founded initially in 1986 to develop treatments for lipid-enveloped viruses, Medizone International, Inc. shifted focus in 2007 to develop a superior disinfectant technology. The company developed the AsepticSure system to combine oxidative compounds (O3 and H202) to produce a unique mixture of free radicals (H2O3 known as trioxidane) with much higher oxidative potential than ozone or hydrogen peroxide alone. After securing broad IP protection for the use of trioxidane for both healthcare facility disinfecting systems and bioterrorism applications, the company released its AsepticSure system for use in Canada, and several other global markets.

I assume this is a Gelati company: http://meditech.co.nz
Looks like AS might have had its first paying customer. If so, now that's exciting news!
“Having two rentals in my portfolio fall victim to being used as clandestine P labs in under two years was incredibly bad luck, but finding MediTech was not. After passing the habitation certification I was back on track.”

True, but only red meat will move the SP and quell the thirst of "most" old timers.
Anyone know what Guzman in Chile is up to? Did he give up? Or is he waiting on something?
Sad how KSA fell off the map. Had a lot of hope for that one. The website has been a work in progress for a long time. They can't be up to much. https://www.alhidaya.com.sa/medical/index.html
My best friend of 35 years owns a funeral home. I can't see him spending on an AS cleanup. But his workroom is well taken care of. Maybe it's different with other FH's??? This PR seemed like they just wanted to throw something out there.
I'd love to be reminded how AS works in a hospital setting, yet with fresh results. But they've been silent on this front for years.
I've given up on JP. I was only emailing him every few months. Maybe he's in the witness protection program.
That said. My fingers are crossed. Hopefully we'll have a break through at some point. I'm not selling, and I would take a chance at .08 if I had money to burn.
Years ago we used to hear about testing and results. They should still be making tests public, that is, if they are still doing them. It might bring new investors BIG and small along with media attention.
After hearing about the new Ebola outbreak this week, I remembered that nice piece Discovery Canada did many years ago! Would be nice to see AS on TV again.
Board is silent like SA, KSA, CA, USA, and Pentony...
I see news stories all the time on technology with no sales, no nothing, except for what SEEMS to be a great product.
Yet here we are, week after week, month after month, just hoping for scraps. I won't even get into the deafening silence from CA, KSA, SA, NZ, and now ___.
How pathetic this is all we have for AS in the "news." What happened to it being groundbreaking technology?
My apologies to Medizone staff if you're keeping AS flying under the radar for a super secret marketing strategy. In that case, I'll wait dutifully for an update.
John is also in charge of media relations. Hopefully at some point, some time in the not too distant future, he'll get some work in that department.
Very interesting page here: http://emapartners.com/Transactions/Life-Sciences-Healthcare
Since EPA approval, we haven't heard a peep, which is exactly the opposite of what some of the geniuses here like myself expected.
That said, maybe the pre-EPA playbook needs to get tossed. I know some would like management to go with it...
John finally got back to me. He didn't say much but his tone was peachy.
Pentony email I sent came back as undelivered. Looks like his email is relayed through his site superiorir.com, which he might have dumped.
How much longer until AS gets some NEW media coverage. AS has no pulse on Google. That's sad, given all the news coverage devoted to super bugs... When was the last time AS was used in a public demo? Was it that Discovery show?
It would be nice to see a story via a third party. Didn't Gelati say he had success with a meth-infected house. Things seem to moving along in South Am, or so we were told. This is a GYD S.A. site: http://www.grupobestway.cl
From zero, zilch, nothing-to 60 Minutes. Sounds great, but I'd love to see anything at this point with the US trials starting sometime soon, we hope, maybe ,who knows???
Btw, no disrespect Spumoni, I'm as hopeful as you. Just that the media silence has been troubling even without EPA. Hopefully the bubble will burst.

Dunno if there will be a big market, but checkout this article.

I wish there were other sources of news outside this forum and the occasional PR. AS, it seems, exists in a bubble.
After we wait once again through another holiday period, maybe it will change.
It's been ages since this Canadian Discovery Channel piece on AS:
Today we enjoy. Tomorrow it's business as usual.
EPA Approval!!! Finally!!!

AsepticSure Hospital Disinfection System Achieves EPA Approval For US Market Entry
San Francisco, California, November 21, 2016 – Medizone International, Inc. (The Company) (OTCQB: MZEI) is pleased to announce that its unprecedented hospital room disinfection technology, AsepticSure®, has been given a green light for US market entry by the United States Environmental Protection Agency (EPA).
In August, Medizone announced that Cogmedix Inc., the Company’s manufacturing partner, had obtained EPA company and establishment numbers to serve as a manufacturer for the AsepticSure System. Cogmedix already held FDA medical device manufacturing status. That EPA Registration allows Cogmedix to ship AsepticSure systems to hospitals and other users in the United States. Today, we are pleased to announce that EPA has granted a Registration number for the AsepticSure specific hydrogen peroxide catalyst used in the system. The AsepticSure Oxidative Catalyst is EPA approved for use in hospitals, clinics, food industry, sporting venues, and hotels to disinfect hard, non-porous surfaces at a 1.4% concentration.
Following the Christmas holiday period, Medizone anticipates entering into a brief trial/demonstration period in a major US hospital to confirm the disinfection results previously achieved in Canada are easily repeatable.
The Company is very optimistic that EPA approval for US market entry signals a turning point for our commercial development program as we move into 2017.`
This Press Release may contain certain forward looking statements that could involve substantial risks and uncertainties, including, but not limited to, the results of ongoing clinical studies, economic conditions, product and technology development, production efficiencies, product demand, competitive products, competitive environment, successful testing and government regulatory issues. Additional risks are identified in the company’s filings made with the Securities and Exchange Commission.

A caller on Larry Kudlow's radio show over weekend said we need more transparency in healthcare, beginning with prices on procedures to hospitals having to list the numbers of people contracting HAIs, including most importantly those that died from those infections. Larry agreed to both, then mentioned his good friend Betsy McCoy's work getting the word out on HAIs.
That said, Medizone seems totally asleep at the wheel given the lack of media and updates. I know "stuff" is supposedly going on behind the scene, but they can't tell us because "yada, yada, yada." Hope that changes soon, but dozens of investors have been saying that about MZEI for decades.
Don't worry about semantics. AS can now be tested and even sold in the US. Time for the whole gang to get to WORK and get this machine out there in use. That goes for Esposito, Caponi, and JP, too!!!
"Expanding on yesterday's SEC filing, Medizone is now able to market & sell AsepticSure as an applicator in the US effective immediately" -- From Medizone's Twitter feed.
https://twitter.com/AsepticSure
Maybe EPA wants to see AS results (and media reaction) inside US before they give final stamp of approval.
Is John still holding the fort? Must be a tough job. Hopefully some of that cash went to him.
There was speculation, if large orders came in, the company who had been manufacturing the AS machine, was interested in buying Medizone. Is that company in any way connected to Cogmedix?
Thanks,
Joe
Shouldn't we get our "regular" update in the 10k tomorrow? Or whenever they PR it.
Chad, What search did you use to find that? It doesn't come up in Google.
Thanks,
Joe
How does AS work in instances of bio-terror?
I think this link is related to that event. Translation is not so good. Bing translation might be better.

Sounds like he knows his product is a bust and he's just looking to line his pockets.
Btw, what happened to those China gen sets that he pumped up with PRs? They were sent via air and supposed to be retrofitted, which would be done relatively quickly?
I hope no one invests in Coates other than to pump and dump. Buyer beware.
They must have snuck by the paparazzi at the airport. I guess they learned from the SA trip last Labor Day.
Where did you learn they are manufacturing machines?
Thanks.
Joe_NY
As far as George announcing some big news, he seems to make things up as he goes along. It's all BS.
Some of us were fooled into thinking he had some sort relationship with Cummins. That was total BULL. So were those Chinese engines/gen sets coming over.
Given the evidence, Titan and Hulk were right about George.
I think the venue pictured on the Medizone homepage is the place where the expo was held. But no idea why they're not mentioned...

Now as far as this tidbit also mentioned on their website:
"We are now in contact with the South African Trade Commission who are working to arrange Medizone’s possible presence at the South African Health Conference, June 8-10 in Johannesburg."
I didn't see any mention of Medizone yet at that confrence. Hopefully, hopefully... they will be there in some shape or form.

Saudi distributor bought two. I don't think South Am group bought one...
I'm surprised there is no SA media online about AS. When the Medizone team first went to SA, there were a few articles. Though they basically focused on the fact that AS was not a cure for MERS, and that although the previous SA FDA Minister had okayed AS for use, the new Minister had not.
Cool. So now we know Coates just bought a Cummins gen set and tinkered with it. Many of us had hoped that there was something more, but now we know.
I know absolutely nothing as to what's going on with MZEI, but my guess is that the next update we'll hear is that the new tests have been successful, and they've resubmitted the results with the new EPA submission. Which means, another six month wait, until the EPA denies AS again. As stated, I'm just guessing.
On another note, someone overpaid today. I hope that's a sign that I'm wrong. But I have no idea.
Btw, the X-Mas present was nice, I think...
