Volume on LLLI huge today, no news. This is either just a pure gain on a pattern breakout, or something big is about to occur. 2-2.05 resistance, but it clears that level and you got a nice potential gainer.
For now I'll just watch it around this level, and see if there's follow-thru tomorrow.
OUT LLLI With 32% GAIN
LLLI really runnin now up 18% on breakout.
LLLI, nice break out of triangle
What do they use the sewing machines for?
Beachrogue Re: OPtions
I wonder if there if is enough interest in starting an Options board.
FYI. I just bought some Jan 20 call options on QLGC at 12. Deep in the money, I wanted a nice stake in the company and this was a way for me to leverage for just a small premium over current market price. I'm looking for a tech rally in Q3 and Q4.
I had been selling naked puts of late and doing very well. I'm playing the bigger companies that don't have a ton of volatility to keep the risk down, haven't been put any shares yet, for the last two months I've either been able to close my short position or the options expired. Been a nice little boost for my account. I've really gotten away from the more speculative plays, being content to make smaller gains, but offering more safety.
Thanks.
MNDO looks interesting. . Took a position along with you.
Rawnoc: What broker do you use that allows you to short BB's?
CTTY holy CRAP!
Anyone know of any good boards for Options trading?
Need to find some Asian (Japanese) stocks to look at right now. If there are any boosh candidates there, I think the Nikkei is more oversold than US markets.
Rufny? Did ERHE hit .90 on Friday? Or are the charts showing a bad print?
Call option premiums have shrinked incredibly. Could be a bullish indication.
Rufny? What happened to ERHE last Friday? Did it trade with that big of a range showing on the charts (.50 to .90)
Calls are getting cheap/
The DOW index needs to be changed! Get rid of the turds in there like GM, SBC, VZ, WMT, HPQ. Even IBM!
The DOW is a sucky index!
IBM. Well this isn't the type of play for this board, I know, but I just bought IBM at 77. I think that selling there is overdone. I'll get it sold at 85 at some point before the year is over.
ANTP? Was this one on the Doosh Board?
IBM misses. That will drag the DOW down tomorrow.
Capitualtion is COMING. Get your STASH ready!
Should get some capitualtion soon. Perhaps tomorrow.
Cash is KING right now. I am hoping to be able to see the turn. All my money is in IRA for the most part so shorting not an option for me.
Rufny. Whats goin on with ERHE. I see that Exxon has made its decision, was it the one you hoped for or did it matter?
I really hadn't been doing much trading of late, hence lack of posts. I was sitting on some BIPH and hoping that the board was going to be right. No blame to be put on anyone. It looked good to me also.
I guess the question now is do we look for a bounce or go elsewhere?
You were right Green. I'm all out too. Got to know when to fold em! This is clearly a technical failure. The setup was good we tried for it. We were wrong. We'll get the next one!
Be positive
Anyone still playin WIRX?
Theory is that as long as the uptrend remains intact, there is an 80% chance of a return to the middle of the fork.
Will the CPTC Pitchfork work?
Lat day buying coming in on CPTC...anyone know why?
CPTC broke through the Pitchfork. But wonder if this could be a double bottom. I'll give it a litte more time, but have such a small position I don't care much anymore what it does.
EP and Hidef< ABP
I played that stock last year and even though oil was going up and up and the rest of the oil sector was exploding this stock did nothing. I am not enough of an oil expert to know the reason for sure but did have a friend tell me it was because their fields are primarily in lower quality Texas fields. Has something to do with the fact that majority of the refineries in this country aren't designed to handle that type of crude, which is why we are so dependent on Saudi oil. See Harken Energy which is primarily in the same region and that stock has been dead money for years also.
But maybe the chart formation will trump! Good Luck. If you dig into this subject more, please post your findings. Just my 2 cents. Would love to uncover why GEOI is blasting off and not ABP!
MSGI. I wasn't referring to all pharma companies, just a reflection that the FDA has basically shut down new pipeline growth of drugs. Just like the Energy Dept has shut down new oil discovery over the last 25 years.
These govt agencies are shutting down the things humans need every day! Imagine where PPHM could go if they weren't tied to a tree with their research! And the oil discovery companies are tied to that same tree that they can't cut down because the environmentalists would get their sphincters in an uproar.
Pharma's getting crushed all over. OIL going through the roof. Interesting that govt agencies seem bent on shutting down both discovery of new drug therapy and discovery of new energy sources. I guess they want to keep the proletariat in misery and poor.
BIPH should at least make an attempt at a double top.
BUY BIPH NOW
I think I am dead money for the time being!
Keep searching I guess. I haven't found too many charts I like right now. and I am too fearful to take a sizable position on BIPH given its run. So I'll sit for a bit.
Sorry EP on CMCO. Hope you got out. I just got stopped out 13.35. I litteraly went to get a cup of coffee came back saw I was out and now see the price below 13. Strange, maybe due to the weakness in CAT from yesterday
Was reading a few Messages on the Raging Bull BIPH board and remembered quickly why I don't use that site.
Here are my CMCO price Targets:
$15.24 = Target 1
$16.47 = Target 2
$18.00 = Target 3
$20.47 = Target 4
This assumes a close above 14 has occured. I really thought we would get that today but the general stinkiness of the market ended the rally.
FWIW, I ran my "proprietary formula" on BIPH and came up with Target 4 being $3.48. I've only just started using this formulae which I have been tinkering with variants for some time now. The one thing it does not consider is time. Time will tell whether I put any credence into this method or whether I throw it out along with the many other ideas I've had!
