That's not really a fluff PR, it's what a company does in it's normal course of business, true it doesn't really drive share price either way, but it's a natural expectation and they are announcing a chance for a meet and greet with a well known public figure and tech legend. I'm guessing you won't be taking advantage of the opportunity, but I'm sure plenty will. I for one appreciate your input, banter, postulation and predictions, but at some point it becomes petty and trite.
FDA approval or the infamous CRL's have not been kind to most Bio's lately. The CRL's have unleashed huge sell offs , and even FDA approvals have only produced minimal gains... The news, the promise, the rumors throughout the PDUFA process generate most of the gains and it appears usually the approval is already built into the price upon announcement... The run up in the days prior to the announcement are the best case scenario... So when they get approval there isn't much room to climb, but if they get a CRL, timberrrrrr.... There are always exceptions but for the most part that's how it seems to play out
Well, finally a positive day for NAVB, but if history tells us anything about this stock this will be a one day run and will retrace this gain back down...
Well this was a great day on high volume ... Charts were screaming break upwards... But has traded sideways for awhile...
To be determined ... You can't say that yet ... Just like I can't say someone who is shorting is a winner ... Only the future will tell ... Those that bought at today's HOD may hold a butt load already and are still averaged way below the PPS... You just don't know lol... But both sides have been saying the other is screwed and quite frankly both have been wrong and right ... But the pattern has been so forgiving ... That can't be denied ...
Everyone's a winner ... Unless you panicked either going up or down ... as I said earlier, regardless of which side you are on MGT has been so forgiving... Easy to make great money on... Slow steady drops and rises, lighting fast gains and losses ... It's all about timing and if you take your profits you will be fine ...get greedy either way and you may get burned ... But seriously this has been a patterned performance for a long time now ...
Ultimately, let's all be honest ... The reason most of us initially bought into MGT back under .50, and the reason this stock took off was because of a "name drop" PR ... And what he brings to the table... Everything they have done seems to be synergistic... Whether a person believes it all or not at least it makes sense ...
Whether an investor/gambler/flipper/shorter MGT has provided opportunity for everyone to make profit ... Meteoric rises and falls, slow steady gains and declines, stable days to accumulate, and the beauty of it has been that if you missed an opportunity, so far it has presented itself again. The only ones who should have suffered were those that bought $5plus and panicked ... And if you are still holding some of those shares it may ultimately not turn out to be that bad of an entry point ...
The process and PRs have been methodical and synergistic ... They make sense ... If I see Hillary come on board ... I'm out !!!
I'm a retired Air Force contracting officer... On any government/military contract during the RFP (Request for Proposal) phase the bidder must provide all principals that will be involved in fulfilling the contract. Their resumes, credentials, clearances will be included along with amount of hours that they will contribute and the cost per those man hours. Although a company wins the contract ultimately, the contracting officer will gauge their ability to fulfill the obligations outlined and determine the biggest "bang for the buck". Thats why company's hire "big names" so they can use them to be awarded DoD & Govt contracts. No one wins a contract and then puts the team in place ... The team must exist prior... And often times heavy hitters are hired contingent upon the contract being awarded to their firm ...
Where's the big news Rick? Lol
A weather man can say it's going to snow everyday and be right eventually lol ... Saying its going to run is nothing special ... When you say it everyday it's pumping,
If you get lucky and something goes up , you claim i told you guys so like you have some technical expertise ....What about everyday your wrong ... And when like Rick does you Name a date and time it makes you look really desperate...
It's called pumping and we get it ...
And if it never rises then what Lol you just say "guess I was wrong "
Wow...its exploding can barely keep up with the action
Why Rick? According to you that was going to be done... Yesterday and this morning time specific claims... Can you say PUMP?
...tic tic tic wouldn't exactly call this running
Where is the proof of the contracts...all the news?
Sorry, just got to the computer and saw my account blow up....where is the contract news posted?
The CEO himself said they were disappointed...not much SPIN about that LOL
Spot On! Every penny stock on here makes money. I'm no different than anyone else, I win some, I lose some. I lost some on this TURD.
Wow...really? It's like your all surprised....Fireopal and I have tried pointing out all the blown up hype on here, but you all get offended...bottom line keep the BOLD TYPE on all those Contracts....the CEO himself said it...defense spending is down....Hello Everyone (This is why no one "KNOWS" about this highly undervalued stock) KSCHLEG better baseball analogy...OPXS is the .370 AAA player we call up entering the series because we have an injured starter, and he always is up when the situation is the most critical, and he takes the collar. You can't really get mad at him, he's good in the minors, but just not able to cut it in "the bigs"
Agreed, you have been onboard with that! We all are looking for OPXS to excel, and I think most in here are "long", if you look at the volumes, shorts etc. you see that, so we all want the same thing...we all just interpret the financials, the companies moves or lack of moves, news of lack of news etc. in different ways. No personal bashing, respect others views, and we may actually learn something from a differing opinion. Kschleg...I thought at first we may have differing opinions, but the more I have watched and read I think we actually are more aligned than I thought. Bottom line, when OPXS was surging everyone was happy...churning in the mire right now people get a little cranky...who knew LOL.
correct me if I'm wrong but technically a flip is changing from a "more long term position to a more short position" or vice versa...based on the theory you believe your current position isn't working or isn't appropriate going forward....don't confuse flip with "day trading"
Amen Tyke! Everyone flips at some point....whether its same day, week, month, quarter, year, 5 years...
But bottom line, penny stocks don't generally move on value...they move on news, financials, etc., and usually it's quickly, not a slow progressive hike....if we see this rise from where it is now to $1 at some point its going to be a rocket, not a slow train To get some movement at this point there needs to be a catalyst...not just people stumbling upon OPXS on their website or on here and saying wow...this is severely undervalued, I'd better get in today....come back tomorrow, you'll have the same opportunity.
WOW...I was chastised for making those same comments over the past few weeks(and I obviously stopped)...and oddly enough, OPXS hasn't really moved at all in that entire period...a little hiccup here and there...
ILST from about .0013 to ..0043 in the same time period we have had this huge dropoff and sat bouncing between .0008 and .0009 day in day out...Mike may be a great guy but apparently he can only shepherd one of his ventures at a time...
Your actually making my point better than I did...EXACTLY!!!PPS is everything!!! Revenue, contracts etc. mean absolutely nothing to the investor unless it changes the PPS! OPXS is making money, but they don't care about their investors. 27 years in business, 5 years held by the public,...anybody get a warm fuzzy feeling from their investor relations section on the website? Anyone attend a shareholders meeting? Anyone hear anything or see anything from OPXS other than required SEC docs? Someone stated in another DD sticky at the top "They don't start their day with a meeting worrying about what can they do for their shareholders" paraphrased here by me. Of course not, cause they don't worry about stockholders.
Check out the MEGA DD POST in the stickies:
17,070,000 2013 Rev's

157,346,607 Outstanding
Pay Down Debt * $500k short term * $1.3m long term
I didn't post this information...but look at it! $94M in contracts 09-12 (where is that value today?) $23M + per year and then we see $2.1M in 2013, and now 2014's numbers... I guess dropping from .47 a share to trips during a $23M a year for four year time period would look attractive to todays buyers... Chuckie...don't get yourself worked up...cause this definitely is no SIRI, or FORD, I'm glad you picked a few of the unique examples that defy logic to support your comments.
FORD? SIRI?...oh my, you think you have found that here? Wow. So your analysis is based on a wish and a dream? Everyone always says that when they think they found the next undiscovered golden ticket! That's why the stock market works! Some buy dreams, others are willing to sell them!
Still waiting to see new financials...lets see, last report Net Operating Loss, and Negative Net Income...27 year old company, worth so much on paper, hmmmm? Doesn't add up....
Numbers mean nothing to me unless they convert to PPS...some of the most profitable companies out there are terrible investments, and some of the best investments are terrible companies...I trade for money not empty numbers! This company was at .47 a ways back, ask yourself how you were able to buy it (hopefully, when it was in the trips)at such a low price....hmmmmm?
what is that? Like $1500 in buy, less than $5k total...NO DEMAND!
Undervalued, overvalued, overbought, oversold, RSI, whatever you want to use...they are just guidelines....just like a Saturday morning auction at Ned and Ethel's something is only worth what someone is willing to pay for it...we all know we aren't buying or selling the actual value of a company, it's all driven by simple supply and demand, and right now there is no demand...
Well, OPXS P/E is showing what the market is showing...it's overpriced and its dropping, earnings and revenue are not impacting shareholder equity, so you can use whatever number you like
but OPXS P/E is over 36...
What happened? Guess I didn't see all that. I'm really just having a hard time seeing where company revenue, profits, contracts are doing anything for the PPS...and honestly if they don't affect it then they really are just fluff.
I'm long, but getting frustrated....it just really seems that none of the good information or numbers that they report really translate to any value increase in PPS.
Depressing!!! There is nothing on the charts or financially to project any turnaround. And, if you notice the board got really quiet over the weekend and today. Hmmmmmmm? Someboy quick throw up some old contract dollar numbers, save us!!!
Anyone joined the Rosen class action?
OPXS sounds good on paper by some of the numbers, but look at the PE ratio and you will question some of those other numbers. And as far as PR, look at:
http://newsletter.hotstocked.com/stocks/view/OPXS-Optex-Systems-Holdings,-Inc
They have done their share of promotions, including as recent as 24 January 2014...amazingly coincidental when OPXS took off to this level
Again all the hype here isn't matching the interest shown OPXS... No Volume...no churning, no accumulating not good
somebody knows something!!! strong all day and end of day push!
