Great research Debbie!! I never thought of them being different companies. What are the chances of that? That is one heck of a coincidence.
Was anybody else aware that Prime Focus has been spending money to promote Medient? Found this during a routine Google search for new information.

Sometimes this works out. Sometimes it doesn't. Depends on the situation.
Or 75% of the way to $2B shares.
DP,
You keep speaking of .19 and .35 as key price points. Care to elaborate on how you derived those numbers? Or are they simply sell points relative to your base? I have been reading this board for 5-6 months, and have seen you mention these numbers on numerous occasions. Thanks!!
I have considered averaging down at these ultra low prices, but I just can't convince myself that I would not be throwing good money after bad. I currently hold a large bag at an average of .014. Not too happy with how things have played out. CEO has not been entirely honest and forthcoming on state of business. Stock continues to tank because of enormous dilution. Can't say I have ever witnessed such a huge dump of shares in such a short period of time. Yes, I can see the future potential. But I also see the risks associated with getting there. I will not invest another dollar until this stock stabilizes and shows a clear move upward with serious building progress on phase 1. This may turn out to be the 2nd largest tax write off next to my dot com bubble days if things don't turn around before tax selling time comes along. I am convinced if it's not happening by December, it's not happening at all.
I guess it depends on whether he is spending your money or mine!! Never said eating fast food or staying in motel 8, but there should be some realistic spending controls in place to show investors he is spending our money wisely and continuing to add value. Extravagant hotels and eating with the rich and famous is not wise spending. Plenty of better things to spend that money on.
My guess is that the money is going toward travel expenses for the recent world tour and film festival. Staying in those $1000 per night hotels and attending those $500 per head meals adds up fast; especially if you are paying your travel companions way as well. It will probably show up on the next report under operations expenses or something similar.
How do you know that their involvement is nothing more than casual name dropping to gain investors interest?
No matter the news, the share price will remain down until they turn off the fire hose of shares that continue pouring into the market. More news equals more new shares sold.
I still remember telling myself this very same thing as I continued to average down on Kmart stock many years ago. I eventually lost my shirt on that one. Different company with highly different circumstances, but I learned that sometimes you need to limit your exposure to high risk investments; especially as you are chasing a falling knife. Sometimes.....enough is enough and it's time to sit back and let the cards fall where they may.
Asphalt will probably not be laid until the studioplex is nearly finished. The initial roads will probably be subgrade materials (packed limestone and gravel) to support large equipment traffic. Large equipment will destroy new asphalt roads in a hurry.
I think it was a bit odd that there was no conference call for the recent 10Q. Isn't this a slap in the face to investors? Probably did not want to address the tough questions that would be asked. I know I have quite a few questions I would like answers to right about now.
The recent cleaning / deleting of twitter messages tells me that this may have already crossed his mind. Or he has been warned by legal council. Perhaps all part of "the plan".
The way I see it playing out is all of the millionaire club will eventually turn into the thousands club after the 1000:1 reverse split. When the stock finally hits $1 per share, everybody's 10s of thousands of invested dollars will only be worth a couple thousand. At least that's how I am currently feeling about my holdings right now. This could turn into one hell of a tax deduction for this year if things don't turn around soon.
Another day of beating down the stock. I think end of trading yesterday was a setup for this morning. Brought in a lot of early buyers with hope that the dilution was over. Probably going to see more of these in the coming weeks.
Not sure I can handle any more great news. It seems on every news release, we have a huge dump of shares and the SP goes down 10-20%. I am under water a significant amount here, and refuse to throw and more good money toward this investment until I see some stability and a significant move upward.
Serious change in tune there Doc. I have a feeling this world tour that Manu is on is a fund raising trip. If he comes back empty handed, this could get even uglier. I am wondering if we are going to see a PR with regards to the outcome of the trip. Was there ever any comments from Manu regarding his trip agenda during the CC?
Or "Weed Fills The GAP"
One deep hairy gap that was hit by a buzz saw yesterday.
Or diluting until the stock price reaches .007 again.
Best laugh I have had today. Thanks!!
I listen to JORN as well. Love the DIO tribute album. Wish I had an opportunity to see DIO before he passed. Maybe JORN will tour the U.S. some day.
Somebody struck a nerve I see. No need to get nasty about it.
Like throwing money up a wild hogs ass.
I agree with this. Something is only worth what people are willing to pay for it. Nothing more. It's not the company's fault that investors inflated the share price. A company is valued based on assets, liabilities and revenue potential. Good post here!!
What I think you fail to realize, is that this deal has been under negotiation for at least the past year. Don't you think that any person with good business sense would know the liabilities and have negotiated a plan for those liabilities before purchasing a company. You act like this was some kind of blind purchase. I am confident that APRU was determined to have some fair value based on assets and liabilities. I can't see this deal going South now that interim management has been put in place, products already in the process of being relabeled, SEC filings in the process of being brought to current status, etc. I see a long term business plan that is beginning to take shape in a multi billion dollar industry. As more people continue to work longer hours and longer weeks, energy and health supplement demands will continue to increase.
Yeah. My 240k got filled at .0112. Nice!!
As of today, Scottrade still shows sell only. No buy.
Very good possibility:
I had no problems buying early this morning via scottrade.
Ihub trades show it as a sell.
Awfully quiet after the conference. Anybody have a summary or bullet points for shareholders that could not participate?
I dropped this turd like a hot potato this morning after watching the latest Mr. Hankey episode, staring Bo. I'm nice and clean now, after taking a bath on this one.
I am about ready to drop a big brown pellet if this thing does not start moving.
It certainly does not provide confidence that they are busy answering potential customer calls either.
Answering machine on the first ring during normal business hours. Not good!!
I guess my primary point was that if the equipment costs more to operate than the competitions equipment, and the margins are rather slim, it may be difficult to compete in the market place. Not all equipment is created equally. Costs associated with manning the equipment (how many operators are necessary versus how many automated processes), maintaining the equipment (consumable comparisons), how much energy per unit of pellets is required (aka energy bill), and the list goes on. All of these items factor into the pellet price; regardless of whether they are wood or refuse pellets. In a highly competitive industry with slim margins, old equipment can be a losing battle. Not saying that is the case here. A highly detailed cost analysis by an industry expert would be mandatory before making such an acquisition.
Looks like it was auctioned middle of last year. Wonder why it went up for auction. Old antiquated equipment? Non competitive due to low efficiencies? I'm not close enough to the industry to know.
Doing some more DD, I picked-up on something that is a little concerning. If you read the following article, it clearly states the contractor that has been awarded the project is BL Harbert in B'ham, AL. This was announced in August 2013.
http://savannahnow.com/effingham-now/2013-08-29/medient-breaks-ground-movie-studios#.Uv-GU4WGjn9
If you visit BL Harbert's website, you will notice that they appear to be very good at updating their website with new projects / awards. I do not see the Medient Studios project mentioned anywhere on their website; even in the news archives. A project of this magnitude should have been a front page topic, I would have thought. Has something changed with the selection of the contractor?
