I don't see a technical reason nor a massive hype going on with this vote. I agree that there may be a muted response. The counter argument is, just how many "funds" have been waiting for the vote. Just how many large names will start covering the sector like BMO recently has.
There is also the international side, what is happening in Germany? Does anyone know?
Many of us here have. I suspect this is why we are riding very comfortably while we watch the market grow.
It's all about hitting those Micro/Macro milestones for us early days folk. Looking at things like:
*Institution investors
*Canopy Enters U.S.
*Eurozone Growth
*South Africa Growth
*South America Growth
Canopy Ownership
I'm looking for growth here as I consider my standing.
We are close to 5% now. A few months ago we were under 3%.
I want to see 10% soon after legislation passes. For comparison purposes - TSLA ownership
Near 64%
I want those numbers over time.
Looks like in the cards. I wonder if we get a sell the news event that matters. Meaning, yeah we get profit taking but the fact that institutions are loading up now, how long will that last?
They will likely feel pain just like last Oct->Jan
I have a rule that I never buy IPO. I wait a few weeks. Not gonna break it for Rivers but gosh darn do I feel tempted.
In the 80's alot of us OG investors will not have to report to a job ever again. If we're smart about what we do with the million plus. lol
I'll spend that extra .75c per week on FRESH OJ.
I know some of you recall I try to keep to myself PPS targets. Ultimately it's a crystal ball call. I felt BMO's research validated my personal long term thesis from when I invested my first 20k here. From the days I called this a high risk investment and was teased (in a fun way) about it. They gave Canopy a conservative target of $45 and we all know what easily happens on a hot sector. So yeah, I feel pretty comfortable we will get to 80s in next run. Unless some geo-political madness happens that kills markets. It can happen of-course, I just don't think the bull run is done. Historically summers cool off markets and create a consolidation/flat period. I think new record highs will come broadly.
I suspect that we will stay flat/equilibrium/consolidation into June 7th vote. Vote will give us a bump and get us moving up. Then as we enter official start date of rec we will see the next big run which if they follow like the last 3 would bring us to 80s. Last run I suspected 30s but we ended peaked at 44 but closing in high 30s. Same thing may happen.
But the newbie said it was was. Must make it true.
I love having pre/post market data now. YAY NYSE!
My shares already transferred and it was trade-able yesterday.
Bruce is so deep in making all of this happen. Bill Gates of Cannabis.
The Canadians are failing us today.
I really like what I see in TWMJF today. Great volume, broke resistance higher, and now trying to build support. Watching those MACD crosses intraday.
I want my next 1000% gain from Canopy. lol
With the music NO CHANCE IS WHAT THEY GOT!
For me less about PPS and more about entering U.S.
Friends whom have shared this ride with me since day one.
Remember when we used to talk about the day we listed in NYSE? Well, that day is almost here. Thanks for taking this wonderful ride together. From 1s,2s,3s, to now 30s and the ride isn't nearly over yet.
So happy for those of us who made it this far.
See in my head I think.
1 part cannabis infusion - 2/3 parts Lagavulin Scotch 16 year.
Skywalker is sooooo nice.
I saw Lewis Black in Asheville TN a few weeks ago. I randomly ended up there while on my road trip to my brothers and saw he was performing a block from my hotel.
Making those one sides bias charts on MSPaint sure does take alot of time.
Fascinating - tell me about the multi-billion dollar companies you've built from the ground up.
When TSLA reached 700 million in sales annually it's market cap reached upwards 40 billion. It kept going up from there. WEED is reaching that level of cult following status and is making all the right moves to become the most recognized brand name.
Imagine where it will go once operations ramp out outside of Canada.
Keep the news and hard work up Bruce. Global domination in the making.
The site has a new look. https://www.canopygrowth.com/innovation/
It's really nice and informative.
I'm waiting to see how the big banks start acting once rec legalization is signed into law. I suspect banks like Bank of Montreal to start covering Canopy.
Isn't that about 115 million in inventory at 7 a gram? Yeah, I see a shortage when rec goes on sale.
Listen to last Q call. He mentioned it.
I'm stupid excited that Bruce is seeking NASDAQ. I get to play option on WEED now! We will see a big push with institutional U.S. money as well. All really great for bulls.
Thank you so very much for sharing all your DD and hard work.
Just starting I'm sure. Once we get some successful news.
Yeah when I heard Bruce mention that IPO I got tingles of joy. Especially because he said RIVERS is cashflow positive.
Canopy Health is part of the Canopy umbrella. You may be referring to Rivers.
AWESOME FIND!
If I lived in Canada I would be applying to any job at Canopy and work my way up.
I'd love to get in. Not because I have to, but because I want too.
I have a great career now but I love the excitement of fast growth companies. Maybe when they enter the U.S. I'll get a chance. Bruce accepted my LinkedIn connection years ago so...crossing fingers that fruits to an opportunity years down the road given the right nurturing.
Guess that opinion just changed. The IIROC and halt did it's job. Orderly market action.
