Thank you. I learned something today about "short selling against the box". There had been about 800,000 steady shares short for a long time, even when shares were below $1. Hence, while it is certainly a possibility, a rational investor would close that short by now. They would have benefited from the big drop in prices we have seen, say in 20 cents times, and still keep their longs for future gains. I guess you are right that the next reporting is the key.

Among many other nonsense he contributed to over the years. His strategy is to pretend at certain times to be one of the shareholders and slowly try to erode confidence of others by injecting doubts without any data. So, best to ignore him. He is definitely not my Syncora expert. Luckily, there are great people here with amazing knowledge on the topic.

I tried to post short interest data couple of times and I failed. Anyway, you can check it out yourself; there is no short covering (still ~880K shares) up to Jan 31st. So, there is still a lot more gasoline in the can to pour into the fire.
