I don't think Poptech needs my defense, but LM responded in an email to a member of this board in January that they're working on self-sufficiency, therewith clearly saying they're not SS yet. Today another ihubber posted a response by LM that states she can't say anything and we should wait for the 10K. Something's not right here.
I also believe they're turning this boat around as we rant, though.
Are you kidding me? So did they get back to you or what? TIA
Yes, that's why the pps is going down the drain, driving down the debt clock as well, though. I wonder how much YA can convert and what will happen after that. It is very frustrating to have nothing to rely on but quarterly reports in a situation like this.
We should have weekly updates on YA's conversion and Neomedia's debt. After all we've been through we deserve at least this. I'm thinking of an old-fashioned RPG level-up bar :)
Sounds great. So, knowing she wasn't going to be able to make any further comments, the comment in the Q about SS on New Year's was pure sadism or a bad joke or what? What does she mean with filing date? The deadline? Thanks for "planning" the release, Ms. Marriott. Thank you very much! That even leaves room for Risk's speculation about no 10K at all. LOL!!!!!!!!!
It's nearly impossible to for her to "perform" pps-wise at this point and that's not my accusation. I blame her for luring shareholders deeper and deeper into this crevice of a company without being as transparent as possible. Neomedia is in a very special situation and it demands special communication.
Absolutely. LM MUST comment on this abattoir of a chart. At this point nothing can hurt us anyway (let alone the pps!!). The missus has got to be one hell of a hard-ass to have gotten this job because her soft skills are non-existent.
Poptech, is there any legal way YA could be swapping shares for cash under the table with deep pockets (e.g. Soon-Shiong) at a certain price? This volume makes no sense to non-insiders.
Good observation. The desperation of many here (particularly me) is pathetic. So Neomedia is most likely having problems with their software and it takes them days to fix it. Unbelievable.
Someone should try another scanner. If this is an exclusive feature of Neorader then Amazon's confidence is a great tell. And I hope they PAY for that.
Yeah and they're worth a front row seat at a Lakers game right now. Throw in the weekly bill for his wife's manicurist and his lawyers would probably do the transfer filings for you.
Seriously, though, I hope the Doc is still engaged and continues to buy.
That really sounds like something is in the works.
Lol. Thanks. Another rumor I got hooked on. As usual I appreciate your frankness. Any upside to this?
Excellent. Lol. Have you been to China? As soon as the Chinese are told that QR codes are cool (not a very difficult thing to do, believe me) the QR market will explode. They will put QR codes on everything and its grandmother. They will probably figure out a way to turn their characters into codes and then everyone will go insane. I wish Neomedia could somehow cash in on this.
Conversions will have to stop soon anyways because YA will hit the 2.5B shares ceiling. And then it's time for Santa Claus and a nice surprise. I'd be glad to hear ideas on what YA's next step will most likely be (other than R/S and debt default). POPTECH?!
Is that a good sign? Sounds more like a software bug. POPTECH?!
MOOONEY, I WANT MY MOOONEY!!!! I NEED 10000% TO BREAK EVEN!!!! WHAT DA FUQ ARE THEY DOING KEEPING THEIR MOUTHS SHUT!!!!! TELL US WHAT'S HAPPENING WITH THIS PIECE OF %&/$($ YOU DOGGONE A"$"·/&%/!!!!!!
AHHHHHHHH!!!!!!!
Rusty: Why do this?
Danny: Why not do it?
[Rusty shakes his head]
Danny: Cause yesterday I walked out of the joint after losing four years of my life and you're cold-decking "Teen Beat" cover boys.
[pause]
Danny: Cause the house always wins. Play long enough, you never change the stakes. The house takes you. Unless, when that perfect hand comes along, you bet and you bet big, then you take the house.

Dig up the post where he predicts Neomedia won't issue a 10K.
This has been going on for a very long time as far as I know. All this will stop once YA and their "infinite" supply are gone imo.

Lol! Same old, sams old, I see. I hope we'll have some news next week.
I appreciate your sense of humor. Personally I consider .0016 an outrage. Your nick says everything there is to know about me and this stock. SOMEBODY DO SOMETHING!!!!!
Lol! Wish I could stop by here more often but then I'd run out of Xanax. Read you all next week.
I hope you're right. That'd be the best of all signs imo.
Why the volume? Anyone? TIA
Poptech, Volvo was swallowed by the Chinese. Just curious, do you know about a Chinese company that is working on QR technology? Maybe one that is traded publicly :) TIA
That's not the point. CEOs that talk about the future of a company better live up to their speculations. On top of that Neomedia is in a very special situation because shareholders actually pay down the debt. One major motive therefore is to get shareholders to buy shares. Personally I can't find a single angle from which to intellectualize her silence. It just sucks.
I can't take this anymore. I'll check back in February. Hopefully we'll know more by then.
She specifically mentions Apple and Passbook. Hope there's something in the pipeline.
Lol! Thanks for finally admitting what brings you here. Craziest post in a long time. Since you're herewith saying that Neomedia was SS in 2011 I wonder where all your pessimism is coming from. See you in Vegas.
Here is the post I was refering to. Thanks to Buck4Buckeyes (better than anything John Grisham's ever written imo :)). Read at your own risk.
Thank you very much. It's actually the first time I read this. Very interesting.
I have no idea what he's doing and am not saying anything. Poptech's point about the patents pretty much being fair game leaves us with a bifurcated (lol) situation: he either represents a bigger version of you and me (that's his official statement) or he's interested in unconditionally swallowing everything that Neomedia is.
In the latter case the price is the one thing that doesn't matter. A beneficial ownership would make sense because it allows him a very close look at the company. I know that's a pretty outrageous speculation but fact is he's done it before (on the weekend I will try to find that post I mentioned - impressed the hell out of i-hubbers a year ago). Fact is also he's been working with and on Nantworks for a decade and won't let anything get between him and his vision. Add to that the way he bought and you understand why I don't completely trust his filings.
Btw, do we know for a fact that SS is still invested (because someone sold like crazy pre-christmas)?
Again: I don't know. I don't know what it means that Laura has the patents for sale. Doesn't that mean she wants to close shop? Isn't that all that Neomedia is? I can imagine that a bet on Neomedia's bankruptcy by Soon-Shiong has advantages unavailable to him at this moment, but here again: I don't know.
I more and more get the feeling that there was some kind of "financial" red line that Neomedia crossed last march that triggered Soon-Shiong's (SS) investment. There is an excellent analysis by an i-hub member (posted here about a month after SS got in I think) which clearly states at least one example of a company where SS waited until it went belly up to get what he wanted.
Nevertheless, I hope you are right with believing in his legal statement.
He never said that. Thank you for the link, though; imo makes it pretty clear that Soon-Shiong is more than just an "investor" in Neomedia, even if he likes to call himself that. I wonder if he's considering picking up the pieces after the summer. I personally find it quite sadistic for a man with a 7 billion dollar wallet to watch little Neom wriggling in its puddle of debt -- HELP!
I think Neomedia and YA know that the time for Convertible Debentures (CD) is over and therefore have already put a (rather long term, I admit) end to the "death spiral". We're "dead" as long as 30+ million are owed to YA, after that it's resurrection time.
We will never see another CD agreement again (imo) even if Neomedia is able to renegotiate the maturity date. Investors on both sides (Neomedia's SH as well as YA's investors) are sick and tired of it. This forces both parties to get more creative or make some actual money. I think it will be a combination of both until the end of spring. I wouldn't be surprised to see another bridge loan in the next 10Q.
What makes me angry is that if Neomedia and YA hadn't so carelessly thrown around CDs in the past we would already have a completely different company on our hands. Now that the going gets tough it's suddenly possible to cut back and get financed by bridge loans. Imo it was absolutely possible to avoid this situation. Oh, well...
