JJ, count me among those grateful to you for your info. Please let us know if GOOG will have any further delaying tactic other than an appeal to the Supremes when they lose in the CAFC. IMO the Supremes would quickly laugh such anappeal off.
TIA
rampuntzel What further appeals does GOOG have if they lose at the CAFC. IMO only to the Supremes who will laugh it off relatiely quickly. Will some trial lawyer correct me if I'm wrong. TIA
Keep the faith! IMO good things will happen soon. Because it's enjoined in key jurisdictions ZTE must settle. GOOG will lose the appeal andthe decsion coul come this or mext month. . VRNG migh already be worth more than it's current price due to settlements already in hand with figures not yet announced.
IMO big bucks are already in hand from the two settlements and Goog's chance of reversing the trial court are nil. The new suit that will be filed against GOOG sweetens an alredy big pot. Sorry I can't give you a figure but right now, IMO VRING is worth at least a couple of bucks more and after it's victory agianst GOOG's appeal will be worth a lot more.
Huge potential againstGoogle of patent Vringo acquired from Microsoft
Check Google News or otherwise search for the story about Vringo's acquisition from Microsoft of a patent that is very important to Google"s future plans. A brief excerpt from Google News:
By assigning US Patent #6556983 Microsoft empowered Vringo for one purpose, litigate Google.

Question for the shorts
Please give us your view on GOOG's chances of winning the appeal but, also supply your reason(s)
TIA.
The warrant have more bank for the buck. Monday assume vrng p;rice is $4.00 and warrant price is $2. Compare warrant profitability vs. share profitability.
Assume vrng goes to $20. Profit on the Share is $20 less cost of the share or $16.. Profit on the warrants is $40 less $10, less cost of the warrants ($4) or $26.
IMO the only problem with the warrants is their June 2015 expiration. IMO GOOG cannot drag out the appeal that long and they cannot win on appeal. If this belief is erroneous, the warrants could be a worse deal than the stock.
IMO vrng stock is a fine long term holding.
Vringo warrants expire 6/21/15 with an exercise price of $5.06 per share.
I assume if there is a settlement with GOOG the warrants will somehow be accommodated but at any rate the warrants follow VRNG's price. (VRNG price minus $5.06 equals value of a warrant.)
If the above is correct and one is very bullish (as I am) the wrrants offer more leverage. Can get about two warrants for the price of one share. Any share price rise above$5.00 plus the cost of the warrant results in the warrants yielding more than the share.
Comments anyone??
Thanks. I may be too optimistic of course but the judge has had time galore to prepare the RR ruling and I can't imagine him not already having given the issue much thought -FWIW
Issuing the RR opinion could light a settlement fire under GOOG
JJ I want to join the we appreciate JJSeabrook chorus. Do you think the absence of a ruling on RR equals settlement talks still ongoing? Thanks in Advance.
Does anyone know if an appeal would involve a jury? I think appeals are before judges only. If so the judges would have to find reversable error regarding he work around and it is very doubtful that they would.
I think the only real remaining issue is the RR. Also GOOG could lose the laches and the math error on appeal.
We've had lots of high volume days. It's obvious to me that the buying is by the Tutes because the scared little guys have been bamboozeld out of the stock by the rafts of negative publicity and postings by shorts. See for example the Vring board on Yahoo Finance. The selling is phony and the SEC no longer does manipulation.
Great Buying opportunity
IMO ZTE is behind the 8 ball in Germany and India and will want to make a global settlement. They've stated they would pay FRAND and the settlement will probably involve more. The GOOG judge will get off his duff one of these days and as we know, that will involve a huge payout to VRNG with or without a GOOG work around which IMO is so much smoke. Shorts could panic at the whiff of settlement talks. Right now the short position equals 19 days to cover. The shorts know all this and are not dumb. IMO they are not genuine shorts but part of a scheme by the hedgies and dark pools to get VRNG cheaper.
ZTE posted a bond in India which permits them to keep selling. The Court set a relatively short trial calendar. From memory 6 months
Vringo has now won suits in the US India and Germany. It has also filed in France, Spain, Australia China and the UK. there is no indication that it will lose on any of these, although Google may stretch the proceedings out. IMO Vringo will go up as the verdicts come in.
Someone please tell us how to get to the messages on Vringo Free Forum.
Thanks in advance.
If anyone can tell us when we can expect resolution of the ZTE India case please tell us.
Today's downturn
Arena Pharmaceuticals logo Arena Pharmaceuticals (NASDAQ:ARNA) EVP Dominic Behan sold 200,000 shares of Arena Pharmaceuticals stock in a transaction dated Tuesday, September 10th. The shares were sold at an average price of $6.31
Thanks Mike.
The VRNG warrants briefly were quoted at being$.34 cents higher. Some one bought 3000 shares around the opening but the current price, I believe is lower. I think the buyer of the 3000 shares was convinced MSFT would make a tender offer for VRNG or purchase it otherwise. Just guessing!
Thanks JJ I appreciate your insight
An appeal without a final judge's verdict below IMO is hard to imagine. What would GOOG say it is appealing from? I suppose on each issue they could simply state their position on each issue, but would the appellate court summarily dismiss the appeal?
Could part of VRNG's MSFT settlement game be t make VRNG look more like an operating company and therefore strengthen it's it's ability t get injunctions? If Goog's work around is BS (and it may not be) perhaps VRNG has a better injunction stance against GOOG??
Yahoo Finance posters state tht SRPT's Etiplirsen was featured on today's Good Morning America. Should help the stock even though SRPT was not named.
I like the warrants which in effect are a call that expire in June, 2015, with an exercise price of $5.06. If at that time VRNG stock price is $5.06 plus what you paid for the warrant, you're ahead. I think they can be exercised at any time and of course until they expire, their price will fluctuate with VRNGG's stock price.
Thanks arper
Is anyone else not able to get Yahoo Finance??
TIA
More on Google's work around. I don't know enough about the subject matter to evaluate the issue.
Go to the Yahoo board and see the chain under the heading:

IMPORTANT Adwords - Redesign or implementation
Someone on the Yahoo board picked up the very good point that GOOG does NOT say the workaround has been implemented. kThey only say it's been designed. If that's the case, it's irrelevant. I'm sure VRNG's lawyers are smart enough to pick up on this.
whateva, If Seventh Amendment ends GOOG's patent arguments, why is it sad - or do I misconstrue your message?
Doesn't the 7th Amendment end this work around nonsense??
Your post could be believable if it had some reasoning about what is wrong with the article. Article looks persuasavie IMO
Yahoo Finance is one source. Go to Yahoo Finance website, enter stock symbol and on right side is long list of available info which includes Major Holders. I think it is for the company's last quarter, so it may not be up to date.

At year's end, a total of 16 of the hedge funds we track were long in this stock, a change of 60% from one quarter earlier. From Reuters this morning: Nine of the 10 brokerages tracked by Thomson Reuters StarMine recommend buying Sarepta shares. Their mean price target is $42; five of the analysts rate the company a "strong buy. Sell on the news is being carried to ridiculous extremes>
It could cause Goog to be more inclined to settle since they may noit want their major domestic search competitor to get the patents which would give MSFT the ability to sue to injoin.
Does anyone have a theory on JJ's delaying his rulings?
TIA
dolphins If it's true they're not talking so be it buy doesn't Google face huge risk in appealling? They could lose the laches, lose the math error (which many believe the jury made) and face double the ongoing royalty rate.
Please give us your though on this.
TIA
With calls, it's important to buy time. Buy calls with distant time expiration's. These are more expensive of course. I like calls at or slightly below the current price on the deceptively simple concept that Stocks can go up, go down, or stay at the same price and the at the money call covers two of these three bases.
Regarding Vringo, however, the possibility of the Google or other cases being tied up for years makes all the calls riskier than usual, which generally is quite risky.
I like the VRNG warrants because of their June 2015 expiration.
Priority Review (March) granted Could help stock price mucho
