Good for you A1 I hope you get the chance to trade a few of those . I think a lot of us will just trade this until the day (if ever) it becomes a long term investment again. But in the meantime we should be able to have some fun with it.
Still not that bad I bet we have a few around here that wish they had that price . I'm looking for sub $3 to start buying at. I try and keep some dry powder incase my first buy is to high and it drops more.
Good luck to you, I would think that will make you a nice profit next time it runs.
Whats your average price now post split?
Or what one might call "unrealized profits"
How would have you lost selling prior to the RS?
Over the years titi phone calls to APDN have not always been that helpful . Kind of like nursery rhymes they make a nice story but not a lot of fact to them.
Good luck I wish you well
At what price?
Pity you could have saved some money!!!!
One of the biggest dangers these days is in doing to much research, you can end up spending hours, weeks, months and years and still not see a profit . The more these guys post to these boards the harder it is for them to make a U-turn. They believe they have done so much research they can't possibly be wrong. The truth is it can completely change from day to day. One day its a buy the next a sell.
Thats nearly a year ago, pre the announcement of the RS . I don't know how to make this any clearer. Everything changed after the RS .
Please read the previous posts I posted today. I think I called it as well as anyone could have.

And here is a classic re-timing from December.

What? Pump the stock too $4 before the sell off? Is that going to be good for the old shareholders? I'm back to my view prior to the RS. It was not good for the old long shareholders. They are flushed away. Left holding stock thats a fraction of what they paid not even worth selling.

Yes, the reason I changed my mind was the RS. I don't think its worth taking the gamble of letting my stake (profits) ride through this period. I always thought that I would sell at $1 or loose the lot. After all I'm playing with their money. But that has changed . Now I don't like the odds!

The reverse split Mcsharkey is what we call in the UK a flush. They are flushing out the existing shareholders. At .10 I don't see the stock falling much below .08. At $6 I can see it loosing 30-50% in its first week on the Nasdaq.
In my opinion.

Ehhhh I don't think so Pasta . I don't think they are trying to scam investors. The current investors are just canon fodder. I think vincem has it about right when he says "RS then they will start all over again ''DILUTING' . I don't see any point in risking my profit through the RS and I don't think any other private investor who is in profit will either. The only ones that will ride this out are those that are already down. We have had some great news over the last couple of years that saw us make our way to the high 20s and back down again .They better have some great news or figures if they are going to survive in the big league.

"You shared what Debbie said". "We believe its better for shareholders".
What did you expect her too say?
The question is… Better for existing shareholders or for the new shareholders?

Why not wait for it to go sub .07 then try? I don't understand your rush to buy at these levels. Its been falling all year I don't see it stopping before January.
What? I sold out before the RS . I think your memory is wrong. I would say I had the swing timed pretty well. It was a bloodbath after. I'm hoping to buy back low $2 lets see how my short term trading plays out.
Great to see you out of this before the bloodbath gets any deeper. I disagree with A1. Once they did the RS this was no longer a long term play and I think that it can be traded short term . Stick around shail we might be able to pick these up again sub 3 pretty soon. I'm thinking $2.50 mark. .04 pre split! How cool is that .
Good luck with your other investments.
Thats why I sold out pre RS . Now its just a stock to be traded for me. Hopefully it will drop back into the 2s and it will become a buy again and that it continues these wild swings . I miss the $2.50 days pre split.
SP
I think a lot of long term investors are selling off chunks trying to recoup some of their losses. This move to the bigger exchange with the blood bath that followed will have weakened the resolve of the longest of the longs.
Huuuuuuge gamble still.
Best of luck

What on earth is this all about . 16:01:27 2.31 1 form t nasd
Pink sheet effect right on the close?
Its going to be interesting time. Has APDN moved on and we will see a continued rise or is it going to be as before and we see these gains come tumbling down.
So the shorts have gone? We welcome new investors and who has been flushed? The old longs. Classic.
You kind of hope they have some earth shattering news to announce in the morning but I have had that hope before . So I'm left wondering what exactly are those 50 people doing?
I'm still shocked we are back down to the .04s I was pretty sure we would never see them again, and after the Nasdaq listing, investors had been praying for that as long as I can remember.

I held Dana Petroleum through a RS. Its an interesting story.
Unfortunately our DR is no Tom Cross.
Tom Cross received a phone call he’ll never forget six weeks ago. It came after the announcement that he was selling Dana Petroleum, the oil company he founded 16 years ago, for £1.87bn.
“It was from a disabled pensioner in Ireland who was calling to say thank you,” he recalls. “She said: 'Dana has transformed my life’.
“She invested £400 in 1995 and was getting a cheque for £720,000. She was able to move to a new bungalow with wheelchair access and to go to Australia to see her grandchild for the first time.
“There are a lot of people whose lives you have completely changed,’ she told me. That really captured it for me. It really showed me what this means.”
“This” is the takeover by Korea National Oil Corporation (KNOC), which Dana chief executive Cross, 49, had been battling against vehemently since a £17-a-share approach arrived in June.

I'm wondering if any of those that sold out prior to the RS have bought back in?
Can't blame you. I think a lot of investors that are still in are smaller investors that have such a small amount of their investment left it's not worth selling and are praying for a magical PR.
Its a shame that after all these years just when things should be getting better, they aren't. I have to wonder if some of our board members have reached their level of incompetence?
I would think it would be better than ever, but will it be good enough for new investors to jump in? I doubt it . It has improved year after year recently but the share price has been nothing short of a bloodbath for investors. I don't see that changing without a significant announcement re a reader or a huge contract with some numbers attached. Anything else over the years has been nothing more than pie in the sky. The share price seems to have stabilized, but I suspect investors are waiting for the earnings report and we could see them selling into anything that looks slightly positive news without it being major.
Huge Gamble at this stage.
SP
Will it hold up? Will it gain more? Will it drop back? Its going to be an interesting day thats for sure.
Good luck all.
SP
And thats my point, Thats why I believe its being manipulated . Time will tell, and it will not be long before we know if it's the scalawags up to their tricks.
SP
This way they make more money. You have been around here long enough to have seen this type of action before.
I wouldn't be fooled by this they are just sucking in more poor investors before they drop the price further. We have seen it time and time again . I have seen nothing to suggest we have reached the bottom
Thats called gambling. What has changed is APDN is now a rank outsider.
What? Pump the stock too $4 before the sell off? Is that going to be good for the old shareholders? I'm back to my view prior to the RS. It was not good for the old long shareholders. They are flushed away. Left holding stock thats a fraction of what they paid not even worth selling.
The other question is, who's daft enough to buy at this level?
SP
Didn't one of them say the RS was good for shareholders? I said at the time she is talking about new shareholders not existing . I wouldn't waste my time with them. But thats just my opinion.
I think it's going to be a very bleak holiday season for APDN shareholders . We could be in the $1.50- $2range by the end of the year if they don't come up with something to stop this blood bath.
I'm tempted at these prices to buy back in. But,,,, I'm still concerned we will see Tax loss selling.
