If AN plan is to walk away from PPHM collaboration, I would think they would have already done so.....
Hey Wookster, sorry about the recent demise of your sidekick, Han Solo. Hope you are holding up and staying true to the force!!
MM
Thanks Gwen. If I win, we all win!!
Hey Loof, what am I, chopped liver? I was in the contest preciously but now my name is no longer listed. Here is my prediction from earlier:
57. mmignot - 12/31/15 = $7.89 -- 6/30/16 = $61.51
Hi Mojojo,
In Copper's recap SK also stated the following:
SK agreed that "who doesn't like the sound of a BTD" and they are not ruling anything out and if the opportunity would arise that would fit applying for one, that they would consider it.
Bravo JCNJ!! I voted the same as you. I'm a big fan of your, mad well as several others on this board that at times I both agree and disagree with. Overall, this is really a great board with a balance of differing opinions.
Looking forward to SUNRISE enrollment completion and other good things to come.
GLTALs!!
Yes, I agree wholeheartedly!! I wish the PPHM Board would bring on one or two additional boars members with credentials on par with Dr. Waltz. I hope this happens soon...
GLTALs!!
Re: Thomas Waltz, he was a great guy Gwen.
I had the opportunity of meeting him at the annual share holders meeting back in 2005. I'll never forget his statement regarding Bavi, He publicly stated that Bavi could be the greatest discovery in the last 20 years. From that moment on, I've remained focused In my resolve to hold on and see Bavi through FDA approval and beyond....
GLTALs!!
I hear ya MD, I just think that a smart and accomplished woman like LS has a reason for switching over from Gilead to Peregrine, don't you?? ??
GLTALs!!
MD, you said;
What's bizarre is she left a 160 billion dollar company to go work at Mickey Mouse club house.
CJ, thanks for attempting to clarify SK's estimates on the 1st and 2nd lookins. My take on this is that SK is estimating that the 1st look in may occur anytime during the first half of 2016. His estimate on the 2nd look in is somewhere around mid-year 2016. Therefore, if these lookins were triggered either earlier, or later than he estimated, that wouldn't necessarily make him a "liar" as ExWanna suggested. My bet is that the 1st lookin MAY occur earlier than he estimated, so we'll soon see.
GLTA!!
Hi Paul,
Although SK estimated the 1st look in to occur during the first half of 2016, I believe he is being ultra conservative with his estimate. My belief is that both lookins will occur much sooner than stated.
GLTA!!
A big "YES" for me NotBob!!
Thanks!
Hear hear, I agree 100% ExWanna. CP saw an opportunity to increase his overall holdings and shorted the stock to do it. He used a different method of increasing his shares, which is what many on this board have done in the past. CP is one of the good guys, let's not persecute him for adding a few shares to his overall count.
Thanks!
PPHMVLong,
FYI, it would be most helpful, and also will help to maintain your credibility, if in the future you include links to statements and articles that you reference In your posts.
Many thanks!
(12/31/15) $7.89 (6/30/16) $61.51
TooLong, what is the "modest valuation" that you're thinking of? $5, $10. More??
Many thanks..
Ditto that MazelMan!! Happy Mothers Day to all the Mothers on this board. I too would like to thank Gwen for her contributions on this board. We may not always agree, but you are indeed very much appreciated!!
It sounds like you've lost faith in PPHM a long time ago. If this is the case you should just sell, take your losses (or gains), and move on. It would save you much stress and heartache, and possibly add another 10 years to your life's longevity...
Thanks for the clarification exwannabe...
I'm under the impression that Opdivo Phase III trial is for squamous NSCLC. If this is the case, how would FDA approval of Opdivo affect approval of Bavi, which is for non-squamous treatment?
TIA
I believe it's JamesGMS.....
Thanks Jake, correct me if I'm wrong, but my understanding is the company that was founded by Jennifer Lobo was merged with Techniclone Corporation. Later, I believe in 2002', Techniclone name was changed to Peregrine Pharamaceuticals. I believe that SK originally worked for Peregrine before it was bought/merged with Techniclone. Does this sound about right?
GLTAL!
Nooo, it was stone, by master, bonafiglio, then Legere...
Can you supply a link that proves Dr. Garnick mis-spoke or deliberately mis-lead? Can you prove that any of the 30 phase IIs he was involved in had statistically significant results?
I think what what is trying to be conveyed here, is that someone attending the ASM can often garner more information that may or may not be Generated in a PR. For example, side conversations between Peregrine management and other key personnel, and shareholders. I plan on attending the next ASM later this year.
GLTALs
Vanessa, I don't understand your post. Is it directed at me? If so, can you clarify what you mean by "name calling"?
Many thanks.
I don't think so. I think that Garnick, King, and the BOD all feel confident that Bavi will be approved! Watch the share price blast off if and when this happens.
Good to see you back Wook.
I hope to make it to the next ASM. I hope you, Roger, and all longs are there so I can meet you all.
GLTALs!
Yes, Terry was one of the reasons I originally stayed with this company. We lived in the same city and always planned to meet for a round of golf - I regret that we never made it. Life is sooo short and often taken for granted. I'm sure Terry continuesntomwatch with a certain critique, but still root for Bavi's success from the heavens above...
GLTALs!!
Jim, I agree with the latter part of your statement rather than the earlier part -- I've been here since 1999 and attended my first and only ASM in 2005. It was an interesting meeting, and former COB Dr. Thomas Waltz made a statement at the time that has stuck with me, and along with progressing proof that bavituximab works, has helped me to stay the course and increase my holdings. Dr. Waltz said:
Tarvacin could be the greatest discovery in the last 20 years.
I honestly think the probability of partnering is low, but if a partner is brought on, I believe it will be on Peregrine's terms, not BP's.
Happy 4th everyone..
I've been here since late 1999, so almost 15 years. Stay patient Paul, and I'm sure you'll make a lot of money soon....
Gwen,
What may not be considered a "buying opportunity" to us long time holders, may be a buying opportunity to holders like MazelMan. He's entitled to his opinion, and it shouldn't make us feel any worse.
Mark
Wooow, it's been so long since Fast Track has been granted to Cotara, I guess I forgot. Thanks for the reminder.....
I may be wrong, but I don't believe Cotara has Fast Track. Orphan Status, but not Fast Track.
Thanks for the response Bungler, your opinion is highly regarded.
Many thanks -
Hi Bungler,
In your opinion, where do you think the lawsuit goes from here? Do you think that CSM will ultimately settle, or will they take their chances in court? Your comments on this are greatly appreciated.
Many thanks -
Hey Gene, King was responsible for bring Avid up to a full scale manufacturing organization, but the man responsible for the idea was former CEO Ed Legere...... Just thought you'd like to know..
