You continue to claim the Steads are diluting and selling the shares and pocketing the money. So a couple of questions . Whose name would those shares be listed under. How would they go about selling them. This would apply to both companies. Just trying to sort this out and understand how this would transpire.
Of more importance than rainfall at any given spot is the size of the watershed which feeds cracker creek. Annual snowmelt from higher elevations is also of great importance.
You might direct your attention to the date of the article itself. It is 2002. While short it does give a quick history of the mining history in question. It is apparent you did not even look at the second link showing present claims around sumpter. I will respond to serious questions , I am not interested in useless banter.
Actually Mappo better take a rain coat. Rainfall is above average for the year.

You might want to check your facts. Sumpter is actually having above average rainfall this year. Don't really know what greed has to do with any of this but, whatever. Have a good trip Mappo and better take a rain coat.

This link will show the mines located in and around sumpter, or. including the cracker creek mine. The rest of the state is available also.

Here is a short article I googled in about 30 seconds. Just an overview but to the point.
Steve. I have not been here 3 years but more than 2. I understand your frustration and anger. I am not happy with all the money I have lost (on paper). I don't know when you got in and if you at still in or out. I will say that junior miners have a really hard time making a go of it. I am into about 6 of them and they are all in about the same or worse shape as the steads. All have good credentials and you would think that there would be no problems but that is not the case. Now, I don't know the steads and I am not happy with some of their moves but I either stay or get out. Right now I am still in because I still see good possibilities. Most all of my post are not necessarily pro Kat but are made because I take issue with disinformation I see being put out. Case in point is this issue of the disclaimer. It is not being put forward correctly and I plan on explaining why when I get home from an extended trip tonight. What I try not to do is advise someone to buy or sell based on what I say. I need to hear -positive news within the next few months to decide whether I stay or throw in the towel. Glta
If you have a little time why don't you Google some other Canadian or foreign mining companies trading on US exchanges and see if they don't have a similar disclaimer. BTW Oregon does have gold and lots of it.? That disclaimer cannot be ginned up into some kind of smoking gun. Sorry but its not.
Sorry ,your list is laughable. I think the icing on the cake is there is no gold in origin. I guess I had better let my fellow miners know they are wasting their time. That yellow stuff is not gold. Lol
Exactly Alan. Some are trying to make a fire where there isn't even any smoke
Prove me wrong please . A link would be fine stating that disclaimer in question was placed there by the sec
You can twist it any way you want to but it is not specific to the company. Do you really believe that the sec can force their way into a private web site and post anything without the owners permission. It is a generalized caution about differences in terminology between countries.
You may want to consult a history book. The California gold rush of 48 was immediately followed by the oregon gold Rush of 1849. Oregon has a big history of gold mining. I believe there are numerous tailing fields still in existence and possibly some of the old bucket dredges are still setting where they stopped probably in the 1930s when we went off the gold standard. Private ownership of gold was illegal after that.
I don't understand your insinuatation. It probably was written by Mr. Steads legal team using off the shelf terminology. All or most mining companies have a similar disclaimer. Funny thing is there are some who would like to present it as a warning by the sec that the company is trying to pull a fast one. Sorry, but that is not the intent. The sec did not put the disclaimer in. The company did.
We went through this earlier. That is an off the shelf disclaimer that cautions that different countries use different terminology in regards to resources and reserves. It is not meant as a warning that a company is trying to mislead. All mining companies more or less have the same disclaimer
My post was about your claim they were going to file for bankruptcy. Not about their buying back shares.
I would think if you were so secure in your post and opinions you would allow us to see both sides of this thread.
That is a fabrication sir. If not how about some proof.
So you agree they are opinions and not facts. Thanks
I will show you opinions posted as fact and that is the fact list put up about 10 times a day. Those are not facts but opinions, but that is OK it has gotten amusing .
That is a strange choice of entertainment. But I guess people like differs things.
Apparently true facts carry no weight. All you have to do is post opinions and claim they are facts. But that's OK most k ow what is really happening. Go Kats.
It is apparent that I am beating a dead horse here. I have presented plenty of arguments countering your misleading claims . Suffice it to say that you are wrong .
Complain about what. The disclaimer is NOT a warning that the company is trying to misled or decieive anyone. It is simply a statement that the terminology used in one country does not necessarily coincide with that of another. This disclaimer was put there by management, not the sec. I cannot picture the sec invading a private web site and inserting disclaimers.
Specifics would help bolster your claims. You are casting too broad a net.
Sorry but you are still wrong. Your claims are misleading at best.
You are again incorrect in your claim that the disclaimer is a warning about a specific company i.e. BVIG or KATX. It is a stretch of the imagination to think that the SEC has the ability to enter and modify a companies web site which I think is what you are implying. Again this is an off the shelf disclaimer used by all similar companies.
I have investments in several junior mining companies and I find it interesting that all have the same basic disclaimer. It is worded differently in each, but the intent of the disclaimer is the same. To make it sound as though the SEC made this KATX include this disclaimer is misleading. It is simply a cautionary note that reporting standards between countries are different and investors in one should not use the same definitions for all. Very simple. If you want proof just google "SEC mineral reserve disclaimer". The list of mining companies with a similar disclaimer is lengthy.
How many other junior mining companies are you aware of. That disclaimer is mining specific and was probably put their voluntarily just to avoid confusion .
That is nothing more than a clarification of the terms resources and reserves as per US standards.
Very interesting numbers Alan.
Thanks for your honesty

Yes both . Does their company heading not say Kat Exploration with the sub listing for Katx and Bvig.
I have spent and still do spend a lot of time in the elements. Including gold prospecting. You raised the earth moving question.
Of course they need earth moving equip. How do you think they would feed the troumel and sluice system without it . If you would like I can exain the workings of s placer recovery system. Others my not be interested though . And yes it does affect both kat companies at present.
