Interim CEO is just a stop gap until a permanent CEO is found which I was hoping would be announced by now but for sure within the next month. Mr. Remo has big experience but it was never my understanding he was the man long term. Just taking over while they found the future CEO. Anyone know anything more than that?
I'd like to believe that but that info is just someone's post on the board.
We could verify if we had a name to fact check but no one can provide a name for the new CEO.
Yes, if they are buddies it would be amazing for AMEL. I just can't find any proof if this unnamed individual is friends with Musk. Enlighten me. :)
Arizona and Texas probably out. Now New Mexico has a blow: http://m.bizjournals.com/albuquerque/news/2014/04/15/talk-of-a-special-tesla-session-dies.html?r=full
Looking great for Nevada! And for Amel!!
Don't forget they are also supposed to announce who the new CEO will be. If someone with credentials that alone would drive up the stock.
I would if I could acquire more. I am launching another company in two months so the rest of my capital is tied up at the moment.
Wish it was me. I'm tapped out at over 4 million shares. Holding Looonnnngggg.
No offense taken. I overlooked that. Now you got me really excited. :)
Thanks for reminding me of my geography. Go Amel!!!!!
I believe I've read the announcement is by end of month or first of May. No later than end of may though. Especially since they have a timeline for production and need to break ground this year.
Not sure about your comment that AMEL has enough lithium to supply Tesla by itself. They only have 600 acres of land left in North America (Nevada). While its got lithium on it for sure the big sources they have as far as mining acres is in Canada and Australia. AMEL has a huge portfolio of potentially lithium rich land but its mostly in other countries. Thankfully they are all westernized countries and allies of the U.S. While they just have a tiny spot of land in Nevada (compared to the size of the state) it is right next door to the only lithium producing plant in the U.S. I'm sure it will be maximized for Tesla if they don't just buy it up to have it. As far as I know they only have 600 acres in Nevada. Is that right? Unless it's only 600 acres on one of their projects and they have more acreage on other projects in Nevada.
Patience will be rewarded. I have millions of shares and if I had more money available I'd be buying up even more right now. Between now and the end of May I think we're going to see some major action and a few surprised. Good surprises. Too many times I have sold when I got cold feet due to a drop in price only to kick myself later after the stock shot back up. Way up. Not this time. I'm in for the long haul. Go Amel!!!!
Good point. Couldn't agree more.

Acquisitions starting. News about to come out. Get ready!
Here's one pink sheet just acquired in preparation for Gigafactory needs.

Buy'em up now while they're cheap. One good news release and this thing goes way up.
Don't be left thinking “would of, should of, could of.”
Did they announce what the reverse split would be and when?
2:1, 10:1...etc
Interesting info to know: AMEL's Bare Rocks, Hoffman Hills & Normans Lake Properties cover an area of approximately 43,000 Acres (67 square miles) in Western Australia, lose to the town of Wagin, Australia. The project has a total 55 graticule blocks.
I just researched the Government of Western Australia's Department of Mines and Petroleum Mineral Titles and learned that the maximum amount of graticule blocks that can be licensed inside “known” mineralisation zones is 70 graticule blocks. That means that AMEL is a huge player with regards to how much they own in Australia. You can license up to a max of 200 blocks outside of known mineralisation zones. Nice to know AMEL has a huge stake in proven areas. Just thought I would share some DD.
Good news for entire industry: Energy Dept. Revives Auto Loan Program
Excerpt from just released article: Energy Secretary Ernest Moniz says "Today we are presented with an opportunity to hit the accelerator on U.S. auto manufacturing growth," Moniz said at a conference in Washington. "Motor vehicle parts manufacturers play a significant role in the development and deployment of new technologies to meet the demand for fuel-efficient vehicles."
AMEL is going to benefit big with this push to move this sector forward. The days of wondering are over. It's not “if” but rather how fast it happens. Any day we will get news that Tesla is headed to Nevada and I wouldn't be surprised if on the heels of that we find out who our new CEO is and AMEL's future plans.
Going to be fun!!!
AMEL is one of those plays where one day we'll all sit back one day and think, “Wow! I was in on that.”
Nothing ventured, nothing gained. Risk is not always rewarded but when it is it can be big. And not just a sort of big but really big. Most of us have been very long with this stock. We've seen the ups and downs. Now we sit on a real possibility. Lithium is in the news like never before. It’s here. It has arrived. And it’s not going away. Those of us with sizeable shares are on the cusp of our lives forever changing. We’ve been following this sector for some time. We are in the know. Once the rest of the country gets wind of what is happening with Tesla and what that means for lithium markets there will be a flood to the stock. And not just our stock but to the sector as a whole. AMEL is poised to benefit incredibly. That’s why I have my stake in this company. Sure, its acreage has decresed in Nevada but it still sits on a mass of prime lithium. And next door to the only lithium producing mine in the US. PLUS, Amel owns one of the largest territories in Cananda and Australia that is rich in potential lithium based on geological surveys. Both very friendly to the US. AMEL has set themselves up to be a major part in all things moving forward. There is no doubt that Tesla is aware of Amel. They will need Amel and many others to achieve their goals.
You may wonder why Amel is so quite right now? If Amel was scamming people they would be pumping the Tesla news like crazy right now so as not to waste one bit of PR as they take our money. But no. They sit and weight and are being patient and wise about what news they release and when. Not the way a fly by night business is run. They know something. They have something. And soon we will be seeing the news coming out and all those that got out will be kicking themselves.
With this much money at stake you’re going to see a lot of posts trying to scare you out of your shares only so they can snatch them up cheap. Hold tight. Stay strong and long and we will be rewarded. And not just sort of rewarded but really rewarded. Patience pays off and I think we’re in the last stages of waiting.
2014 is the year Amel goes big. 2014 is the year we go big.
May we all look back on the next few months with fond memories. A bit of disbelief. And that sense of, “Wow. We did it!”
Article this morning: Here's The State Many Are Betting Will Get Tesla's Gigafactory
Behind the scenes officials said that the state famous for licensed gambling would be a good bet for the Gigafactory. For one thing, the sources said, Nevada was the only state where zoning and building permits had been discussed. In addition, a 3,000-acre former Air Force base outside Reno is next to a rail line that runs directly to the not-too-distant Tesla plant in Fremont, California. Nevada also comes with ample space for solar and wind power installation close to the potential plant site.
Finally, according to AutoBlogGreen, Nevada is the location of the only brine pool lithium production in the United States. As a bonus, the Tesla store in Nevada has yet to see a legal challenge to its direct sales practices.
AMEL will skyrocket on the announcement of Nevada as the location!!!!!
Who knows. We're all in the dark until news is announced.
My hope is that we're all going to get Christmas early and they are sitting
on some big info and are waiting to release it. Maybe timing it with
Tesla news for a bigger splash. Just guessing.
Alliance Trust Global (not sure if it's the same company) aims to achieve long-term capital growth primarily from investment in a portfolio of equities quoted on world stock markets. It aims to meet this objective by investing primarily in a concentrated portfolio of global equities. The portfolio will be unconstrained by reference to global stock market indicies or by market cap. The fund managers employ a fundamental, long-term approach to stock selection with a thematic overlay which seeks to identify macro and micro trends within global markets.
So you're saying they are filing late so as not to reveal who the new CEO will be since it's not finalized yet? Not sure I am tracking why the 10K is being filed late and how it might benefit AMEL.
So what's the rationale “good or bad” for the 10K being filed late?
April is going to be a wild month for Tesla and the entire lithium market.
I hope AMEL is not just going to benefit from the buzz but actually has it's finger in
the pie and is working on some big announcements.
Either way we are all going to make money on AMEL. How much is the question.
.25 on the horizon!
Wish I had more cash to LOAD UP!
Good buying opportunity before the news!
There are lots of strong hands in this stock. Some just choose to stay silent. Many have been long for quite a while with millions of shares. We've seen this stock go to $1.50 just on undocumented rumors (Ford). The Tesla Gigafactory is for real and it involves big time lithium production. AMEL has been silent for a while. They use to pump even the smallest of news stories. This one is bigger than any they have ever had a chance to promote yet they have waited. I feel a big AMEL PR move here as soon as Tesla announces Nevada as it's location and you'll see AMEL stock skyrocket leaving everyone to chase after it. They just want to time it perfectly. Not rush out too early like amateur hour. IMO
Patience will pay off 10,000 fold here soon.
And did you notice that article was from an Arizona publication? Even some of their press see the writing on the wall.
Mr. Remo was always listed as an interim CEO. He it a respected businessman with big time Experience. He's helping out AMEL to find the right guy to take over. He is 73 and successful already and is thinking about the future for AMEL. There is no reason any seasoned CEO would even touch Amel, not to mention become the interim CEO if it wasn't legit. They would not risk their reputation. I think he's going to help attract and bring on a sharp leader that is probably already in the wings. I wouldn't be surprised if Amel is biting their lip on several thing they can't tell us yet. They know it's been a while since any news has been out. The know investors are waiting. They know all about the Tesla opportunity. They know something and will release news soon. Be ready for share price to run when they do.
Bingo!! You got it.
AZ and NM are all over the news and working PR hard to entice Tesla. I have heard nothing at all from NV in weeks. Almost like they are not in the running. Then again, maybe there really is no “running”. Maybe the deal was made a while back and that's why NV doesn't have to beg. I would assume on a deal this big the decision was made behind closed doors a while back. They said they will start building the Gigafactory this year. With all the permits, location scouting, etc...you don't just pick a state and get started. That stuff takes a while to work out. According to AZ and NM, Tesla hasn't even visited them yet. They have already been to NV and have many business connections there. Let's make a decision already. The world waits!!!!
Side note: excerpt from article, “Any gigafactory is going to require massive amounts of electricity to operate, so electricity pricing is likely to be a big factor. NV Energy is now a division of Warren Buffet’s MidAmerican Holdings, which is intriguing.”
Tesla + Nevada = $$$$$$$$$$$$$ for AMEL
It's definitely between NM and NV. (advantage Nevada!) – proximity, rail lines, lithium, wind and solar, friendly to Tesla. I would be shocked if they picked New Mexico. Tesla needs to get started building very soon to hit their goals so I assume an announcement will be any day!
www.huffingtonpost.com/2014/03/19/tesla-sales-ban_n_4992758.html
Every other day i see articles like this from all the OTHER states aggressively going afte the Gigafactory while Nevada if silent. No governor speaking. No letters sent. No wooing of Tesla. That either means NV isn't showing enough interest or they know something we don't. That a deal was struck long ago and they don need to court them like the other states. I'm thinking the latter and hope news comes out soon. When it does we won't see these pps again. Ever.
It's going to be a good week for AMEL shareholders.
That all sounds great and is correct except for the land in Nevada. They only have 600 acres now after letting the majority go back after no paying fees on it. I'm sure what they did keep is the land with the most lithium potential. And yes, they have a ton of acreage worldwide. GO AMEL!!
Article just out: “Nevada, on the other hand, appears to be a likely candidate.”
