Remember when Dr. Frudakis said that he wanted to reward the long term investors who had faith in the company.
What ever happened to that?
I'd say that the front page of USAToday is pretty big news.
What did you expect - a contract?????

Frog - I am not a big fan of yours, but THAT IS FUNNY.
I vote no too. No matter how you slice it a R/S will only hurt existing stockholders.
Technical Analysis:
According to the charts, if DNAP breaks 3.5 cents it is clear sailing to 5.2 cents.
Take care,
-Matt
One would think that if DNAPrint were involved with this Genographic project, a press release would be forthcoming.
Is Family Tree DNA associated with DNAPrint or are they a separate company?
What exactly is WSG doing for DNAPrint with regards to the Chicago/Judge/Husband/Murder Case?
This is a perfect case for DNAPrint to shine.....
Retinome not listed on the Products/Services/Forensics page of the DNAPrint web site.
3 Part Series In Discover Magazine starting this month on how race effects disease and medicine response....
Ann:
Thanks. But I am still not impressed with anything the Wall Street Group has done for DNAPrint....
-Matt
Wall Street Group Doing Horrible Job:
There is so much exposure that DNAPrint could be getting in the media with current products such as DNAWitness, Retinome, Ancestry, etc.
It seemed to me DNAPrint was doing better in this arena prior to WSG.
What exactly are they doing??????????????????????
From USA Today....
http://www.usatoday.com/news/health/2005-01-06-extra-genes-hold-off-aids_x.htm
Interesting how although ancestry does not seem to be a factor in this case, it is discussed as an important factor in disease analysis.....
Look at CYGX. They have no revenue. Their news is just as exciting as DNAP. They are trading at 90 cents (granted a few less O/S). DNAP needs to start marketing themselves better. Whatever marketing they are doing now is not working. DNAP has exciting technology but is failing in marketing themselves. DNAP should be featured on CSI etc.
DNAPrint's decision to limit news releases was and is ill-advised.
It has hurt the pps and consequently caused more share dilution than necessary.
As I recall, DNAP was doing better when they communicated with the shareholders. There was more excitement about the stock.
There is no reason why DNAP can not issue press releases the same as any other small company. For one thing, DNAP has more to say than most other penny stocks.
IMO, dilution is worse than a reverse split. As long as we have revenue and news - DNAP can survive a reverse split.
I think the shareholders should communicate to DNAP that the news blackout is hurting our company.

Souzagotcha:
The R/S is just my opinion. I do not see how a company can move forward with this many outstanding shares.
However, I am not that pessimistic about it. As long as the revenue and science are strong, I believe DNAP can survive (and even thrive) after a reverse split. IMO - this stock is so undervalued now, that a R/S will not hurt it. We all may not get as rich as quickly as we thought we could, but we will do all right.
With every passing day, I realize that everything Dr. Tony promised is coming true. I am very optimistic and increasing my position for 2005.
Best Of Luck,
-Matt
This is what I can not understand. Assume a 10 to 1 reverse split which would bring the outstanding shares to a reasonable level.
That would bring share price to 11 or 12 cents per share.
With the reduced amount of outstanding shares...this company should be trading between 50 cents and 75 cents. Minimum.
-Matt
Retinome has not gotten the recognition that it deserves. Time will show that in some ways, retinome is a better forensic tool than Ancestry.
Chris:
I agree.
-Matt
Excellent find. Looks like it will not be a matter of personalized medicine being accepted, but rather competition in the personalized medicine space that may determine DNAPs future......
Dont you just love this?

Here we go. On Fox News This Morning......
Government Approves First Genetic Lab Test:
http://www.foxnews.com/story/0,2933,142452,00.html
In my opinion, Retinome never got the mass media attention it rightly deserved.
With all the shows about forensics and dna on TV, you would think that the ability to predict eye color from an anonymous sample of DNA would create at least a small media ripple.
Any thoughts?
Prediction:
DNAP sells off DNAWitness, Retinome, and DNAAncestry to fund further pharmacological development....
Is this not what Ovanome is supposed to do for ovarian cancer?
The name of the suspect sounds hispanic to me.
What is meant by "quiet period" for a stock?
What does everyone think as to why there has been no news lately?
Could it be a simple as there is no news?
Or is mgmt sitting on something big?

DNAP = Paradox
What a paradox this stock is:
You can't buy more because the price is going to go down.
You can't sell what you have because the price is going to go up.
Hay Caramba!
Retinome Baby! eom.
Shouldn't Dr. Tony be spending his time making DNAPrint profitable rather than spending his time writing a book?
Shouldn't Dr. Tony be spending his time making DNAPrint profitable rather than spending his time writing a book?
Photo Database....
The answer is obvious, the U.S. Army. With a little smooth marketing, it is not inconceivable to think that the Pentagon would pay for such a database.
I would think that Dr. Frudakis has some connections on the Biometrics council to make this happen.

Mingwan0 - Very Interesting Article....
I am curious about the methodology of isolating
a single gene responsible for the adverse drug reaction.....Can you shed any light on this...?
Thanks,
-Matt
Work To Play:
Okay, I will accept your A=B, B=C, A=C answer.
But you have to admit, it doesn't quite give us the warm and fuzzy comfort level we would like.
Here is a question. We had a press release about Lynn-Peavey reselling a DNAPrint product. Where is the press release about DNA Testing Solutions reselling the DNAPrint product??? It would seem just as newsworthy.
Thanks,
-Matt
Work To Play - How do you know this site is reselling Ancestry by DNAPrint and is not a competitor???
Thanks,
-Matt
Grateful and Bag8ger:
Thank you and I will check those resources out!

Question For Mingwan0.....
Mingwan:
I recall reading a post in which you stated that you were mostly self-taught in your knowledge of genetics.
Do you have any recommendations on good books or other reference materials to learn more about this science?
Thanks,
-Matt
Patience,
I do not disagree that this company has tremendous upside. Lord knows I have bet the farm on it. I was just hoping that we were beginning to see the unveiling of eye color as a forensic tool. Some recent posts and quotes had me believing we were close on this. I guess DNAP is just not ready yet. I actually agree with Slopster that eye color is what is going to pull the pps and the reputation of this company upward in the near term. We need it. Eye color is important, make no mistake about it. I hope that no one beats us to it. Good luck to all.
Thanks,
-Matt
