Neal:
Wife and two gal friends just left hauling 8 horses in 3 trailers to halfway between Macon and Atlanta. At least it won't be a cat 4 that far inland. Like most of us, I have little control over what my wife wants to do. All I did say was no, I am staying home to watch the dog and the cat.
They should get up there around 11:00 PM tonight. I'll have a pleasant night sleeping wih beautiful Ms. Kari, my 4 pound 16 year old Yorky.
Geo.
Hey Neal,
You went over there last time and the storm followed you. You are a storm magnet. Go visit Fung for a week, will ya!! LOLOL
Geo.
Thanks, Rick. We are fine so far and now waiting on hurricane #3 of the season.
B&B-
Yes this one looks even worse. We have friends just south of Atlanta with about 70 acres of pasture. If the course of the storm continues as is, my wife and a bunch of her friends are taking a convoy of about 15 horses up there tomorrow. 40% of my county is still without electric as of the morining. Of course, Palm Beach is still much worse. One friend says he finally got electric yesterday but they are talking end of the month for phone. Thank God for cellphones.
Trying to buy a generator here in the deep south produces a lot of laughs. I've been trying since two hurricanes ago. I swear if I drove up to Tennessee or somewhere and bought a UHAUL truck load of them and set them on the side of the highway down here I could sell 50 in an hour for $1K each. Meanwhile, I just spent major bucks for a new 2005 Mercedes convertible this week. Maybe that should go north too!
Will report in later, thanks for the concerns,
George
Hi Rick,
Thanks for the concern. We made out fine. It will take me about two hours this weekend with the chainsaw and all will be back to normal. Won't need to turn on the sprinklers this week. Had about 12" of rain.
Geo.
Hope all is OK there Neal.
We lost power a few times, but are back up. Got a few trees and a lot of limbs down. One tree took out a section of fence in a pasture, but no horse problems. Looks like right at 12" of rain. Pool is full to overflowing. Couldn't drain off as fast as the rain filled it back up. Just had a strong storm come thru at 7:00 PM, but that looks like it. That looks like the last band of storms. Now I have to head up to Tallahassee in the morning. Storm went ashore right at St. Marks where my boat is. Will check it out itomorrow.
Neal,
Still a crapshoot as to where it is going. I am over 100'up and about 5 miles from the gulf. Been breezy all day, no rain. Looks like maybe you will get some rain in Tampa soon. Present track as of 5:00 PM shows it going over just north of Tampa, maybe Pasco or Hernando county. Still that's only 40-50 miles from my place. We shall see
B&B
Yes we never blanketed our horses in Middle Georgia. They grew nice winter coats. We boarded about 75 horses up there and boarders were always a pain about putting blankets on their horses. Don't miss the boarding business at all.
Geo.
B&B-
You been talkin' to my wife lately? She said the same thing. Hey, I just write the checks. The horses are her thing and she thinks she will leave them outside the barns. Latest reort at 11:00 AM has the track a little more Easterly missing our area of the gulf coast completely. Too early to predict. I do want it to give us some needed rain. Don't want the wind. The pastures are looking a little dry. Been in the mid 90s every day and rain has been spotty to none for the last week or so. I have about 35,000 sq. ft. in Floratam sod and that is under irrigation but the pastures are not.
Thanks for your thoughts. I will stay in touch.
Geo.
Hi Neal,
Sure is lookin' that way. Present track looks right about half way between Tampa and Crystal River. I won't start bringing in the stuff from around the lanai again until Sat. afternoon. Lots of heavy stuff out there- even a 1971 Rockola Juke box. Seems like I just put all those plants, barbecue grill, fridge, etc. back out two weeks ago. My boat is in high and dry up on the St. Marks River south of Tallahassee, so it wil be fine. Good luck to you. I came back from North Florida today. US 19 was empty my way, but very heavy traffic northbound- lots of horse trailers and motor homes headed inland. My horses should be OK. May leave them out rather than in the barns. Depends on how much storm we get. I am up 150' above sea level, and pure sand so not worried about water, only wind.
Later,
Geo.
Neal,
If I were him I'd pay up. Reading that crap will make for an unhappy happy hour.
Hey,
I sold Real Estate part time in Virginia in the 70s. Saw Tom Hopkins in person at a seminar in Williamsburg when he was about 23. The boy wonder was good. "Can I come talk to you about listing your home at 6:00 PM or would 8:00 be better for you?" Either choice is the correct choice. Or how about "This blue trim looks ugly" Response: "are you going to repaint it yourself or have it done professionaly?" Neat stuff.
Realtors would kill each other over a sale but at party time they are a tightly knit fun-loving group and are also tight with National Association of Appraisers as well. Still doesn't fit into the pennyscam stuff that I can see, however.
Didn't that property belong to what's his name? Shucks, I'll bet they put a slot palace up there as soon as they bulldoze the car lot's remains.
CML-
I do not believe there are ANY people left who don't know they were scammed. And no, no one has called Mr. Hall for info. I don't know if you ever talked to him, but he is not exactly chatty. The few remaining idiots on RB like Gate and Miltie are just playing a game. So are we by tweaking them, thereby continuing it. What I would like to know is how many "innocent investors" were actually part of the scam, Vs the real investors who lost their money. I always felt there were three levels to this scam. Besides the boyz whose names end in a vowel, there were the professionals that pumped for shares like Wendy and Ed the Slurp) The third level were the investors who realized they had been screwed. They hyped and hyped, trashed "bashers", threatened, told stories about phone conversations etc. in the hopes of bailing out at a profit. Just my opinion of course.
It's a scam that can't be beat and there are no laws to effectively control it. You couldn't possubly steal this much with a gun. I mean, how many liquor stores and seven-elevens would it take to just compare with 30 seconds on the printing press while slugging down a cool one with SBG. You can short shares easily offshore or even Canada. It would be hard to prove that the intent was to drive the price down via dilution, poor performance, corruption, whatever. Bottom line is you sell short at the peak of a great pump and cover when the bottom falls out. Can't miss because the perps control the entire operation. If nothing else, PCBM made us experts in how to quasi-legally fleece the public. I now know exactly how to do the whole thing from reverse-merging a shell thru the hype phase, then the pump, short, dump and dilute. Then fold up the tent and go home.
Did you ever consider that the gullibles like Alan and the princesses of cut and paste may not be separate individuals and may not even own any stock? I am hard pressed to believe that after Alan C supposedly got killed to the tune of a a few hundred $K in PCBM, that he would jump into another penny scam with both feet. All the while complaining to Congress how corrupt the people associated with his investments are. If he were for real he would stay away from investments that had a potential for corruption and stay with something he knows like real estate. There's been some real opportunity for profit in his chosen field the last 3 years or so. How's about him/her maybe being a professional cheerleader to keep the suckers buying?
Alan was almost right about naked shorting and organized crime. The only part he missed is any shorting that was done was by the insiders who could do so with confidence. They knew beyond any doubt that they could print the shares to cover and knew the price of the shares would be headed south because they controlled that. I would guess that the low level hoods like Vincenzo and Turino go out and make their bosses hundreds of millions if not billions in the penny market. Very little risk unless the DOJ really figures it out and gets inspired to track it all down. There are no good SEC laws to control them, only the RICO statues.
Diamonds-
What the hell is this all about?? Janice has never been convicted of anything. She specializes in bring vermin out from under their rocks. It takes courage to expose a scam for what it is. Not only is this outdated by 5 years, but the results of her efforts brought fruit in exposing the scam. Those scheming Bast***ds were fined $2.1 million for shafting their stockholders. Here's the 2002 results of the SEC litigation against your heroes. Oh- and get a life yourself. Know your subject before inserting your foot in your mouth. Your precious diamond scam is next:
U.S. Securities and Exchange Commission
Litigation Release No. 17646 / July 31, 2002
Court Orders Arizona Trust and Trustee to Pay $2.1 Million for Role in Internet Pump and Dump Scheme
SEC v. Hitsgalore.com, Inc., Stephen J. Bradford, Life Foundation Trust and Jeanette B. Wilcher, Civil Action No. SACV 01-1133 GLT (ANx) (C.D. Cal.).
The Securities and Exchange Commission announced today that a federal judge in Southern California ordered Life Foundation Trust and its trustee Jeannette Wilcher to pay $2.1 million in combined disgorgement of illegal profits and penalties for their role in a pump and dump scheme involving the stock of Hitsgalore.com, Inc. Hitsgalore was a publicly traded Internet company located in Rancho Cucamonga, California, that maintained a website providing an Internet search engine and leasing advertising space to consumers.
----------------------------------------------
The founder had run afoul of the law before the Hitsgalore fiasco also as shown by this class action suit:
Weiss & Yourman has filed a securities fraud class action complaint against Hitsgalore.com Inc. (OTC:HITT) on behalf of shareholders who purchased or otherwise acquired their shares of Hitsgalore securities between February 17, 1999 to May 13, 1999 and suffered damages thereby.
The complaint names as defendants Hitsgalore and its CEO and president, and alleges that the company knew and failed to disclose that its founder, Dorian Reed, along with two other individuals, had been ordered to pay over $600,000 to 100 customers for "false claims made by Internet Business Broadcasting, a failed online advertising company they worked for." As a result of this disclosure, the company's stock price, which had recently skyrocketed from $1.88 a share to a high of $20.69, tumbled to $9.38 a share, for a loss of over 50% of its value in one day. On Wednesday, Reed tendered his resignation as a director of the company.
Plaintiff seeks to recover damages on behalf of all those who purchased HITT common stock during the Class Period, excluding defendants and their affiliates.

Kiss Kiss Kiss and Hug Hug Hug
Geo.
I won I won!! What do I get?
Google needs to go up another $12 for me to win the pool. Go GOOG and Bless you. Turd er True Faith Never Wavers. Investigate the SEC!!
E Pluribus Unim to you too
Yo no hablo latino
Hi Neal,
Yeah, I thought of you. You had posted you were heading over to Kissimmee. Good move based on the info available, but turned out to be the wrong move. I watched News 8 which has their own "Viper" radar system, and they picked up that first wobble to the right and said "looks like maybe Charlotte Harbor" now. I've been in that inlet many times with my boat. Took it to Punta Gorda and spent the night at the Holiday Inn there a few times. Actualy great Tarpon fishing there at the inlet. I'm almost curious enough to take a drive down there today except I don't want to get in the way of the cleanup people. They don't need any gawking visitors right now. Glad we are all safe here. Thanks to all here for their concern.
Geo.
Ps. Sunny and calm this AM, about 80 deg.
Hi Janice,
Winds right now are in excess of 12 MPH and we have had near 1" of rain. Storm turned more to the east. Looks like it will pass over Orlando then out to the Atlantic.
Hi Rick,
I thought about helping out Jeff, but I decided he can afford to hire help to do those things. Maybe his wife's artists and sculptors can help.
Seriously, it is still headed straight for my house. We are 5 miles inland and 170' above sea level and the ground is pure sand. No worries about flooding, just wind damage. We will stay, as we have to worry about our horses and my wife is prepared to go out on emergency veterinary calls if necessary.
My son in Sarasota lives right on the water and is busy lashing down his 33' boat as we speak. He would be better off putting it in high and dry at a marina, but kids don't listen -even at 40!!
Thanks for the concern. Will keep y'all posted,
Geo.
I was thinking the same thing. You could no more reason with people like Gate on the Kerry "unfit for command" book than you could with him on the demise of PCBM. The fact that the sponsor of that book is an extremist with an extremist history for 30 years seems irrelevant. He wrote it down so it must be correct. Same goes for Matt Drudge. Bet they just eat up Fox News as well, never giving a thought to the control exercised by Roger Ailles. At least we know that if Rush says it, it's right -wing that is. The dumbing down of America is actually scary. The crooks that are hijacking this country depend on the stupidity of the masses.
Geo.
Jeff,
You have mail
Jeff,
Still andle@biode.com? You will need at least 3 meg of capability for what I have.
Geo.
Derf,
I looked at it recently. I agree it is possible. The Harlan that got caught appeared to be from CT. but the SEC proceedings were in the "Middle District of Fla", just like LoC and T, so could be I guess. I thought it was Turino that had the hobby of selling un-registered securities.
Not the same Harlan. Our boy is Bruce McFreeland Harlan
More like a severe case of Optical Rectitus. Got his head stuck so far up his *** he can't see what happened.
Geo.
Good. Glad to hear that.
Geo.
Yeah, that is a bad thought. Only foolin'. He did wear nice sneakers to the fire the other night, though. Shows he can dress up for special occasion- especially when he plays with matches. Do you have any of that info on Hall's life prior to PCBM? I think the BK was 97 and jail 95. I have it somewhere at home, I think.
Janice,
You get the..um.. special prize. A night at the Red Roof Inn in Cannonsburg with Mr. Lobster - complete with Chinese takeout from Hoo Flung Dung. He promised to take a shower though. Unfortunately the filth on him doesn't wash off. You will have to wear a wire for Neal.
Neal
Be careul not to go down the primrose path here. Hall is a fairly common name and there is a Michael Hall with several felony arrests in Tallahassee. Not the same guy. Our guy has also been incarcerated, it appears. Huck had that info from a judical website and it was our St.Pete Hall, no doubt. After prison he went into bankruptcy then went on to fame as PCBM president. Huck ran it via S.S. number. I have that # at work tomorrow if you don't have it already. He was dumb enough to give it out in his employment contract with PCBM. I am worried about Huck. Anyone have enough personal info to check on his health??
IMHO
Geo.
I think I am going to win. Far as I know the $113 is only an approximate!! LOL
Geo.
They do meter collections and do ticket machines like the one Scott Peterson used at the marina where he dumped his wife's body. Like Rick, I still own some CLSI.
Geo.
Bashers Beware!
An interesting press release from CLSI today. I guess pumping up a stock is OK:
Clancy`s Judgment Against Basher Upheld
July 26, 2004 12:19:00 (ET)
DENVER, Jul 26, 2004 (BUSINESS WIRE) -- Clancy Systems International, Inc. (CLSI, Trade), a leading developer of parking enforcement solutions, was notified on Friday that it's judgment against a basher who had harassed the company for almost three years at various chat room sites, including Raging Bull, was upheld by the Massachusetts Supreme Court. The Company intends to pursue the judgment award.
In a case originally filed with the Superior Court of the Trial Court of the Commonwealth of Massachusetts in September of 2000, the Company sought the identities of John Does 1-10 and filed a claim for damages. This was done as a result of an ongoing barrage of false, defamatory and slanderous remarks about the Company, its officers, its employees and shareholders that were made on Raging Bull and other chat room sites. The persons who perpetrated these falsehoods did so by posting their remarks under alias identities. Once the true identities were disclosed, the individuals were notified to cease and desist their actions. One individual continued his activities which included profanities and death threats. As the postings by this individual did not cease, the Company pursued the case.
The Company was awarded a judgment against the defendant on October 31, 2001. The defendant then began a process of filing appeals through the Massachusetts Court System. The final appeal to the Massachusetts Supreme Court was filed in June 2004.
Throughout this lengthy process, the defendant never provided proof that he at any time owned shares of the Company. He never contacted the Company directly to verify information. It appears that this was a recreational activity. There were over 5,000 posts during the period, and on some days the posts were continual for 10 to 12 hours.
While the Company feels the verdict is just, Company officials expressed sadness that they were forced to take this matter to the courts in the first place. "It has been a terrible ordeal for the Company and its shareholders. We have spent a great deal of time on this matter and wasted valuable Company financial resources. While we understand that a forum like Raging Bull offers an opportunity for favorable and unfavorable comments about publicly held companies, this individual violated all terms of service and went beyond the acceptable rules for posting," stated L. Wolfson, a Company spokesperson.
