To say that neither has/had much competition is a fair statement I guess. And I agree, no way to compair the two head to head. It will always be a debate for ages to come.
Sergio has the right idea............
In my opinion, if more of Tiger's rivals had self confidence and actually gave themselves half a chance of beating him, it would be a big step in the right direction to making it happen.

You know, I've always been told that I would argue with a brick wall. Well, I just now understand what they've always been talking about. I'll bet you've heard that before too. LOL
Listen hardhead, everything evolves through time. And to compair an athlete of one era to another is just stupid. You compete against what you have at the time, and if you are considered great at what you do, by those of that era, then who are you to say otherwise.
Oh, and yes I do think Pistol Pete would be doninate today. And as far as Jack Dempsey, just who might the heavyweight be today that could take him out. LOL
Yes I read it, and it's just someone's opinion. Just because you believe it doesn't make it fact. You ask "would you say that size has any factor in determining the efforts of the athlete?" Absolutely not. The efforts of an athlete comes from within, regardless of whether they are small or big.
Hey, I've got an idea, let's give a Jim Thorpe, or a Red Grange the oppertunities and equipment of today's athlete, then we'll talk.
OK, let's see if I can try and explain. I like baseball, but I hate the Yankee's. I like basketball, but I hate the Lakers (think a few years back on that one).
Truthfully, I don't really hate Tiger. I do enjoy good golf and without a doubt Tiger is the best golfer today. I take offense to anyone belittling someones achievements of years ago because there is no humanly way possible to say whether either one of the eras was better. It's all just opinion. Yes competition is better today, but what could today's players do with the equipment of yesterday. There are so many variables. No way to tell.
No he won't, and that's because he has much more class than you do.
OK you got me, I was taking the kids angle. That's alright, I still hate Tiger. LOL
True maybe as far as corporate stuff. Jack on the other hand had something known as family stuff. Tiger doesn't have that commitment yet.
I tend to agree with that, although I guess that would depend on whether they were playing in Jack's era, or Tiger's.
Well, you have a right to be wrong. Also, I think Tiger has won most all his after leading nearly all of the way. Seems as if, when he doesn't pad that big lead early, he just fades away.
I agree 100%, compairing the 2 is impossible, both are great. But to say that Jack would not have done what he did with Tiger around is just very childish IMO. That, mainly was what I was bitching about.
Harrington, Dimarco, and Toms. LMAO, give me a break. How many majors do they have between them? And Mickelson, you yourself have been slamming him. Really Singh, Goosen, and Els are the only real threat to Tiger and lately those are debateable.
And I agree with what you say there when it comes to Phil, and alot of others that are happy with just making a living and maybe winning a few lesser known tourneys. But when it comes to desire, and being able to step up to the plate and make the shot when the money is on the line, Jack was as good as there ever has been. You were the one belittling his achievements and should have a little more respect.
OK, you named 6 dominate players of Jack's day. Now tell us 6 dominating in Tiger's. I'm waiting.
Something to keep in mind is...........
who did Jack have to keep him motivated to win more and more major championships. No one that's who. Once he won his 12th and had the record, he still went on and won 6 more. So the way I look at it is, if Tiger ever does pass Jack and win 19, let's see him make it to 25 with nothing to drive him. Then start compairing him to Jack.
Davis Love here, but he'll make up for it tomorrow. I hope.
Michelle Wie is getting closer to that Masters dream. She just advanced to the final 16 players with a 6 and 5 win in her first match today. I think she plays again this afternoon.
True, alot will depend on the weather, although there are really alot of short holes there at the Old Course. If the weather is decent they could go much lower than that. JMHO. Tiger was -19 in 2000.
Oh yea, thanks......278
Here's mine too..........
Woods
Love
Couples
Clarke
Garcia
Good luck
I really liked that last comment from Wie..........
"But like I said before, the one characteristic that I have is I don't really care what anyone says."
Hello, maybe it's time we remember that we are only 15 years old. True, her golf game is much older than that, but mentally, she is still just a little girl that needs direction. Somehow I feel she is calling more of the shots than she needs to be right now.
I'm sure many fathers out there can attest, a 15 year old does not know what is best for them even though they think they do. Especially a 15 year old girl.
RDG, if the best that we can hope for is to get callers calling in about the CMKX scam then I guess that just about says how sad our situation is, doesn't it? Good luck trying to find interesting topics for the board, hope that wasn't your best effort.
Michelle Wie +2 after 6.
I didn't say mislead with delution, although that means absolutely nothing. I don't give a crap if they had a billion out if the price would go up. We were mislead with all the talk of how IBC was growing and affiliate stations and micro reports and on and on and on. I really like the one about how Darrell was searching for a new high profile facility for their offices and then come to find out they are working out of their houses. What loosers.
I'm not hard to understand Muley. I stood by this company for a very long time. And you have to admit that way too much talk from the company (Daryn) has come and gone without anything coming of it to help us (the shareholders) in any way. We have been mislead continuously and told to treat our shares like gold. I don't know what that means to you, but to me that means that my investment will increase and soon will pay off bigtime for me holding long. Well I did hold long for over a year after hearing those famous words and still hold some after nearly 2 years and all I see is a stock worth about 1/4 of what I paid for it originally and no signs of any improvement. Now tell me something I don't know.
Chris Couch leads at -9. Has anyone seen this guy play? He's won 2 Nationwide events this year. If you get the chance this weekend, watch and check out his short game. He plays everything inside of about 80 yards cross-handed, even out of the sand. It's something to see.
Norman Returns to Action at British Open
His back has recovered from surgery. He’s passed his 50th birthday, making him eligible for the Champions Tour. And Greg Norman is preparing to depart for the British Isles and the beginning of four tournaments in a row.
Greg Norman has made two starts on the European Tour in 2005 resulting in a missed cut and a withdrawal. He had the surgery done in Pittsburg in March after exhausting all non-surgical options to relieve the back pain. He hasn’t played since then, but he has scheduled a whirlwind month of play, beginning with the British Open July 14-17.
“My game right now is very rusty,” Norman said. “But I’m going to get a couple of lessons before I get over there – give me time to feel it.”
Norman, who will utilize his 19-year-old son Gregory to caddy for him, plans to arrive early at St. Andrews to begin preparation for the British Open. He twice won the event, in 1986 and 1993.
“I love St. Andrews,” he said. “It’s unique in its own right. Kind of interesting going over there – a lot of important things are happening at St. Andrews this year, obviously with Jack (Nicklaus). I’d like to be able to see him … I hope he makes the cut, too.”
And that’s just the beginning. From there, Norman dives headlong into the elder schedule, playing two tournaments reserved for those 50 and over.
“I’ll go and play the Senior British Open at Royal Aberdeen, then fly right back for the Senior U.S. Open,” he said.
Then it’s back for another shot at the PGA Tour. “I’ll probably go out there and visit Jack Vickers at the International for his 20th anniversary of the tournament. … I’m a huge fan of Jack Vickers, what he’s done for the game of golf,” said Norman.
That makes it four tournaments over a four-week stretch. A rather ambitious schedule indeed for a person who has just recuperated from surgery.
“Hopefully, four weeks in a row will be enough to give me an idea, ‘OK, do I keep going, or do I need more practice? Or what is my situation?’” Norman said.
Norman’s present plans are to play the JELD-WEN Tradition, another Champions Tour major, Aug. 25-28, though that is dependent on how his back holds up.
“So, the next seven weeks are going to be very interesting,” he said with a smile.

now that wasn't very nice. LMAO
Last quarter when ibcs filed their 10Q, and they had huge revenue
Did you really mean to say that? Huge revenue? What kind of good drugs are you doing? Give me some of that stuff boy. LMFAO
You should know that nobody believes that BS for one minute. You lost probably a grand on this POS and you sit here every day trashing the company. If you lost 5 grand in Vegas you would probably go blow up the place.
Nope, I've sold about 3/4 of what I once owned. The last 1/4 can go to .0001 for all I care but I'll just hold it. If by some miracle it goes up then I'll get to yaahoo like the rest of you.
Where's RDG? Guess he gave up too. Nobody gonna take Matt up on his offer for this prestigeous position as moderator? Come on now, step up to the plate somebody. LOLOLOL
Nor do I expect one. Do I sence a little frustration there. LOL
Haven't checked in for awhile. Has the deal for the 10-station affiliate package closed yet? Anyone know? TIA
I do love the look of those MP-32's with the muscle back technology, ain't that what they call it? Best looking new club I've seen in awhile.
As far as Tiger, I'm sure he says that he can play anything because that is better for business, but no way do I believe that he can actually go play a Titleist on TV if he would want to. Just my opinion though.
I don't think so.
Oh OK, he must of went away from it after the first one. That was a perfect example of what the game of golf can do to anyone on any given day. It was sure unexpected.
