friendlyfred,
Would it not make sense to exercise options before the share price goes up? Isn't there a tax on the spread?

Pardon me if this has already been posted.
I don't think so Hollywood. It would take some time for that to happen.
emit,
I don't understand why you would expect that. EDIG has traded at this level for a while. I think it would take bad news to drop it further.
CDR,
Have you considered starting your own board? Many may be interested in your investment choices. I don't think Fred would mind you posting your link here.
Why don't you ask him?
Best of luck!
resqjuc,
Who is selling Collier's JB? How many have sold? Can you post reviews.
TIA
CDR,
What do you get out of staying here for the duration? Do you want to prove to a handful of people that you are a visionary? Of course your negative rant doesn't make you unique, but if you drill it into our heads seven day a week we won't forget you.
And in the end what will you gain if your are correct? You certainly will not get back your losses in the stock.
GNET just jumped on the ask side. It will be interesting to see what follows.
murrayhill,
I doubt that most passengers would spend an entire 13 hour flight watching movies. However, for those rare individuals who would forgo eating, sleeping or going to the can I'm sure additional batteries could be supplied.
talons,
Norris stepped down over four years ago.
owd3,
What is the point of your posting? Nearly every day I see you post negative and repetitious comments regarding EDIG.
What do you get out of this?
TWOMIL,
Since the webcast last Wednesday this board has been filled with personal information. I understand that it can be hard holding shares in any company, but personal feelings are off topic.
Would you mind share your thoughts on the direction of this company, its technology and stock? I think intelligent conversation would be a welcome change to those of us who invest with our heads and not our hearts.
Thank you,
I hear you. I thought your comment pertained to possible EDIG shorts, and those in my opinion are most likely covered.
friendlyfred,
My point was that only naked shorts would need to cover. Shorts that are covered would only need to buy back if they thought the price had bottomed, not because of the new short rule.
friendlyfred,
I believe the new rule pertains to naked shorting. An entity owning shares, options or warrants wouldn't have a naked position.
CDR,
Having sold most of your shares at $22 you must have done quite well. Would you mind sharing which investments you think are good?
TIA
arkieboy1,
We are the market for this stock. I can't say that I'm surprised by the bid/ask. The boards have been negative.
"Clearly you are under-estimating content and support cost. Over a year, it could easily exceed the unit cost on a per rental basis. So you should probably double the BE number to 608.".
Clearly? Please tell us what qualifies you as an expert. Only someone who works in production or distribution could see that "clearly."
Also, there is no statement in the press release that the order will be spread over five years. It states the following:
APS’ digEplayer 5500 will continue to provide portable in-flight entertainment (IFE) to Alaska Airlines passengers for at least the next five years. Customer acceptance and demand, durability, ease of distribution, and quality of picture and sound were cited as the criteria by which the innovative system was selected..
friendlyfred,
I think you’re right. Alaska said they would purchase up to 6000 additional units. I didn’t read any time frame for the purchase. It could happen in months or years. The five year time frame pertains to the length of time that Alaska will carry the platform.
San Diego, CA – February 10, 2004) – e.Digital Corporation (OTC: EDIG) today announced expanded orders of APS’ digEplayer™ by Alaska Airlines. After the successful ‘beta’ test of APS’ e.Digital powered digEplayer 5500, Alaska has agreed to purchase up to 6,000 additional units. e.Digital expects to realize several million dollars in revenue over the next five years from the APS/Alaska Airlines orders through initial sales of the units, refurbishment fees and other services.
APS’ digEplayer 5500 will continue to provide portable in-flight entertainment (IFE) to Alaska Airlines passengers for at least the next five years. Customer acceptance and demand, durability, ease of distribution, and quality of picture and sound were cited as the criteria by which the innovative system was selected.
wolfpackvoltare,
That may have been your experience. Mine was very different. I've had dealings with Walter on three separate occasions. With me he acted quickly to resolve my problems. On one occasion he couldn't fix my player and sent me a new one over night at no charge to me.
It's only fair to say that you speak for yourself.
JMHO
murrayhill,
Thank you for posting that information. Hopefully it will put to rest some of the negative specualtion about off shore shorting.
Regards,
It means exactly what I said. EDIG is not a household name. If You wish to know market sentiment read these boards.
friendlyfred,
The market for EDIG is right here on the message boards.
JMHO
techwashere,
I've read your post over the years, and for at least the last 4 you've been unhappy with your investment in e.Digital. I assume you still own shares because of the frequency of your posts.
What happened?
The revenues for this quarter won't be reported until the end of June. The quarter ending March 31 is part of the year end 10K. EDIG will have 90 days from the end of this quarter to report.
Looks like short selling.

A significant amount of thought
goes into the ordering of the selections on an album. Yet most people buy them for only a few of the songs. Thus the reason for compilation albums.
MaryinRed,
You may think my remark condescending, but in my opinion it's true. I had a chance to watch her interact with a substantial shareholder. Her lack of diplomacy and common sense was a real turn off. When it came to shareholders and management she adopted the "us against them" philosophy which permeated the company and really isn't in keeping with good IR.
She may be a wonderful person outside the office, but as an IR/marketing person she wasn't worth much. Of course that's my opinion, which I'm entitled to.
Happy Holidays!
Maryinred,
I met her and was not impressed. In fact I tthought she was a liability.
That is just my opinion. I respect yours.
murrayhill,
What about the receptionist. Have we followed up on her? LOl!
Get real man! You can do better than that...I think.
Maryinred,
Your question is very simple, and I've read nothing into it. My question is also very simple. If don’t wish to elaborate that’s fine. I'll live. As for the CFO, maybe he got a better job. That’s a plausible answer. EDIG had just suffered Collier’s promise the world and delivered nothing campaign, nothing but debt that is.
MaryinRed,
I don't think my perspective is odd at all. The departure of upper level management carries much more weight. Wendy may have been a wonderful person, but what she brought to the company was not unique.
Your concern piqued my curiosity.
MaryinRed,
What did Wendy have that made her important to the company? I thought she was a secretary who got promoted to mid-level management.
lickily,
It would be apropriate to add that EDIG's revenue cycle wouldn't correspond to one of a consumer electronics company. It was mentioned in the last webcast that royaties wouldn't be booked this Q.
JimC2003,
Management is a singular noun. Your predecessor knew this. He was a master of the English language.
Come to think of it...Capone and Moran knew this too. I don't know about Weiss or Nitti.
acrazjo,
Many posters are concerned about the S3 filing. I'm not sure why. Isn't it a given that it will happen?
What am I missing?
TIA,
chwdrhed,
It means there is a 5.5% spread between the bid and ask.
Cassandra,
The Soviet Union was gainst such exploitation, but the is the good ole USA. It's called capitalism.
It may be that you're giving too much credit to Falk's businees prowess and not enough to the technology.
Have a great weekend!
