Guyana passed a law in 2005 that miners must wear gloves and a mask when handling mercury. They are also slapped with a steep fine if caught. I guess old habits are hard to kick.
Interesting flick
More new photos of mining site.

I emailed David Smith with the same question. Here was his answer.
During his campaign, Ollanta Humala pledged to respect the constitutional
rights of all stakeholders and to continue encouraging commercial
development in Peru along with seeking fair treatment for the various
economic groups therein. Time will tell how all of this will play out,
but many analysts believe that he will model his government's
business-related policies along the lines of Brazil's past President, Lula
de Silva.
Our company is prepared to operate within the parameters outlined by the
Peruvian governmental policies previous to, and as they play themselves
out, post-election.
Thank you for your interest in GoldSands Development Company

Do your own DD. I am not an information source for you. Look it up and learn for yourself.
Unofficial count gives Humala narrow win in Peru
LIMA, Peru – Unofficial results showed leftist military man Ollanta Humala narrowly winning Sunday's bitterly contested presidential runoff against the daughter of disgraced former President Alberto Fujimori after promising the poor a greater share of Peru's mineral wealth.
With your theory that would explain "the "authorization" to issue more shares at some future date."
Swieki is there because he knows first hand there is plenty of gold.
Rafal Swiecki,a successful world renown geologist that specializes in alluvial gold would not be spending his time here if there was not another success story to write about. When the overburden and upper gravels are cleared by the test mining there will be dredgers. Swiss Mining will move on to clear another site that has been exploritory test drilled. The question is: Will there be a partnership or rental agreement with the dredgers?
So you think the gold has been sucked up by the clams? And now we need to harvest the clams for the gold? LOL
I e-mailed David Smith about the meeting they had on the increased shares. He stated: "That just refers to the "authorization" to issue shares at some future
date - if, not because of any current intention to do so."
It just gives them the option to do so if necessary.
$2,145 per day is excellent considering the current test mining site is being prepped for full scale mining utilizing dredgers. Not only are they not out of pocket for these land clearing expenses, they are getting paid for it.
Does this help you see the Big Picture donP?
They are averaging about 1.43 oz of gold per day from test mining.
= $2,145 per day at $1,500 troy oz.
Three new photos of test mining.

Good advice donP! I think I will sink more money into GSDC.
When you call everyone an idiot it helps when you don't spell like one. "bury" not "burrie"

Welcome Doc to our group.
Your opinion is food for thought.
I am filling in for 55 Chevy until he decides to return.
Don't worry about our money, worry about yours. Everyone here understands RISK = big return or big loss. That is why we are here. Go somewhere else Chicken Little. The sky is not falling here.

He seems to be a world renowned expert in the field of alluvial gold mining.
Another step closer for full scale mining.

And I am pretty sure you are don.perroni from the Yahoo Board. Don't bring your s$%t here. Everyone is fed up with your ignorant behavior on Yahoo. Moderator please check out his stupidity on GSDCE Yahoo.
from the 10Q Ending March,31 2011 Dated May,16 2011
"The principle objective of our planned exploration and development program is to bring a dredge and appropriately matched floating plant onto the property to assist us in conducting trial mining tests which requires that we undertake the following actions:"
"Permitting is anticipated to be initiated as early in the exploration and development cycle as possible, so that trial or pilot dredging can be started as soon as feasibility has been established."
Using a daily average they should have test mined at least an additional 55 troy oz. + 30 troy oz. = 85 x 1481.80 = $125.953
(30% GSDC $37,785.90) (70% Swiss Mining $88,167.10) Leaving a balance of $336.832.90 to Swiss mining. The percentage changes to (50/50) after the balance is paid in full.
Last stock that I was involved with that had a SEC investigation lasted about 3 or 4 months and they were cleared of all charges.
"We have not undertaken any efforts to locate a joint venture participant. Even if we determine to pursue a joint venture participant, there is no assurance that any third party would enter into a joint venture agreement with us in order to fund exploration of the properties underlying our mineral property interests. If we enter into a joint venture arrangement, we would likely have to assign a percentage of our interest in our mineral property interests to the joint venture participant."
I donot believe for one second they have not undertaken efforts to locate a joint venture otherwise they would not have brought it up.
1. They changed their name to match up with IHC Merewede's Technology."GSD Technology (or Gold Sands Development Technology)"
2.They are describing the terms of the deal. " we would likely have to assign a percentage of our interest in our mineral property interests to the joint venture participant"
3.They are test mining/clearing an area now for dredgers to operate in the near term.
Giving Swiss Mining a little head start I think we can work behind them. I don't think Swiss Mining will work the dredgers.
I am waiting for an announcement concerning a partnership agreement or rental agreement from IHC Merewede for dredgers.
The company’s objective at the start of 2010 was to sell 12 IHC Beaver dredgers and a custom-built dredger. However, it slightly exceeded forecasts and actually sold 13 IHC Beaver dredgers and a custom-built cutter suction dredger.Product development also remained a strong focus for IHC Beaver Dredgers. It achieved the goal of developing and testing a new model – the IHC Beaver 40? – for delivery in early 2011. Work also started on the IHC Beaver 65DDSP?(Direct Driven Submerged Pump). IHC Beaver Dredgers also entered the market with the rental option for IHC Beavers.
I think I am barking up the wrong tree with this theory.
The two videos that I supplied earlier were also uploaded by swiss mining in Feb.10,2009. Barrington Global Resources Ltd. is a Swiss Company also.Their logo is:"Mining with a difference".

Makes me wonder if this video was a Goldsands Development Company test hole dug back in 2009.
Jungle cleared and overburden removed to reach the gold. Seems to be a test dig.

The potential for GSDC is more than incredible. A 178 sq miles of gold sands property that will take decades to mine with a potential of a 150 million oz +. According to drill results the deeper they mine the more concentrated the gold is. From what I have read they still have not established a bottom to how deep the gold sands go.
Play it again sam.
29.9 troy oz. x approx. $1,500 = $44,850 test mining for 19 days
Will this be the week for announcing the first results of the test mining? Buy now at bargain prices.
That means they know the test results are going to be excellent.
These filing dates are 4/12/11, 4/14/11 and 4/19/11.
Keep dreamin' 1option. The stock is still up 33% since your last post.
My guess would be a filing that the SEC picked up on. Until the discrepency is corrected the E will stay. Just a wild guess.
I have not a clue. Later in the year when I visit the site standing there looking at the lay of the land would I be able to answer that question.
