I'm interested in price action, moving averages, and two indicators; here MACD and STO.
When they all line up we've got a trend. Sometimes 3 of 4 will do.
TREND1, What do you make of the two TNA charts in the following iBox:

Long, short, or flat?
Not yet!
Strong move higher today. . .a very bullish month.
How much longer before a pullback? No sign yet.
Those charts require a machete!
;)
The title of this board has changed to: CHARTS: $SPX, TNA, and AAPL.
If you're away from your desktop computer (. . .if you still use one of those) you can display your active screen, change things, etc. as the desktop applications display on your iPhone or iPad.
All must be on the same local network.
So, one can go from room to room, floor to floor, into the backyard, garage, etc. with, e.g., your active desktop charts on you iPhone or iPad, and click on the desktop, etc.

TREND1, have you seen Splashtop for the iPad and iPhone?

$SPX, TNA, and AAPL all turned Up this AM.
See hourly charts above.
AAPL Hourly turned Down yesterday.
. . .and continues Down today.
See: http://investorshub.advfn.com/boards/board.aspx?board_id=19845
AAPL Hourly turned Down yesterday.
. . .and continues Down today.
$SPX and TNA Hourly turned Down yesterday.
. . .and continue Down today.
Nothing's more important for decisions to go long, short, or flat, than price action and moving averages, in that order.
Watch TZA turn Down.

It's wonderful!
I especially like iCloud and Siri.
No issues, nothing to dislike; all the usable power I need.
I doubt if it took more than three minutes to setup.
Stopped by an Apple store yesterday in the east bay to help a friend find a case for her first iPhone and first AAPL product. The store was packed with a long line outside for people wanting iPhones. I wonder if everyone there got what they wanted?
How's it going for you?
My 4G Touch is presently connected to the cloud.
My iPhone 4S is "out for delivery" today.
The Touch which has 24 Gigs of data, apps, etc. took overnight to update to iOS 5.
iPad 2 gets the same treatment later this day.
I'm pretty sure "Siri" can do that. I'll give it a try.
My iPhone 4S has shipped based on email early AM today.
I have not backtested this chart. My attention is on what is happening at the moment when I'm in a trade.
I'm in and out as time permits. And as you know I strive to follow the trend and stay on the right side of the market. I've never captured every move or even, say, 98% of a single move. I typically try to grab middle chunks.
The biggest problem for me is managing the emotional chatter the market participants, including myself, generates.
The longer time frame charts do not require as much attention as the shorter ones, but with volatile positions like TZA and these times one is at considerable increased risk if one only trades daily charts. I've looked at that and it won't work for me. I don't sleep well under those conditions.
I want to keep my charts simple and practical and avoid a jungle of lines and indicators. Price action means everything.
Although daily charts are certainly worth checking, one can improve the chance of a profitable trade by using intraday charts, especially those 15 min to 2 hours in length, since TZA is so reactive, and often moves up, down, or turns quickly.
For instance:
http://stockcharts.com/h-sc/ui?s=TZA&p=60&yr=0&mn=1&dy=0&id=p34469230584
AAPL up 15.42 at this time!
S&P futures strong, up 14 points at this time, as finance ministers and German and French government heads plan to recapitalize some Eurozone banks.
TNA headed lower?

Climbing has its risks. Descending is riskier.
My iPhone 4S is scheduled to arrive on the 14th.
I'll be continuing on Verizon.
We'll remember Steve Jobs, his life, passion, and accomplishments forever.
It must have been very difficult for the Apple Team to do the iPhone 4S / iOS 5 presentation yesterday knowing what was near.
A very sad day, yet thankful for all that he did, his enthusiasm, vision, focus, and many contributions to our times.
I agree. Smart move!
Keep tooling costs down. . .
And, what will developers produce with the new Siri technology?
I'm tuned in to the features, improvements, processor, OS, etc. The 4S vs 5 stuff is not that important, IMO.
I'm looking at hands on reports.
Chances are I'll buy.
Might the phone icon "1" mean one phone that works on all networks, worldwide?
A reasonable speculation. . .
My early impression is the Kindle Fire will sell very well.
It will be a strong #2.
We'll know more in 6 months to a year.
I have no intention of dumping my iPad 2.
I call this my "Watch the Ropes" chart:

Be flexible, use good judgment, take risks aimed to win.
