dont listen to any message board posts in making your decision. edig tried to make their nut 3 yrs ago by promoting their tech. for secure music downloads. their tech would have facilitated the use of multiple music formats (when it looked like more formats than just mp3 and WMA would be the available) and multiple digital rights management systems. it did not pan out and the music industry is still hoping free music downloads can be stamped out through lawsuits (its not working). The only hope for edig is that their tech. (Micro-os) will help with the integration of additional features in portable devices (like SRS WOW or voice navigation), or with digital rights management for multiple video formats. This is a real long shot and the company is only paying the bills through selling shares for ever decreasing amounts. read the PRs and only risk money you can affoed to loose.

i understand part of the cost of a CD. Distribution is a HUGE part. The music industry does take advantage of new artists however i liken the developement of music talent to the developement of a new drug. The music/drugs cost alot b/c that cost subsidizes the high risk nature of the business (for every band that makes it dozens do not).

it is disturbing when even the people who run Investorhub want to see the stock value go down. what is so strange about actual investors in a stock wanting to dicuss its potential without agenda driven non-shareholders. I have no idea why they post here except out of bitterness about the loss of their investments value. take a look around. even stocks like GE are off by over 50% from last year. you cant say the whole tech sector has taken off and left edig in the dust. cassandra has been posting for years (used to use the handle "shhhhh" over on silicone investor).

Daboss-The o-1000 looks good and the digitalway version. the eclipse deal looks good. the IFE is a different story. the one man company/Alaska Airlines baggage handler(APS) looks REAL BAD imo.

i am leaning to good news because the notice was short (usually several days notice on previous conf. calls) and they just sold shares last week. I figure if they were really about to go chapt. 11 they would have tried to sell more shares for whatever they could get. Also, i assume the buyers of these shelf shares know more than we do and would not buy the shares if bad news was so imminent. Those shares would be as worthless as ours in that case.

EDIG could file chapt 11 or introduce a new OEM. I am prepared for either.

sadly shareholders are the last to find out about bad news in most companies and edig is no different. i am watching for higher volume and a 9-10c.pp as a sign to bail as i feel all those shelf shares will begin to sell of hard. todays action may have been some shelf shares actually being sold.

so they are risk takers. i dont think edig is mearly a pump and dump scheme so woody norris can pay off his friends in stock they then sell and kickback a % to him. the company has some viable tech. that could be valuable.

so they sold more shares. duh. i think we know from the financials they will HAVE to do this. I think we also know from reviews like the CNET and business 2.0 that they have a viable product. Risky...you bet but there is some subatance here.

Moxa1- at least we have some independant confirmation that the e.digital Odyssey 1000 is not a POS. As a long i take comfort in that and realize that if edig makes $100 a unit X 1000 order that would equal $100,000 and that the burn rate is now about 200K/mo. With good reviews like that edig has a chance to sell quite a few. Sooner or later the production will become more consistant when the demand is demonstrated. I hink we are demonstrating it right now.

If the Odyssey 1000 can help cover the burn rate maybe some of these other products will help bring up the PPS by adding some real punch.

so, Cassandra, what you are saying that is after waiting for 4 years for the RIAA to get its act together and in the process almost going bankrupt (not to mention us being harassed by you), edig should now continue to wait for them when their technological familiarity cant even prevent their own website from being hacked (because they employ inexperienced webmasters).

gernb1-AMAZING! after all these years the RIAA still has no clue when it comes to technology. No wonder they have not been able to implement a realistic web strategy. they deserve to lose their business profits to downloaders.

all the high end car audio shops i have seen (even on in my poor little connecticut town) have the eclipse by fujitsu ten banner up. the aftermarket is no joke.

cool! day/momo traders got burned & are selling off. they thought the financials would be better or news would come and bought in (in my opinion). The review may have helped the pop.
at any rate i'm in for the long term and will buy more when it bottoms out at around .18c./share.

i hope its people buying who read the positive review but experience tells me its day and momentum traders hopping on for a few cents gain. i think we'll need to get a few quarters of very good revenue before we see any real gains that stick.

daytraders are pumping it up today. we'll see where they jump off. i hope we hold .20c!

if edig makes it nobody can say longs did not earn it. i started out with 9000 shares in May of '99 and now have 142500 shares and like many of the familiar longs here have certainly taken some lumps. The CNNfn review is good by any measure. good luck to all TRUE longs.
