there were two videos shown after the general promo: one a never before seen version of his "Walk on Water" video, released to us by WB for this event only, and the new video, which has also never been seen, or the song heard, publicly. We then played the whole yet-to-be-released album "Round the Bend".
The parent company is a US company, though our servers are currently in Canada. Second Life servers are in California and Texas.
The facts are:
a) real world or virtual world doesn't matter, Linden Dollars are freely tradable for USD and back, as well as with other global currencies. The only reason L$ is not regarded as a legal tender is the US Govt chooses to not treat it that way. I earn my living off this business, as my staff earns a part of their livings also. I have take home pay, I declare income to the IRS. I pay taxes.
b) This is the bleeding cutting edge of technology, get over it and join the 21st century why dont you. This site should have a section for virtual exchanges and their listed companies.
c) Neither BNT, nor ACE, nor VStarr Marketing are the same company as VStarr Corp OR ADCS. Its as off topic to talk about ACE on the ADCS board as anything, so claiming I should go to that board is against the rules.
BNT is publicly traded on the Ancapistan Capital Exchange. We IPO'd in May of 2007 on the World Stock Exchange.
ADCS market cap is bouncing around $300k-$400k US these days, about twice the market cap of BNT. So tell me again, how ADCS qualifies for this board but mine does not?
I Capn, BNT Holdings isn't a 'micro' business. In fact we do more real world business than probably a lot of real world pink sheets. Our monthly revenues average around $15,000 US (actual amounts of USD and L$ that make up that total vary but the total is the same). We own 45 'sims' which have an auctionable real world value of $1,000 US each in and of themselves, and with full occupancy earn us a gross profit of $100-150 US per month, each, making them worth $2400-3300 US each.
BNT Holdings as the largest publicly traded virtual company has a market cap of approximately $200,000 US equivalent in Linden Dollars (L$). Ancapistan Capital Exchange's value reflects a good chunk of that.
The value of BNT therefore equals about half the value of ADCS on the Pinksheets, so tell me how my business is 'micro', again???
I'm sorry, I meant my board. There was no other related board preexisting
Well ACE is a stock on its own exchange, so it should have its own board too. Its evident some sneaky stuffs going on if they're going to delete boards that have absolutely nothing to do with ADCS.
I understand the desire for front loaded info. There were some issues of getting some sort of waiver signed up til monday morning, so Randy's name could not be disclosed until that happened. I'll ask Chris to see about getting something put on Randy's site about the event.
yes, ACE was running for 4-5 days then was taken down this past morning without warning or explanation. VSTARR was created today by another user, and its already dead. This appears to be blatant manipulation and restraint of trade. If the certain people can provide a valid and rational explanation for their actions, and can provide the proper place for discussions of virtual stocks on virtual exchanges, then thats one thing, but if they are trying to silence discussion of positive developments relating to a company they dont like, thats an entirely different legal ball of wax.
I would like to know why my Ancapistan Capital Exchange board was taken down without notice, warning, or explanation. It also appears the VSTARR board for VStarr Marketing Services (ACE:VSTARR) was taken down tonite without explanation. I thought the purpose of iHub was to discuss stocks, not censor stock talk that is on topic to the boards. Please provide an explanation for these actions. I paid for a premium membership, I expect service.
Actually the sim can hold 80 at a time. If you'd done your due diligence like some others here have done, you'd realize that with the help of Linden Lab, the four sim setup VSTarr currently has can be cloned into any number of identical setups. THis was what CSI:NY did, with over 400 sims, in 4 sim identical sets, to handle over 130,000 users in the first week.
This is a known capability, we at BNT work with Linden Lab very closely as we are one of their bigger customers and can have this done.
Now, beyond this info, I can also now confirm that there were executives from Walmart and Warner Brothers at the party tonite. They were very impressed with the party.
That being said, people do have a good point to demand some concrete answers from ADCS:
a) What percent ownership does ADCS have in the joint venture? I've heard 50/50, but theres been no official confirmation. Time to publish the joint venture agreement boys.
b) How much money is coming from Walmart and Warner Brothers? With them in attendance last night, and WB giving VStarr the exclusive premier on RANDY freakin TRAVIS' latest album and music video, its clear that things have reached an advanced stage and theres some sort of agreement of some kind for them to provide that kind of material. VStarr has the juice, its obvious to anybody with eyes to see. How much is that juice worth?
Inquiring minds want to know. Lets see a PR from WB and Walmart. ADCS can PR all it wants, the critics here aren't going to believe that. PR from WB and Walmart will silence all the dissers.
avatar count hit 68 at one point that I know of, tho there was a point where some VIPs couldn't get into the island.
Apparently the ACE board has been taken down without any notice to myself from the admins. This seems like blatant manipulation given its happening shortly before the VStarr party tonite.
Ya, I upgraded my graphics card from a geforce 5200 to a 7600, now maxed for the agp slot and the power capacity of my machine. Next step is a new machine. The 7600 allowed me to use a lot of the new shaders and other features. Windlight is great for photorealistic sky and sun, reflections etc.
Hi Scully, if you want to improve the rendering for photos, go to the edit menu, to preferences, to the graphics tab, and hit the 'advanced' or I think its 'custom' button. Then you can boost all the settings as much as your graphics card allows to improve the looks for photos.
Remember to turn them down again to move around, cause when you max out the graphic settings it really reduces your frame rate badly.
If you want to 'cam' around to get better viewing angles for shots, hold your ctrl alt buttons down and move your mouse around, this will pan your cam around. Returning to normal just releast the buttons and hit one of your arrow buttons.
I am not at liberty to say.
well yes, tho its purpose is to do real work for the real companies, in SL exclusively. We do make clear that the Linden Dollar is a fictional currency, and the company in IPO on ACE is a virtual company in a virtual world. You are exactly right in this respect.
As for the 'fantasy' and 'role playing', I dont see how thats much different from 99% of the stuff I hear from people around here.... lol
I should make clear to everyone who wishes to discuss the VSTARR Marketing Services IPO on ACE, or ACE itself, should discuss it on the Ancapistan Capital Exchange board here on iHub. We've now had the board here for a few days, and I think it would show respect for the IHub Terms of service that posts regarding non-ADCS topics should go there.

I wonder who are they,in real life???>>>>>Board of Directors
CEO - Leadership Jiagu
President - Ananti Jiagu
VP Marketing - Bethany Slade
Director - Minako Masala
Comptroller - IntLibber Brautigan
Director - Kaddan Yue
Director - John Menkes>>>
Thanks for asking. I'm of course the IntLibber listed here, my RL name is Mike Lorrey as my 2nd Life profile states openly. I live in New Hampshire and have no prior business affiliation with ADCS or any of its current or prior management or staff.
Leadership Jiagu = Chris McKenna
Ananti Jiagu = Sarah McKenna
Bethany Slade and Kaddan Yue are officers in BNT Holdings. We three are serving the investors interest as we also manage ACE. Minako Masala is one of VStarr Corps senior staff and John Menkes is a well known member of this board.
Yes I'm aware of that. I have known the VStarr people for going on 9 months now and have been a consultant in getting them up to speed on doing business in SL. I run the Ancapistan Capital Exchange as part of my main business, Brautigan & Tuck Holdings, in Second Life.
Argy said: "I have seen no ads/promotion/hype in-world concerning renting space in the mall. Where would that be and how much is rent anyway? If ADCS/V-Starr wants to utilize the full potential of the platform, I would expect them to get with the program, I just sayin"
From my dealings so far, mall space is mostly going to be offered to RL companies wanting SL presence, like Walmart. Exclusively SL companies that go into the mall will be hand picked by VStarr. For instance, I brought a very talented disabled veteran who builds animated guitars, to VStarr, and now Jakeson's Guitars are in the mall.
sounds good, throw me a tp then
The point of this is to not operate in SL on a third world economic mentality. If those others wanted to be there, they'd pay the rent to have access to those customers. They dont, so they aren't.
Do what again? Sell $75k worth of stock to increase company NAV b y $300k? Please oh please, do it to us again!!!
lol the virtual world is the stage is all, it allows people from all over the world to participate, and socialize, buy virtual merchandize, be exposed to the brands, etc, but from what I've seen, 90%+ of the applicants will see their submissions evaluated and voted on on the company website by the public, developing and maintaining that sort of website, providing customer service, etc takes office space, staff, etc. This is a lot more than just a 3D build and some virtual performers. They need to build that website to handle 10,000 contestant applicants, their audio submissions, and millions of hits in fan voting, fan forum commentary, etc, each month. This is HUGE.
Thats a fair point, but any time you put money into someone elses hands, its a matter of trust. If you dont trust the management, you shouldn't invest in the company. If you do trust the management, then backseat driving, monday morning quarterbacking, etc. its all presuming your still the boss of your money when its obvious you made someone else the boss of your money.
Well as I can tell, I dont see dilution, they bought a building for $300,000 and put out what? $75k worth of stock? So the net asset value went up four times more than the increase in OS. You guys should be happy as hell and buying more. I wish i'd gotten in today, but didn't was working all day. I'm only happy the shares went back down so I can finally buy some hopefully before it goes back up again.
I'm here in SL with Bud750, he's waving and saying hi! to everybody from the POW cells in the Merczateers military base in SL. Apparently someone ratted him out and they locked him up for safekeeping....... I need to figure out how to post pics here....
Yeah I agree with Ely, but over 40% of outstanding shares? there was a LOT of trading going on, I'm betting shares changed hands several times each on that sort of action. Heres what I think happened, you had some tag teaming going on here. Someone was trying to make the market today to squeeze more shares out of it by boosting volume at minimal cost to themselves via tag teaming.
Wow 100 million shares traded today? Thats huge, over 40% of shares outstanding? Thats massive churn. I'm looking forward to reading Abby's analysis today.
Yes Chris told me that as well, Blackmac, and said Venus is very happy at the name association, may even do brand promotion through VStarr's mall in SL.
For those who think I'm hyping ADCS, I'm not. I think everybody has every right to see some announcements out of ADCS about actual deals inked with the sponsors, a joint venture with VStarr, and to see some cash flow starting to happen.
I run my own virtual exchange in SL, and I'm known as a harda$$ in the SL investment community, so dont think for a minute I'd let these guys off either. However, being fair and balanced, dont expect me to be soft on those hedgers who are dissing the stock in order to pick it up cheap and dont believe their own BS. I've dealt with that kind of trader a lot too and frankly, they're a few rungs below politician, used car salesman, revival preacher, and MSM 'journalist' in honesty and integrity.
That said, I know Chris well enough to know that when he says he's going to do something, it gets done. Thats fine tho, dont believe me, keep trashing things, its your money. I'm always amused at people who buy a stock then immediately start trashing it like some irate soccer dad yelling at his kids coach.
Hi folks, my first post here. I'm the guy inworld that several of you spoke to the other night, who owns the inworld stock excange ACE and its parent company, BNT Holdings. I've known Chris McKenna and his wife since September, helped them both get oriented to SL, showed them how business is done inworld, pitfalls to watch out for (SL is even more wild west than the pink sheets in many respects), and have otherwise been a behind the scenes consultant to VStarr. I am available most days inworld (IntLibber Brautigan is my avatar name) for questions if you want an independent opinion of Chris and Sharon. I haven't met the management of ADCS yet, so can't comment on them directly, however I expect to do so soon. I wont go into further details so as to not digress from the topic of this board, but feel free to look me up.
I understand what it means to build something from nothing. BNT Holdings began a year and a half ago as an investment of $200 from my blog ad earnings, and is now easily worth $200,000.00 (yes, thats USD, not L$ like we use in SL). I also know what its like to get scammed, as that happens a lot in SL with the lack of accountability, its why I've always operated openly with my RL ID on my profile, and Chris and Sharon adopted this policy for similar reasons: its mandatory to earn trust.
It appears to me like a good number of folks feel they were badly scammed by prior management of ADCS, from looking at the history, this company's been traded around as a shell quite a bit in just a few years.
Thats really too bad. In SL, I've often been amused by the petty scams people pull. I've made tons more in profits operating legitimately than those losers ever did in their little crookery. I've often said theres always someone willing to sell their soul for 100 L$, its amazing what people will do for it.
My opinion about the current situation is that VStarr and ADCS have a real winner on their hands with this project. That is of course just an opinion. The proof is in the pudding, lets see some contracts and cash flow right? Thats a fair thing to expect.
I can state for a fact that Chris is doing a great job, and when he works on putting a deal together with some big muckity muck, he does what he means and says what he means. He got me an endorsement for my virtual race track in Teller region by the Indiana Motorsports Association, and theres other potential deals in the offing I can't talk about now.
I think he's done enough to earn some confidence from the folks here, as well as some breathing room. I plan on buying ADCS stock as soon as possible.
