Don’t know where Beryl’s money applies at UBS, but interesting story on UBS. From Market Watch
NEW YORK, Oct 02, 2008 (BUSINESS WIRE) -- The Boards of Directors/Trustees for the UBS U.S. Money Market Funds named below (the "Funds") on October 1, 2008, approved the participation of those money market funds in the U.S. Treasury's Temporary Guarantee Program. All of these Funds will apply to be covered under the program.
"We recognize the U.S. Treasury's actions to address what are believed to be temporary dislocations in the credit markets," said Kai Sotorp, Head Americas, UBS Global Asset Management. "While the UBS money market funds have maintained their $1 net asset value throughout the recent unprecedented turmoil and continued to meet their stated goals of capital preservation, liquidity and income, we are pleased to have the Funds participate in the U.S. Treasury's Temporary Guarantee Program to provide an added level of protection for covered shareholders." The Funds continue to operate normally, and maintain a stable net asset value of $1 per share.
Through this program, the U.S. Treasury will guarantee the share price of any eligible money market mutual fund--whether retail or institutional--that applies for and pays a fee to participate in the program. Eligible funds are those that are regulated pursuant to Rule 2a-7 under the Investment Company Act of 1940, have maintained a stable share price of $1, and are publicly offered and registered with the Securities and Exchange Commission. Shareholders will be covered for the value of shares they held in accounts in the participating money market funds as of the close of business on September 19, 2008.

An investment in the UBS US Money Market Funds is not insured or guaranteed by the Federal Deposit Insurance Corporation or any other government agency. Although the Funds seek to preserve the value of your investment at $1.00 per share, it is possible to lose money by investing in the Funds. Beryl's World last blog for Sept 19, said today... (17. We are still awaiting some finality on some of our financing deals.)
Good to see you all back...
Sorry guys, but I can’t help my self, but only to say, what great potential LNGT stock and LEI’s future is. After listing to Bob old message in 2007 on wall street.net http://www.wallst.net/audio/audio.php?id=3497 and reading the Washington Post article posted today September the 21st. The Senate has embraced last year's Defense Science Board conclusion that directed-energy weapons -- such as high-, medium- and low-power lasers -- hold great potential and should be developed as soon as possible. http://www.washingtonpost.com/wp-dyn/content/article/2008/09/21/AR2008092102432_pf.html This is not just a great stock but also a great cause AND a great Company. Way under valued AS OF NOW. They just needs enough $$$$ and that’s going to happen, and the defense part could be only 10 or 40 % of its potential. I am in for the long…
VERY POSITIVE READ and hopfull.
GOOD runny!
I would hope most would not think in the terms of msg #7509. (For one can be what is called pound foolish and penny wise.) Probably one would if one only had a penny stock mentality. I think LEI has a long term future, and not just in pennies. I think it’s on a path that wants to build a good company for its self and all it's investors. Just to double your money on a short whim and to think of getting an advantage on other investor’s, is only in it's self, self serving. I just keep buying as long as I believe in the company, and I just bought some more last week. And I don’t put all my eggs in one basket. But I hope some day, and it could be soon, who really knows, that I might see this penny stock 100 to a 1000 times or even more than what it was paid for.
Off to Alaska for a 2 week trip for a visit with number 3 Son who just came back from Iraq. We HOPE things are better $$$ when we return. http://biz.yahoo.com/prnews/080812/nytu091.html?.v=101
I haven't bought any since the 0.03, we will be doing just fine when this takes OFF (or dose not take off), but we believe it will, thank you D&J.
Thank you GAK. I've been in since the 0.10 to the 0.03 with much HOPE for LEI in the future. Hang tight D&J.
I HOPED for just one girl and ended up with 3 boys. That is His providence... And no!
HOPE IS A GOOD THING... Now FAITH is the substance of things HOPED for, the evidence of things not seen...(Heb11:1)
Who do you think are buying the shares people are selling? This board is not running LEI, Bob is. All should stop scaring the investors. The tail should not be trying to wag the dog. O ye of little faith. Just hang and wait. That's what I am doing.
Good point PTG, I See it this way. We are in a fish bowl right now and the big fish are out there in the fish pond. The fish pond is very full of stagnated water right now, all do to the Oil Gas and Home Financing problem. It has affected all companies, corporations ever were, and it has also affected us. All portfolios everywhere are down 20 / 70 % do to whatever there holding. Maybe it would be for the best not to have the bowl pored out at this time, at less till the water becomes a little clearer. This is only my opinion.
Do the math? If LEI has a market cap of 5.38M according to YAHOO FINANCE at 0.0450 a shear? http://finance.yahoo.com/q?s=LNGT.PK. And all this while LEI has patents up the kazoo on soled state air cool and also Alexandrite laser all costing over time, over 150M to develop? And they also are going to be receiving 12M in financing for shears, to developing more lasers to sell? Now do the Math? Don’t tell me this stock is going to be staying in the penny range much longer. I am off to Reno for a week of golf and will be hoping to see this stock moving higher and my golf score move lower. All this is only my opinion.
“Yes we are.” And we are hanging in for the long haul. We are way out west in California at the foothills of the Sierras 2 miles from the west bank of the feather river. We are sure glad that spring is here. Our youngest boy is in IRAQ, a staff sergeant and flight engineer on a CH-47 heavy lift chopper. We have two older married boys, four grand kids, one is married and three in college two will graduate this year. I might not post very much, only if I see something, so hang tuff. My Golfing neighbor buddy is even in for over 300 k , I have only been in since December 2007.
We had a visit from Bob Battis, Zonny and Amy Lerum for Laser Energetics and for Big Bang Entertainment. Bob is making great progress with his incredible laser products. He has also created a beautiful CD/DVD called Star Spangled American Society.
