Managed to dump mine at triple 0 4 at a small loss....
GLTA
It gets mighty quiet around here when the price is falling....
Ken,
I agree and don't think Sue is just a pumper. I think she has relayed just what the company has said. If you listen to the interview on wallstreet.net Joe promised increased revenues, which they did not deliver.
The purpose of this company is laudable; however I think they put too much faith in their purpose and not enough in their business model. The bottom line is no matter what their business, they are a publicly traded company and should at least acknowledge they are in business to make money and not rake-over shareholders.
Clay,
Let me know as soon as your DVD's are ready.....
I want to let everyone here know that at the encouragement of my friend pennies2007 I have started learning TA and charting. Today I made my "maden voyage" trading based strictly on TA and closed the day up 20% (a first for me!).
A big THANKS to pennies for all your help!
Seems that I remember somewhere reading and even in the interview with wallstreet.net Joe saying revenues were going to be up this quarter. I also remember something of a promise of significent news. Obviously neither has materalized.
I know you have close contact with management, however can you really trust what they tell you after all this? Maybe the so-called big "news" will pull this one out for us.
Doesn't look good for EPGL does it?
I thought they indicated revenues were up for this quarter. Looks like to be they are down and expenses are up.
Correct me if I am wrong?
Hey Pennies,
Take a look at DE this morning!
I think this will give me my 3 day bid above .90 that I have been looking for.
Congrats to all!
Thanks for the opinion Joe. It makes a lot of sense.
Actually I was just joking about the shirt and shoes, but hey if it would push us over a buck....LOL
As inexperienced as I am at trading I don't put a lot of stock in the daily woops and woos of the price. I would like to see the bid stay above .90 for 3-4 days then I would feel really good about a move up.
As you mentioned fear, uncertainy and doubt can come from a message board, especially for inexperienced traders like me. However emotions oppsite those can also come from a message board. I know I have a lot of respect for the ability and opinions of many on here, you included. It took a while for me to sort out excited chatter from the real DD and opinions that matter.
Just so everyone knows, I like the company and management and have all the faith in the world this is going to be a good investment in the long run. Also I am not foolish enough to put all my eggs in one basket.
Okay....so what should I post about tonight? Maybe that Ron's shirts don't match his shoes? That should put us over a buck tomorrow!
Mine was showing .93 x.949 then 2 5K hits at .949 and the ask dropped to .94?
2 5K hits on the ask and it drops?
Please explain that to me.
Maybe I should post more often if it has this effect...LOL
The only reason I could see for a PR involving a trade show would be if there were going to unveil a new and innovative product that had not been previously announced at that show.
Normally companies make announcements about booths and such at trade shows on their web sites, such as See You at OTC '08 Booth #XXX. This allows people with interest to easily find them.
Trueheart thanks for clarifying what I was trying to say yesterday. I guess I was having a bad day and couldn't put together coherent sentences. I am sure if an investor called DDI and asked to tour the “campus” they would be polite but have a good laugh after they hung up the phone.
As for the products developed and produced, if you look back I even called them genius. However some of their development is not done in a research lab. Steve Haag even stated how amazing it was to watch a Ron Smith idea go from a sketch on a napkin to final production in the shop. I can relate to that because some of the best ideas I have had for my company were born while on my tractor.
I would much rather see them with what they have; modest buildings suited for the purpose they serve. If they were spending a lot of money on flash it might make me wonder.
Regarding the OTC Conference, I went to the OTC ‘08 web site and did a vendor search and DDI didn’t show up. Although that was clarified and corrected with other list and even pictures posted by others, I think I had a valid question. Nothing wrong with asking, and I appreciate those that answered.
I still don’t understand why we are having such a hard time breaking the .90 resistance and staying above. With all the good things the company is doing like development, acquisitions, especially revenue growth and exposure I would think the stock would be in demand. Maybe it is because I am just an inexperienced investor that I don’t understand, but I have talked with other more experienced people that express the same sentiment. If someone can explain it I would truly appreciate it.
Sulphur,
I wasn't putting you down for your choice of words. You are free to call it whatever you want. Who am I to correct you?
My point is, sometimes the company is made out on here to be more than what it is unless there is something I am missing.
Actually it is pretty entertaining to see how carried away some of us get with DDI from time to time.
I will go back to my corner and keep my mouth shut now.
Thanks to all for the good information and GLT everyone.
I haven't sold brikk...but I will when the time is right.
You made my point exactly. If any poster is not cheerleading the company then they are the south end of a northbound mule.
My other point is, discussion is just that...pro or con. I brought out a point about the OTC booth and stand corrected. That is what this board is for, not just to always cheer the company along to all the readers.
As for my observation of the facility, I have WORKED in the oil patch and never have I ever heard a facility called a "campus". It either the shop or the yard even the major companies refer to their shop or yards as just that. But this goes to the crux of my point, why, with all the good news, product development, increased revenues, acquisitions and other good things about this stock, is it having such a hard time breaking resistance?
I am sure my stake in the company is small compared to most of you guys here, but percentage wise of riskable dollars it is probably much higher.
I can assure you I wasn't looking the wrong way....
Just stating that their facility in not any more impressive than many others around it. Did you notice across the road from them the shop with waterfront access with about 10 barges docked at their docks; or the one a little further to the south with multiple 150' cranes?
I am NOT bashing DDI at all....I just think sometimes we get a little carried away with enthusiasm about the company.
There are several reasons I didn't stop. The main one being I was headed to a trade show and didn't have time. Also it was right at 5:00 PM and I didn't want to impose on anyone getting off work.
As for the facility, it is not impressive but doesn't mean what goes on inside is not. I think some of the products they have developed are more than impressive, closer to downright genius if you understand what they do and how they work.
I will reinterate what I said; I am concerned we can't break through the resistance levels we have been at for some time now. I am not saying in the long term this won't be a profitable stock because it will. What I am saying is that with all the developments, growth and real details of this company it should be worth a lot more than is reflected in the PPS.
I would think if they are there they would be listed....
I suppose it could be a mistake, however if they are trying to have as large a presence as indicated by Mr. Haag I would think they would rectify not being listed as an exhibitor immediately.
Also there is no mention on DDI web site of "See You AT OTC '08"?
I have liked this company and the stock for a while now, but am growing a little concerned that we can't break resistance with the PPS.
I happened to pass by their place in Channelview last Friday, although I didn't stop in. Their shop, not a "campus", looks just like a thousand other shops along that area.
The fundimentals look good for the company, however as with most all Over The Counter companies, they all have a good story.
I thought Deep Down, Inc. was an exhibitor at OTC? Here is a list directly from OTC website. I don't see them listed.

DR might not fill anybody at 5, but if you look at L2, all the MM's below $1.00 are primairly retail. The institutional MM's like WEED and DR are all above buck and a half....
I think this does mean something.
Yes, that was one of them....they had at least 3 different deep water ships. Two pipe layers and a drill ship.
Did anyone see the documentary on Deep Water Drilling on The Science Channel last night? They were showing the products DDI makes being installed and in use. As a matter of fact, some of the graphics they used to illistrate how the control lines were attached to the well heads were almost identical to the ones in the Ibox. I tried to look closely to see if any DDI items were identifiable but I didn't see any.
I am sure they will run that show again this weekend.
Could be architects or engineers looking over facilities to design plans for expansion? Or maybe finance people looking over collateral? Just my thoughts by the way they are looking around in the shot outside the building.
But then again it could be one of the big oil companies looking to see if they have the capacity to manufacture the multi-million dollar contract they have in that folder one of them is holding.
OK, so now we are trading in 3 dollar blocks? WTH? <EOM>
I really don't think that contract announcements will be necessary to see some increase. Just the verification of increased revenues is enough. Even though we expected that, this confirms the company was on track just as they said.
If anyone actually looked at the fundimentals of this company and what they are doing they would see true value there. Management may be old school when it comes to the market but they are cutting edge on technology and what they are doing. For example continuing education online for doctors is a huge item. I own a technology company that services many doctor offices and I understand what this is and what it means to the doctors.
Anything else like contracts is just gravy. All IMO.
Looks like increased revenue along with anticipated contracts with other military branches in May and June!
As long as Sue keeps posting her pictures I guess I will stay in EPGL!
The pressure is building....gonna blow the lid off! LOL
I have 1 on the bid at .0008 and 6x.0009 on the ask
The whole market today has been like watching grass grow. I guess the switch to daylight savings has everyone lathargic.
My L2 just showed another 1.75 hitting the tape for 500
Looks like a little interest this morning!
Spooky,
I own an Internet company and we have a web site/hosting division. I have to agree, the new site has good content but the presentation is pretty boilerplate/front page template stuff.
Take a look at the references on the new and improved web site....
You don't get people to allow you to use this information by not doing an exceptional job for them!
Don't forget the other jewel in the crown...
http://www.makotechnologies.com/
The site is up....just takes a minute to load...flash and all that....
From the site:
ElectroWave USA sold 5 Machinery Plant Control and Monitoring Systems (MPCMS) to 3 different customers almost simultanously. The MPCMS system allows the operators of the vessel to reduce manning requirements by integrating all of the machinery controls and monitoring systems into one. The MPCMS reduced the number of crew on one vessel by more than 50%, allowing the USCG to allocate personel to more critical areas.
ElectroWave USA's largest MPCMS system consists of over 5000 points, consisting of hard wired sensors, contacts, and data over industrial protocols such as Ethernet, Modbus, and Profibus. We have integrated systems such as Fire, Flooding, Ballast, Fueling, Bridge, Propulsion, Engines, HVAC, Deck Machinery, Air Systems, Emergency Generators, Lighting, and more, into one system. An entire vessel can now almost be operated from one station by a very minimal crew.
Below you'll find some screen shots from our MPCMS that is currently in use on the United States Coast Guard Ice Breaker Mackinaw, check back often for when they are posted!
