speaking of 4g, here is the new 4g iphone. according to the article, apple isn't too happy this got out. an amazing story. apparently some apple exec left it in a bar. take a look:
http://techcrunch.com/2010/04/19/iphone-hd-4g/
http://gizmodo.com/5520164/this-is-apples-next-iphone
here is the story about how it got lost, and found
http://gizmodo.com/5520438/how-apple-lost-the-next-iphone
its got very significant traffic. its not at all unlikely some bigger fish will want it
major accumulation today. I added 0002s, 0003s could get interesting soon after the breakout volume that hit today
dollar volume again increased today, more accumulation by somebody big enough to buy here and hold
I compared the stats on a site I happen to know the traffic count on and compete underreported the traffic by a wide margin..
so I'm willing to believe that hypster is doing what it says its doing...
this could be good
over a billion now
its definitely growing according to the stats at compete.com
http://siteanalytics.compete.com/hypster.com/
I don't always find they have an accurate headcount at compete, but the site is definitely showing rapid growth by an external metrics company analysis
I've been in this forever. so long that I practically forgot I had it. is something starting to happen?
over 30 here.... unfortunately had even more, over 40, and sold some flat at 0002.. figured maybe I had too much, then tried to buy it back and it got too expensive too fast.
that's the problem on these... sell too early and you can never get back your original position.
there must be 100s of thousands of restaurants in the US alone. I know some franchises have 10 or 15,000 stores. Anyone know how big the market is for this product?
that's a huge number with only 300 boardmarks
.01 has some resistance on the chart, so you're right. first things first. but depending on volume and investor expectations .001 to .01 is a move several former .000s have made recently. HPNN, SKGO, GOIG, UCSO, SVMI to name a few.
HPNN recently did it
SKGO recently did it
GOIG did it
UCSO did it
SVMI did it
I've made that mistake before, in fact I just recently made that mistake on HMIT by selling early at 0006s... and after so much of the shares were bought and held by longer term investors it had no problem moving into 001s friday 0012- 0013 range.
So on this one I decided not to do the 'smart' thing. But rather hold it all on this one because a huge amount of accumulation happened friday, and whoever was buying over a billion shares just didn't want to sell.
so who knows? we'll see what happens but there was a lot of capital put into this one friday, and I figure whoever was doing the buying won't just be happy with an uptick or two. the chart squeeze here has too much room overhead for that.
we'll see
good luck to all
it got accumulated almost fully this week
still holding
still holding, amazing accumulation this week
even if it closes 0007 or higher, you're probably right... since its been churning at 0006 most of the day, they'll have some T trades to post after market likely
Huge accumulation!!
been there many times, now if anything I make the mistake of buying and holding too long at times..
hard to be perfect!
2 billion shares bought and held this week, what is the share structure here?
fyi, I've see it a hundred times. won't do anything to affect the open. you'll see.
it won't. I'll bet a starbuks on that one... or maybe a year's supply. lol
IVOI chart, an easy one for when you get back :)
10 day
http://bigcharts.marketwatch.com/quickchart/quickchart.asp?symb=ivoi&sid=0&o_symb=ivoi&freq=7&time=18
and a 3 year
http://bigcharts.marketwatch.com/quickchart/quickchart.asp?symb=ivoi&sid=0&o_symb=ivoi&freq=2&time=10
T trades from during the day at 0006... I saw lots of resistance at 0006 probably from back over a year ago on the chart, but once it broke through that level set up the strong close at 0009
very nice chart squeeze seems to have been set up by the turnaround story on this one...
amazingly strong so far
001s very likely at the open
wow, what a close!
still in, still holding. wow
chart> you have to go back a couple of years on the chart to see what might happen on a true turnaround story if it starts to squeeze on large volume
http://bigcharts.marketwatch.com/quickchart/quickchart.asp?symb=IVOI&sid=0&o_symb=IVOI&freq=2&time=10
well its from previous experience... I've been around a long time and I've never seen a RS on something with this small of a share structure... so its easy to assume the intent is to wipe out all existing shareholders.. its pretty hard to conclude anything else. particularly since its COMPLETELY UNNECESSARY. They could dilute probably even more succesfully, and net more revenue from selling new shares into the float after a 1 for 10, or 1 for 100.. or no RS at all.. its actually going to complicate things for them going this far out of their way to make sure the few existing shareholders left are wiped out, because its going to be hard to rebuild enough liquidity and volume to sell shares into with nearly a zero float, and angry existing shareholders in the public float upset for a LONG time about what they did...
It keeps going up, I keep holding... I don't really have any clue why really but why argue with a trend?
what for at this point, though. really? why sell for next to nothing, when maybe there is a teeny chance something good might still happen? I'm just either going down with the ship, or hoping for a long ball....
I only know of one. And I can't remember the ticker. I just know I dumped it after the R/S at something like .40 and it went up to dollars... only one I've seen in over a decade.
rethink and do what? I think its pretty much past that point..
not like there is an option to sell at this level and recover anything.
So unless either they change the terms of the R/S, FINRA doesn't approve it, or by some miracle this one goes to dollars per share after the R/S... its not totally hopeless. but maybe a small miracle required
added on news today, been holding a position for a while now, nice to see it building nicely today
here is my guess, from reading some of the previous history of the catalogue and having a little bit of experience in the music biz. owning rights to the sound recordings is not the same as owning the copyright of the composition itself. so hindsight saw the opportunity to buy a block of recordings of live performances, which themselves can be duplicated, rebroadcast and licensed. a composer/songwriter gets paid a royalty no matter who plays their work. but the owner of the soundrecording (usually the record label) get a royalty also for owning the soundrecording copyright. an oversimplification perhaps, but maybe that helps a bit. so with a huge catalogue of 20,000 recorded tracks, it comes down to the marketing expertise of the people trying to monetize the catalogue through new licensing efforts of the catalogue of recordings. whoever wrote the compositions and/or owns the songwriter/copyrights stands to gain from the licensing/usage as well, unless the songwriter/copyrights have expired...
added today on news, been in it a while, kinda forgot about it actually, but there was a lot of volume after todays' PR
need to study this some more to learn about what I have
thanks!
why is this moving? been in forever, almost forgot I had it til today
