It would certainly come as a surprise to my wife and be news to me that I have a girlfriend.
So, you weren't there, don't know what was actually said, but don't like me? A sound investing strategy, esp. if you're banking on only the positive things the CEO says to someone else, who you presumably like. Personally, I don't think there are "bashers" posting here. What you're seeing is a lot of people very concerned about the disconnect between the share price and what we've come to expect it will / should be.
How do you know that? Here's what I know: at the NYC investors conference, Steve said he was going to do everything possible to get DSNY on the NASDAQ. I raised my hand and asked, "does that include a reverse split?" Steve responded, "I'm not ruling anything out." If you were there you would know this exchange occurred, there were only about 25 of us in attendance. If you weren't there, please share your source.
At the NYC conference a couple of months ago, I specifically asked him about a reverse split and he said he wasn't ruling it out.
This is a development stage company, so one must be patient. That being said, cuurent management has demonstrated little ability to play in the bigs.
Really? Please, get a life, I'm completely uninterested in your assessment of me and my "motives."
Why did your newsletter say "if / when" G2 is released? What is the "if" all about, please?
I'm not using any other ID, if you think I have some nefarious agenda, it's really your problem. Yes, I got burned on IMMY yesterday and am a large shareholder of DSNY. As an aside, you seem to be looking for issues that aren't there - I'm looking to protect my investment. The performance of DSNY is not living up to my expectations, pure and simple, and I can't find an explanation that I'm satisfied with, which is why I'm here, looking for some genius to enlighten me.
Believe me, I know, was burned badly today with another stock by some seriously sleazy manipulation. What can I say, I thought it was interesting, worth getting comments on, no hidden agenda.
Honestly, I have no idea, again, I'm not going to defend their opinion, just think it's interesting - there is a highly respected poster on this board who frequently suggests checking that site, why don't you ask him?
Go to Pumps & Dumps, see for yourself, it's not like I wrote it, I'm not going to define / defend it, just asking for opinions. I will say that I've noticed that if anyone posts something not totally positive about DSNY, they do get attacked, that's a fact.
Anybody have an opinion on this? From Pumps & Dumps:
It should not be a surprise to anyone that stock message board Investorshub.com is generally controlled by the promoters who pimp their garbage to a mostly unsuspecting public. These promoters place several, if not dozens, of subscribers onto the message boards of the particular scam du jour (today NILA) and invariably control the content of the board by having their members named as moderator of the board. In this way, negative postings can be postly kept to a minimum.
In fact, the powers that be at Investorshub.com have themselves have been found culpable of taking part in promotions and Pump & Dump schemes, and at least one principal of the website has served time at a government resort for comitting stock fraud. It is well known that the adminstrators of these message boards tend to favor the schemes over the safety of those who actually rely on the fraudulent and manipulative information usually gleneaned from Investorshub.com.
"I'm not certain but I think I heard that programmers etc that were working on the plaympe side were shifted to Clipstream G2 to get that done asap. "
You're not certain, but you think you heard? Please.
excellent - definitely seems to bring it to the level of actionable intelligence.
Can you share by whom you were told? Does this rise to a higher level than rumor?
Actually, um, "they" cannot be "a whiner", as you put it, you see, "they" is plural and "a whiner" is singular and they're supposed to match. So, "they" can be "whiners" or he/she/it/one can be "a whiner." Why doesn't everyone stop with the personal put downs and stay on subject, the evolution of DSNY.
wow, you really won't allow any differing opinions in your bubble, will you? basically your view is that if you like a company you're not allowed to question any aspect of its operations without being considered a "basher." really you remind me of some true believer cult or something - what I've been trying to do, rather unsuccessfully, too, is to question if there's any way to move the share price up to where logic would dictate it should be. this effort has resulted in my being called names and have my integrity questioned. basically, you should be ashamed of yourselves, but then again, you have to live with yourselves, too, sorry about that.
I'm not a fan of the efficient market theory in general, but isn't it the basis of technical analysis? So would that mean that technicals are also irrelevant to the microcap market?
I own, got my son to buy some ( a lot), ditto my wife and 2 brothers in law. But since you don't believe my previous posts in this regard, you probably won't believe this one, either. Whatever.
One hopes you are correct.
Ok, they don't need to market to consumers but they might need to market to corporations. The 800 pound gorilla in the room, is what else is out there? We clearly don't know if another company has 7 different patents to approach this problem from another angle, which is now undergoing secret beta testing. There may very well be competition to Clipstream down the road, it's hard to claim eternal monopoly status at this point. If you believe in the theory of efficient markets, that the stock price reflects everything known about a particular stock, it becomes hard to justify DSNY's current share price, Clipstream is no secret.
I'm sure I like DSNY more than you do.
So, Ford only advertises right before a new car roll-out, and Budweiser before a new beer product, and Disneyland only before a new theme park opens? The idea is to build a brand and I don't see what's wrong with that. To get back to where this started, the problem isn't that you don't understand marketing, it's that DSNY doesn't seem to either. I asked Steve about this at his NYC meeting and he assured us that a campaign was important and imminent, but I've not seen anything.
I had a feeling I was violating some sort of believers' orthodoxy with the comments I was posting. I suggest you keep inside your information bubble, only weaklings consider other people's opinions valuable.
I'm sorry you had to resort to ad hominem attacks. I'm a marketing professional in possibly the most competitive market in the country and you don't have a clue. Seriously.
I'm sorry, I have to respectfully disagree with you. You're describing R&D, not marketing. What I mean is that Destiny is a media worthy story just on the basis of MPE. I'd like to see stories about them, now, to help build the brand, then when Clipstream hits, you have a company that's better known and is then widely considered an innovator - you can't expect people to find this out on their own. That's what will lift the share price, the perception of the company as investment-worthy. Many great products have failed due to lack of a focused marketing effort. Or maybe I'm unaware of the reason that Destiny isn't currently trying to publicize itself.
Too much ain't enough
You are incorrect to think I'm trying to get anyone to sell, I continue to buy at whatever cost when I can afford it - it's a silly concept if you think about it, why would you care if you paid .79 or .83 per share if you think it's going up to some very large number, the difference there would be $400 on 10,000 shares, so really. I'm worried about them from a marketing point of view and its impact on their ability to bridge the "chasm" - if you build a better mousetrap, the world doesn't necessarily beat a path to your door.
I'm not selling, now, but if they've been testing a beta version there are obviously no secrets. That being the case, where is any mention of the company in the press, where is the public relations campaign? I understand that they didn't want to accept financing from another company and that that's good, but where is the effort to build the value of their own company? There are many great products that have gone by the wayside for lack of a skilled marketing effort.
I'm afraid I'm beginning to agree with you. I"m seriously long in DSNY but they're not showing they have any ability to compete in the big time - there are people who get paid fortunes to know about companies like this and they are not investing. And Destiny distributes an inferior version for beta testing? Makes no sense, all they've been doing well is stringing everyone along
well, clearly 6 was a mistake, but the bid ask remains 3.00 / 3.50, which is very good. Can't find any info about anything going on , though.
