Lochute,
I prefer not to sell for a dime on the dollar because, as I said previously, I still have "hope". Check the dictionary and you will see that there is a difference between "hope" and "belief". If I had no "hope" then I would sell now for a loss. You on the other hand seem to look at the ownership of this stock as some kind of a religious experience which I do not entirely understand. You have the right to hold because you "believe", and I have the right to hold because I have "hope". It's very difficult for me to "believe" when the outcome of our investment is almost entirely dependent on the behavior of a management which has apparently abandoned its shareholders. Enough said.
"Fact:
We are all still here because we still believe that this will eventually recover and prosper!"
Well, I wish that were a fact, but the obvious fact is that most of us are still here because we basically have no choice. Selling for a dime on the dollar is not really a great option. I'm still hopeful, but I find it difficult to express a lot of faith in the future here with our current management situation.
Great to hear. Nice job! eom
I agree, but the tough thing here is that a 1000% gain only takes us back to two or three pennies. Don't get me wrong because I'll take that in a heartbeat, but we've got a long row to hoe to get us even to that point.
I wish people would please be more realistic and stop posting their dreams about one dollar a share. It's really not doing anybody any good. We've got a WHOLE lot of building up to do before we can even think about a dollar. My dream at this point is a solid one penny a share and a decent PR.
Please give us some pressure. eom
Whoever "Brian" is, he certainly is a prolific penny poster. Just not on xkem's board.
True. eom.
"They've been dealing with cleaning up the mess left behind by a misguided scientist cum CEO."
Shouldn't this post be deleted for profanity? LOL! But seriously, how long do you think that we should sit back and not even complain about management's silence? What if the Pandey litigation is settled in the near-term yet they still remain silent? How long should we wait? Personally, this "stealth" management style is getting to be a little too much to take. It's like loaning a chunk of cash to a neighbor and seeing that the next day he has moved out with no forwarding address or phone number. An open letter to the shareholders explaining the situation is the least these guys can do if they have any regard for us at all.
Nice day! Hope there's something to it.
No, I think that dude moved back to Sweden.
One reason I can think of other than cashflow would be to give Basu easier control of the company at rock bottom prices. All speculation of course, because I have no idea what they're up to. Either they start disclosing voluntarily, shareholders sue for access to documents and records to try and get a handle on what's going on here, or this company stays quiet until they either go private or xkem goes away. Anybody's guess.
My new source says we're going to break through .003 today on the close, but he's still hung over so I'm not going to put much faith in his opinions.
My source is under a gag order. eom
P.S. 500 million MORE shares....
Which if going to the Basu group, certainly ensures their complete control of the company.
I'm with you on that ace. As I have obviously expressed before, it appears that we are being scammed by management. No logical reason for the complete silence. Whether it helps the shareholders in the pocketbook or not, lawsuits and hopefully criminal charges appear to me to be in order here. I don't understand how anyone can continue to have confidence in these guys. Maybe because they feel as if they have no alternative.
I have. As far as families sticking together and helping each other out, I agree. I'm just trying to look at things from a more realistic viewpoint. I guess I'm a numbers guy and can't help but begin an analysis with numbers. LOL. Regardless, I still think it'll be tough for half the sufferers in Nigeria to be able to afford this drug without significant government intervention. Please don't accuse me of being a basher, because I'm basically just a realist. I don't think that anything said on this board, either pro or con, is going to have an affect on the eventual outcome of this stock. Only a few daytraders around here should care about that anyway.
"The day he left the company it was a whole new ball game with brand new players. The new team was left with a couple of cracked bats and some water logged balls to play with." I agree Raven. I just hope that the new guys want us on their team!
Hope you're correct Goldrush, but with a per capita income level of roughly $1,500 U.S. Dollars, it's going to be pretty tough for half of the Nigerian sufferers to afford Nicosan without major government subsidies. Obviously not a lot of room in the average Nigerian budget for a 300 dollar a year (roughly) drug. I'm also wondering how much lower than the per capita income level that the average SCA sufferer resides. It's kind of hard to be productive when you are afflicted with this horrible disease. I'm hoping that the government will at least come up with a program for the kids VERY soon.

Let's hope that those meaningful sales are to the Nigerian Government. Pandey's crappola about half of the sufferers in Nigeria being able to afford the drug was ridiculous BS.
I'm not exactly impressed either with the chicken feed cash the company is receiving for this major dilution. It's only enough cash to pay salaries for a few months. Now if they would only tell us what's going on with sales, we might be able to get a better handle on what the future holds. Unfortunately they tell us nothing.
Not to sound too negative (LOL) because I still remain long here, but don't you think that "these new investors" that we continue to attract are likely to be our same old Basu Group? Half a million bucks at .001 doesn't sound too risky to me since they are "in the know" about what's really going on here.
That would be nice, but I'll believe it when I see it. The company giving us the cold shoulder for so long makes me a bit skeptical (to say the least}of their intentions.
Hell, I wouldn't be surprised one bit if the Pandey, Basu and Swift gangs are all in bed together on this. Nice way to milk a company for everything that it's worth by feigning lawsuits when they are really all in this together for mutual benefit. Could of been the plan from the start. I have zero faith in these guys. Btw, I wonder who put up the 5 million here? I doubt very much that it was someone from the outside.
What jerks to do this .001 crap on the day after Christmas when very few are watching. I guess they now have money to pay their salaries as well as profit on dirt cheap shares. Don't see them saying they're going to do anything else with the proceeds but keep themselves afloat. Our boat is unfortunately taken on more water and they refuse to provide any bilge pumps. Some can say that Swift is doing all that he can, but the evidence is showing otherwise.
Here's to a Merry Christmas for all, and a brand new and prosperous year for XKEM!
Nice find. Sounds very positive.eom
Probably wallpapering his boiler room with his 100 million shares. LOL! That guy was WAY too obvious.
I guess they don't like us.eom
Pretty clear to me that the company wants us to be invisible. Their motivation for this?
You ask what should xkem/Swift PR to his shareholders, who are the owners of this company and the people who effectively pay his salary? How about telling us why he lied to us upon his hire by not holding a shareholder's meeting and update toward the end of the year? I guess he has a week or so to come through with his "explanation", but it's really not looking too likely at the moment. I can think of plenty of other things that should be PR'd also, but I don't have the time to go into that now, or to read the posts that have been made on this subject since early this afternoon. Good night.
It's difficult to deny anything that you say. The litigation is just not a valid excuse for this company's treatment of its shareholders. Pure BS IMO.
LOL. Then please enlighten! eom
"Also any poster saying Basu has told Swift NO PR's then I challenge you!" With all due respect, you'd really have to be living with the two guys 24/7 to know that for sure. Who other than the powers that be, could possible know for certain what's going on behind the scenes here. Have a nice evening.
Good job. I just hope that '07 & '08 turn out to be as different as night and day around here.
If their only interest is in keeping the company going at this point, then they need to realize that a share price above dirt can contribute to that goal. What keeps the share price above dirt? FINDING some good news to PR! If there is no good news to dig up on this company after all of this time, then this company is toast. On the other hand, maybe they don't won't to PR any good news. They're still getting paid I'm sure. Hmmmmmm.....
Yeah, it would certainly be nice to know if these guys have totally blown HMF off. Since they have chosen to not speak, we have no way of knowing. So what happened to the grant money? Did Pandey steal that too? LOL!!
Good post Razkyll. I can't dispute anything that you said.
I thought that the company dropped everything in the pipeline except HMF/Nicosin. At least that's the way I read it when they announced that they would outsource HMF research upon closing the old office. Did that half a million grant money a year or so ago not go into testing HMF at Children's Hospital in Philadelphia?
Put together $1,000 for the plane, rent car, hotel and a couple of meals and I'll be happy to make the trip. Otherwise, you arrange the meeting plus the finances and I'll also be happy to chip in a few bucks for someone else to make the trip. BOL in setting up that meeting! LOL!
