You are a Wise woman, Ksquared...I wouldn't mess with that group either. For one thing they reminded me of Danny Devito, Gary Coleman, and a few Ultra Liberal's from the Republik of Kalifornia running for Governor. They didn't have the look of real cowboys...LOL
Colt
Come to think of it, Ksquared, the Pink Duster does come with the outfit. As soon as I get my hairy legs shaved I'll take a photo and post it............yeah, Right! <g>
Colt
Sorry, Ksquared, because it was a nude photo of Tom Selleck when he was 30 years old. Better get that mo'sheen of yours fixed to receive the good photos...LOL
Actually, it was OneBgg's wife's painting of Mt. Hood. I was just showing Justin how it could be done after he asked if someone could copy one of those paintings. However, a Disclaimer is needed here, possible...I in no way would infringe upon OneBgg's wife's wonderful work of art...I was only showing how to get something posted here on iHub. In fact, I think I will remove that photo in fairness to OneBgg. I don't want the big guy suing me because I ain't got no money. :>)

U R Welcome, instructions.'r.us.ksquared...! <GGG> e/
Ksquared...
I use Microsoft Photo Editor which comes with the Office package. It is great for Resizing, Cropping, Balancing Color, Rotating, etc. Especially for a dumb ol' cowboy like me. You can convert any kind of image to a jpeg, which quality wise is the worst. TIFF and BitMap are much better quality wise but, much harder to work with, at least for me. I usually convert images to jpeg because the others take up way too much space/storage.

Ksquared, speaking of appreciative....
the other day when I mentioned the Mexican Mafia that has infested border states like Texas and California, I think I may have left the wrong impression about Latino's in general. I remember in one of your reply post's, you mentioned that those up in NJ were a-ok. I meant to respond but, you know me, I got busy and forgot...alzheimers already? Yikes! Anyway, as you probably know San Antonio and South Texas has one of the largest populations (percentage wise...Los Angeles being the largest) and 99.9999999999999999999% of the Mexicans, Mexican-American's, Latino's, down here are wonderful people and are fantastic workers and business owners. So much of San Antonio's downtown and it's night life is influenced by Mexico and the Mexican people, many of whom are wealthy land owners, owning large ranches and other Real Estate. Many are Lawyers (Yuck) and Doctors and PhD's teaching in the many Universities here in San Antonio and Research Facilities like SW Research, SW Foundation, Texas Medical Complex, etc. And many own some of the better Club's and Restaurant's. Anyway I could go on and on but, don't want to bore you to death...just wanted to make sure you didn't think I was being racist. The good Mexican's/Latino's would love nothing better than to eliminate the Mexican Mafia, since it is their family's they go after to recruit the young ones. Hope this clears things up because I have worked with many and I definitely appreciate them.

TH, when you first look at that photo of the Cape's, it looks like the one in front either has a head on each end or he is crapping bulls out his backside these days. LOL
It was the angle that made it look funny when you first open the photo up. Otherwise he looks like a bull you wouldn't want to cross without some Hi-Power!

Evening, Ksquared...
"Rawhide 120 plus years later"...LOL, yep! Many an evening I come in and my hide is flat out raw. Give me the 1800's and you'll have one happy camper. That truck is actually our smallest truck. You've seen my other, the 4 dr. 4 x 4 diesel. That's the one we were in when we got stranded in Bandera during last years flood. You just can't get away with anything smaller.
About the tanks that you would probably call catch basins or detention ponds.....I can go along with calling them catch basin's but, as far as the 'detention' is concerned....we don't punish our tanks/catch basin's down here. :>)
You wonder what the next forty will bring. Me too! It is sure to be wild and crazy. I think I'll hop in my Time Machine and head back in the other direction. Maybe meet up with John Wayne. <g>
Colt
Good post, Id. I use a Canon Scanner N67OU but, something is conflicting with it since my last computer crash. Still trying to get it working again. I've been happy with it and especially so since I only spent $79 for it.
Colt
See how nice Ksquared, is, OneBgg? She thought we were "handsome, rootin' tootin', gun totin' sons of guns..."
Thanks, Ksquared. Not sure about the handsome, but we definitely fit the 'rootin tootin' category. :>)
Colt
Yeah, but Phil charges for his answers/help and the rest of us don't. Justin better check his Visa/MC's to see what has been billed to them in the last 24 hours. <ggg>
Colt
OneBgg, are you making fun of yourself, as well as me, TH, Greg and Justin? I thought that was a pretty good photo of us. Made us all look young-er. <GGG>
Colt
the hell with the housework...Damn straight, Ksquared. I agree with you 110%. I am pretty sexy though when I slip on my Maid's dress. Legs a little hairy but what the heck! :>)
Colt
Nice pics, TH. The Cape Buffalo looks like it is one of them alien two headed Cape Buffalo's. LOL
Colt
Justin,
You asked, "Is there a way to select an individual photo on ONEBGG's website and post it directly to a message board as Colt did with his tank pictures?"
You need a host site like Hunt 101, pBase, Anglefire, etc. Then you can link it directly to a web page like here on iHub.
One of OneBgg's wife's paintings of Mount Hood
Thanks TH. I'm going to put that Link in the iBox. In fact it is NOW in.
Colt
Nice post Miss Smarty Pants. Very well explained. You should be working for Bill Gates/Microsoft so them folks could finally do something right.
Colt
I prefer floppy's also, Ksquared. If one has MS Office you can put the floppy in and click on 'Images' and do everything from cropping, resizing, balancing, rotating, etc., The few times I get CD's back I had trouble and thankfully the developer exchanged the CD for a floppy. Now I always get the floppy, even though he tells me I am living in the past. I tell him I prefer the simpler things in life. Life is too complicated as it is.

Ksquared said....
"Colt can explain the gif thing in real English... hell, bet he can do it in Texan too."
Ya wanna bet? LOL I could probably do it easier in Texan than in English. Actually, I'm better at sign language and smoke signals. :>)
Colt
Welcome back, TH. Bet it was hard to get out of the lake. Colt
Ksquared, just be glad your folks still know how to have fun. I admire our active parents. Some people retire and then do nothing except die. Long live those who enjoy life to its fullest. Some of my most fun and pleasant memories of growing up was spending time with my dad and brother just kicking back in a 16' aluminum boat we use to own and not worrying about a damn thing. Well we did solve all the world's problems but, no one outside of that boat cared nor listened. Everyone should be so lucky. :>)
Colt
Now you've done it, Justin. We'll never get Ksquared down here for some skinny dipping. We'll she had already indicated she wasn't about to do that anyway.......and here I thought them Jersey gals liked to have fun...<GGG>
Colt
That's the post I was looking for. Most are manmade but, some are natural phenomena. Purpose? Skinny dipping, watering hole for cattle and doves, etc., etc., etc....
Colt
LOL...I know the feeling. e/
Yep! Nope! e/
You are a wise woman, Ksquared. :>) e/
Justin, cold front/norther??? Is that where the temps dip below 90 degrees? It had been a nice summer until this past week and now around 3 pm I feel like I'm over in Baghdad. This weather is so crazy these days I wouldn't be that surprised if it snowed in September. <g>
Colt
Well Justin, since no one called us out on the Duck in the tree (although Ksquared did seem to imply <GGG> that something might be wrong in Ducksville, with us good ol' boys from Texas), there doesn't seem to be any need to be duck-ing any repayment. LOL I admit that it isn't a sight that is seen everyday. It is almost akin to seeing a flying pig.

The Peace and Love on this board of late makes me feel like I am at a Woodstock Love-In. Seems like the good ol' days on this board. I'll buy everyone a beer or a lollipop (your choice) if it stays nice and peaceful. I knew once this board hired the Miller Light Bikini Gals, that the male posters would start getting along with each other. Now we just need to find out what the women want. <Slightly Evil GGG>!
Peace, Love and Plenty of Good Sex for ALL !

PW, I think I dated those nine (9) gals/girls/women/females/chicks/foxes/dolls/lady's, back in my collegiate days. I too, thought there would be 9 babies within a month. :>)

Ksquared and Justin....
I was reading the posts as fast as I could as I'm running late (Texas Trophy Hunters Extravaganza friday through today) and wanted to answer Ksquared's post about uses/building tanks but, in my haste I forget which post it was so I'll answer using a new post and will go back later tonight when I get back home and will try to get caught up. Some photos to follow and Justin, I skimmed the post's and it looks like you are getting good advice. If you have MS Office 98 or above they have a very neat way of cropping, sizing, balancing color, rotating, etc. I can help you out as time permits this week. I use a Canon Scanner ($70') but, it got all messed up after my pc crashed and so far Canon Techies and I speak two different languages...my dumb Texas cowboy language and their hi-faluting tech language.
Basically, Ksquared, there are multiple uses and reasons for tanks on a ranch or farm. First and foremost is for survival of livestock. Thus tanks are scattered about on ranches so that the livestock have a place to get a drink. Sometimes a tank will be used for irrigation but, usually because of the area to be irrigated is hundreds to thousands of acres, a tank is just not feasible. An irrigation well is the method of choice. However, on a small scale such as a small farm that grows plants for a nursery it is sometimes more cost effective to water the plants by way of a tank capable of holding enough water to do so as compared to spending upwards of $100,000.00 on up for the drilling of a well and the pumping equipment and the cost to run and maintain it. This only works where you have enough rainwater year round to keep from running out of surface water.
Other uses of tanks include such things as the perfect watering hole for late season Doves. Also raising catfish and bass for example for fishing, both family pleasure and commercially for money.
Tanks can be creek fed, spring fed, rainfall fed (runoff), or fed via water well and pump. Some tanks are natural (although usually helped and/or improved by man and machinery) or built from scratch by man and machinery. This is done by digging or wallowing out of an area that usually has a natural downward slope to catch water (rain or creek) runoff and like Justin said, a dam is built to stop the flow and catch the runoff.
The above is tank info in its simplest terms. More detail includes such things as needed to keep as much water in the tank without loosing it via evaporation or seepage underground. This requires such things as chemicals, fertilizers, sediments, clays, loams, heavy plastics, and the like. Bentonite is one product used to keep water from seeping into the ground below. Trees to provide shade and limit the harshness of the suns heat and evaporative tendencies.
