I don't do Facebook...
Do you really believe a person would spend millions of dollars on research only to leave the results "on the table"? Never trying to use the success of it?
If, to anticipate your next question, all that talk is bogus, what kind of person would stand before an audience, twice, seeking funds to produce a worthless card?
Why would a well respected company introduce that person to the audience of hundreds if they did not do their DD?
As for MC/V do you really think that after all was said and done between SMME and them Chaya would ever allow them to be first to use The Card? Perhaps a little payback would feel good.
Only a person out of touch with reality; psychotic; would do that.
I see two types of people on this board: THOSE who are frustrated that their dreams had not been realized--AND THOSE who still hold fast to the dream becoming a reality.
I believe The Card exists and that SMME has tested it and that it works and that America will take 10 years for any entity in it to use it and that Chaya is working her butt off to bring it to market and that if I'm wrong.....there will be a few people looking for her to let their feelings be made known to her.....
Where and what is the cause of your beliefs and frustrations??
minor shareholders have rights...major shareholders have power
Thanks for addressing half of my comments...
the other half would apply to a company who would PURCHASE The Card for security purposes....NOT as an investment.
There has to be many companies who would be willing to buy a card at $50/card which would last 5 years that would bring a high level of security to their company.
So though the sky may be blue there are some clouds about it...don't you think?
Mr Unapologetic...I am aware of the history of SMME. And though I did not pay $1.50/share...American I assume...I did pay $.70/share.
Other than that, what is different about the company? Did Chaya own less shares then than now? Did she control less of the company then than now? You purchased stock in a company with an understanding that, among other factors, it was a startup company AND tightly controlled by one person. I will note, too, that along the way Chaya has given up much control to keep OUR investments afloat.
As for salary....don't recall her being paid for awhile.
As for a close look at records...buy Apple stock and see if Tim Cook will let you in to review their comprehensive accounting records. Maybe he'll even bring you coffee and a donut.
As for apologies...It is a reference to my belief in the future success of SMME. AND when that happens it is my belief and upbringing that one humble themselves in the face of poor behavior and show appreciation and thanksgiving for the success brought about by the officers' decisions.
Is that tight enough of a grip??
Funding was a long shot with the most recent litigation left unanswered. NOW that the issue is behind us more effort and energy can be focused on finding funding.
Can't say that I've ever had so much money that I could make such an investment as needed here--I'm guessing $1 million or more. Yet knowing what little I do about business such things time...sometimes a lot more time than investors have patience for. But, perseverance will win out...and I hope the nay-sayers make their apologies.
Come on people....At a cost of $25/card to produce a run of 100,000 cards is $2.5 million.... To an individual that may be a lot, but to some big corporation for an investment?
Also, a run of 5,000 cards at $50 each would be nothing for a corporation to have a secure access card to restricted areas. $250,000 would be a reasonable expense for security.
The Card offers many avenues of usage...all of which are affordable.
Yes...Yes...A part from bettering The Card the only thing left to do is to get it rolling....!!!! :)
I'm guessing and hoping....THIS QUARTER...
Well my wife has the dubious honor of having paid $.034/share sometime ago. We are very hopeful of making a huge profit on QUTR...even at $.034/share.
To day begins a NEW quarter...and with the $3million monkey off our back the hope of The Big Bang, as SHINER so terms it, is now closer than ever.
From most recent PR, it seems buyers are in line. And as is common, the USA is not first in line. We always seem to be 1st in development of new technology and last to use it.....
For those of us who have waited patiently over the years--through the many, many trials that have come upon SMME I say: A NEW DAY IS DAWNING... The light is seen at the end of the tunnel and it is NOT a train.
Hope still reigns and I trust the celebration party downunder is still a go.....
LMU...nice to see you chatting again. I cannot locate the courts ruling. Any links you may offer for us to read it?
You just may become the #1 philanthropist of Australia!!!
Seems to me PoorP-S your questions were already answered in the post you are responding to. It seems you don't like the answers---but they are the answers to your concerns.
Every investor, in every stock, does so for financial gain. I understand the frustrations expressed here over the 7 or so years I've been involved with SMME. IF, HOWEVER, you look more closely at the progress made in the development of The Card and the decisions made along the way to preserve capital it cannot be denied that The Card today is generations better than what was first conceptualized 15 years ago and good decisions were made to keep SMME moving forward.
I, for one, applaud Chaya in that effort and the many other issues she has had to deal with-personal and business--over the 15 PLUS years she has faced in bringing The Card to market.
I see the light at the end of the tunnel--and it is NOT a train.
I, also, recommend joining the SMME chat board. It's under "Investors"---chat board. Can add your e'mail and communicate directly with those one would choose to.
Competition is good. Would AMEX and Discover seek an alternative to MC/Visa's product?
The different uses for such a card is numerous--as shown on the SMME video. There is still a market for it and cost is relevant as well. Also, I've never seen any product in exclusive use. We will have a niche.
quality of product is important; How do the fingerprint readers compare??
How does the competitors card get recharged??
Cost and longevity of the card matters, too.
Just wondering....
Thanks for the link...Professionally done; informative; like the cartoon aspect of it. Job well done SMME
How much do you think stock would move once announcement is made???
Hang in there. there is strong support at .0032. your $600 will be worth MUCH more in 3-4 weeks. I'm in at .0042 with 1million shares and looking to buy more. Been in for many years...you have gotten in at the correct and best time...
JMHO
The high of .034 was me way back when....would love to see that happen!!
Thanks for sharing the GREAT news. Any time table given as to when it will be completed?
Keep me in mind...and that goes for any SMME investors who may travel through San Diego, CA. Face to face conversation about our investment and hopes for SMME.
Let me summarize past posts:
I am an investor...of money...NOT, perhaps as much as many of you but CERTAINLY MORE than most of you as a % of my total wealth. I have been in SMME for well over 6 years...long enough to have experienced all that you have. I am 63 and 80% of my total retirement funds are invested in SMME. If SMME goes bust, I will need to live with a very unhappy and unforgiving wife AND work until the day I die.
Investing gives us ownership, NOT management, of the company. One aspect of investing is a belief in the management of the company. Due diligence is our responsibility.
Long ago Chaya was instructed by her counsel NOT to respond on this board or any other board. Scream all you want, but the information we will receive will be in PRs and the annual reports.
As for failure....how do you define failure? Chaya is STILL working her butt off, travelling the world to bring The Card to market. I still see a product alive with potential...and thus "failure" is far from any description I would use to describe SMME.
AND FINALLY...all that Chaya has promised has been truthful. The ONLY fault one could ascribe to her is a timing issue. The comments she has made regarding The Card and its production and marketing may have missed her projected timetable, but circumstances do have a way of making that happen. IE: going from producing The Card in our own plant to resourcing it out. THAT was a time and money saving change of plans. Would you fault Chaya for being "untruthful" about not building the plant?
The "we" my fellow investor are all those who read this board and hear your concerns...voiced by many.
Constant complaining regarding the same issue or topic I consider to be bashing. Saying it; repeating it is enough for any listener to "GET IT".
Also, denial of reality--that The Card doesn't exist--because the one complaining has not seen it; held it; etc. is not fair nor truthful. Perhaps a qualification stating that it is your opinion that The Card does not exist would be a more fair representation of the truth.
That's all...and it really doesn't matter what comments or how many comments follow one's own comment...opinions are common and frequent and welcome...
Duke...visiting San Diego, CA? contact me for lunch...We can talk face to face RE: SMME
How do you know there hasn't been one?
How do you know there hasn't been one?
The world is bigger than what you can see.
On this one you do not need to read between the lines...just read the lines.
Really, your skepticism is beyond just plain doubt...it seems to boarder on "bashing".
My request to you: Your message is noted...please know from now on there is NO need for you to continue to express your displeasure and criticism. WE GET IT.
I wonder who among us has developed an idea into a product.
Who among us has taken a product from conception to reality; from thought to substance?
Few, if any, decisions made has the confidence and backing of a whole group/committee/ board. The decision maker does what he or she believes is best. Sometimes correctly made---sometimes not---sometimes with less effect than hoped for.
I'll go out on a limb here and say that the video was made probably to assuage those investors and critics who believe The Card does not exist. That massive amounts of money was not used to do a better job on the video can be countered with the argument that NO money would have been spent if comments on the boards regarding the existence of The Card were not raised.
No one would allow a stranger to determine how they should decorate their home or design the layout of their house. I imagine it is not easy to let go of control of an idea one has had for decades; that one has travelled the world to develop and promote and finally see materialize.
Chaya has brought this product a long way and if anyone has been along for this ride for many years knows partly of the struggles to get to this point and OF THE GREATLY IMPROVED DESIGN AND FUNCTION of The Card now compared to what was first conceived.
I trust the naysayers will offer thanks and apologies in the near future when their bank accounts become full because of Chaya's devotion and work to bringing The Card to market.
Well....slap away!!! Feeling good
G'day Mate....
I would be willing to do whatever is in my realm of possibility to show the world and we investors that The Card is real and workable.
My question is this: (And I admit my ignorance and inexperience here) Who among us KNOWS what it takes to obtain funding?
Do we imagine that 2 or more people sit at a table and discuss the points necessary to obtain funds and then walk away with a decision? OR
Is it more that people sit at a table and talk....then agree to return to the table and discuss more....and then come back again and make some compromises.... Do you get my point? IT TAKES TIME. And many people have to say YES to make it happen.
AND what if there is MORE THAN ONE group who is interested in funding the project???? That would infer multiple meetings with different groups making compromises and negotiating the best deal for all. That would take A LOT OF TIME.
I don't know how the funding process works BUT this I do know:
Chaya has always been truthful with us...in PRs and annual reports. What has NOT been accurate is the time frame in which she expected and pronounced events to take place. They eventually did take place....but without a crystal ball timing is always a nebulous factor.
Thanks again!!!
My fellow investor...I have been in SMME for well over 6 years and I BOUGHT the bulk of my shares at $.70. An though MY total $ invested in SMME may be small compared to many who chat on this board it is 90% of my ability to have a comfortable retirement. Not unlike the widow who put her last and only coin in the church plate I have done nearly the same. In addition, I have gotten over a dozen friends and family into SMME. Many, like be, purchased shares well above $.50 on the hopes of a trial win and the success of The Card. And they frequently contact me about their investment.
Don't know how many $ you have invested but you are not alone. One chatter has over 2 million shares in their portfolio and has been in it since the very beginning.
I believe all of us investors who have rode the price wave up and then back down share a certain level of fear and frustration. I share here what I share with those friends and family members who are also investors in SMME...Believe in its success. Chaya has worked tirelessly and around the world to get The Card to be the best of them all. It will be successful...in time. One day we all, the optimistic and fearful, will be glad we hung in there. It seems 2015, will be the year. YES, we've heard that before. But Chaya has worked on this long and hard and the comments from the last annual report indicate that this will be the year we go into production. The end is a lot closer, now, then our beginnings....
Price per share is based on MANY different functions: expectations; earnings; revenues; shares available to the public (float); but it all comes down to supply and demand.
More buyers of the stock...price goes up.
More sellers of the stock...price goes down.
The above mentioned criteria ONLY function to drive buyers and sellers....which affect the price of the stock.
Sometimes good news will bring a drop in price because people NEED to sell for whatever reasons. And you without a doubt have seen this to be true.
OH...THAT video.
Yes, it does not show That it works, but does show the characteristics of The Card and, thus, That It Will work for transactions as well as showing the security built into it.
I think it was done very professionally and thought it VERY creative using the metaphor of a SOON TO BE RELEASED MOVIE. Ten stars for that one.
And I would take it as an insult to say "No reliable witness" has seen The Card work. I believe Chaya has strong credibility.
It may be called whatever the producer of if wants to call it. It seems to me that it is produced by an individual who wants to show The Card off rather than the company producing a clip to promote The Card. Just as the YouTube clip for the MKR was. Again, the audience is NOT the investing world but rather YouTube watchers...thus the pps may or may not be affected by it.
And it does work...Either the clip is a fraud, showing the printed receipt coming out of the transaction terminal OR it is for real. I remind you that Chaya stood before hundreds of potential investors with The Card. One would have to have their mind in another world to do that with a bogus product....and Chaya does not seem to have her mind in another world.
I guess some people won't believe until they can "put their hand into His side and their fingers into the nail holes". Really, any investor who STILL doubts the reality of The Card will NEVER believe in it.
As for the video...just like the one for the MKR, it is done, I believe, NOT for the promotion of The Card, but for showing how it works and validating its reality to a small population of the public.
Thanks for the boost. I did my share at 25. I'm all in...now waiting for the news and stock to move.
I think the real number of shares investors need to look at is the float--shares available for trading--plus the restricted shares. Those two figures I think give us a better understanding of what the market value of QUTR will be down the road. Once the restricted shares become available for trading the price per share will change.
glenc...footnotes with references would be helpful.
Bale out...From this post of yours it appears that you are a bit in the dark as to why a stock price might go "from 4 cents and double to 8 cents in a few week(s)...without one piece of information released by the company during that time.)
Your stated suspicion of concern that "someone maybe in the know" for the rise in price and volume is only one of many possible reasons for the rise in price and volume. I and others were only addressing this post of yours with good and kind intentions.
G'day.
Bale out...even a blind person can see that the price of ANY commodity, stocks included, is based on supply and demand. Econ 101
The value of a company is purely mathematical: price of stock at a particular time times the outstanding shares. The more people who want to own the stock juxtaposed to the number of those who want to sell the stock is what causes the price to move up or down. This can be because of news; rumor; or the hope that the company MAY do well in the future. I am aware of one investor who has purchased over 2 million shares of SMME. Do you think if that person chose to sell all the shares the "price" last quoted would be the price they receive? OF COURSE NOT. It would be much lower, to the bid quote and may move the bid quote lower as well, thus affecting the value of the company WITHOUT there being a reason other than the sale of the stock. Yes, the sale MAY be predicated upon news...or that the seller became disenchanted with the company or just needed the money.
Perhaps you may remember Amazon stock decades ago when quarter after quarter and year after year they lost money. NOT a very valuable company to own. However, the price of the stock continued to rise as more and more investors purchased the stock based on expectations....that they may be bought out for their extensive list of customers.
I also refer you to posts three or four back which also seeks to enlighten you to reasons for the stock prices movement other than for "news" or the dissemination of inside information.
Bale out...You know NOT of what you speak. The "actual price of the shares" is between the bid and the asked, and sometimes is the bid or the asking quote. What do you think the "actual price of the shares" is???? How do you think the quoted price is determined?????
In times past I purchased shares of SMME and upon viewing the transaction on this site it showed up as a "SALE"...yes a sale, not the purchase I made.
My point: if a person sells stock and it comes out of the market-makers inventory it may be reflected differently than if the transaction comes from a buyer/seller transaction. If a seller wants a quick sale and does so at the bid quote it will be shown at that price...regardless of what the asking quote is. THAT is pennyland.....
But really, do tell me how you define "actual price of the shares"....I'm interested in how you think the stated price is determined.....
Bale out...truth can be stranger than fiction. Price is based on Supply and Demand. A strong demand on a stock in a single day CAN raise the "bid" price 4 cents in a day.
Also, The 4 cent close was a sale...an "ask" price. The 8 cent purchase was a "bid" price. The spread in the bid and asking quotes and the corresponding action on those prices can ALONE account for MORE than a doubling in price at levels such as SMME.
This is "penny" land, NOT the New York stock exchange. Such a fluxuation in price is not uncommon here. Such a change in price--4 cents--was only a $5 million difference. And as you see now it under 7 cents.
Think about it....
