"rock" and "max" - I'll take the "market up 15 pts and under" bet. Dead cat bounce.
I want to see BORK 15% up or higher though !
"Rock" - Thanks for being curious enough to ask. No signed NDA here. He's a lower level officer (I'm holding back the name) who I got passed to when I called on a general suggestion talk and info request. He gets a lot of calls for info I guess.
Also, I called to remind BORK they had not issued any PR or info since the website was developed and the sale to "Seattle" in March.
I have reiterated that on IHUB. You can read what I suggested / asked in my recent posts.
So - I had a couple suggestions about the site he said were good, that he appreciated and I asked about JB and the trial and if BORK was profitable yet (HA!).
He said BORK had a plan in place for transition, if needed. Not to worry.
1. He said BORK had actually been selling a pretty good qty. of armor plates, and were really pleased with progress there.
2. He said BORK had a few promising prospects they hoped to close in the next 6-8 weeks (nothing specific or controversial there).
3. He said John Spano had been VERY VERY VERY busy working with prospects. His emphasis.
4. He said BORK was currently composing an updated combination of sales progress, general info and plans and was sure they'd have it on the website by late next week.
He sounded upbeat and left me feeling a little less concerned. Matches a few of the other positive posters who may have spoken to him too.
I'm not big on hype for hype sake - What else can I say ?
"Tre" - I have it on good authority that BORK is going to be making all of us a profit as long as it was not bought over $5.75 last summer.
You don't have to invest anymore - from this posts numbers, looks to me your avg. is pretty decent compared to lot of folks here.
Hang in there and you will be rewarded....or I'll buy you a dinner at the shareholders meeting this summer !
"noguts" - "pacco" asks why you had to sign an NDA ? Were you given specific information about the mfg. process or about relationships with the gov't. or other companies ?
We all have been told the product is made in secret, so far as the "alloy powder" and Kryron-izing process.
Did they show you that ?
I'd be surprised if they did !!
"noguts" - If you have a copy of the NDA you signed or recall what you read before signing - Does the agreement state anything about BORK requiring protection from safety issues and working conditions etc.
*** Here is a REAL good question and it should not be an NDA type answer:
Does BORK have an OSHA compliance officer on staff or retainer to oversee the mfg. workplace and training procedures has the Tucson BORK plant been certified in compliance with work safety regulations for Arizona nad Fed. regs. ??
"PWron" - So you're report is that about 11 guys were working that day combined in production and R&D + a front office worker or two, would be 13 for that shift ending at 3:30.
You also met JB (and maybe Andrew who usually works elsewhere) and they showed you the helmets and spoke with excitement about BORK's future.
If the second shift has about the same number in production - say six - there are about 20 full time labor employees there. R&D may not even be full time.
Does it make sense that BORK is pre-stocking plates for distributors and getting ahead of business expectations for rapid delivery ?
That takes some $$$ for production materials. I hope that's where JB's shares sales went to support.
If he's done sellling, that should be part of the reason the PPS rose a little without that pressure.
I assume some days JB and Mike and Andrew or Len are not there. Perhaps away on demos, or on other business.
***I'd like to know about the Mexico facility staffing. Confirm the facility is there - maybe Nogales ?
I'm going to call this week. Let's find out if BORK is ramping up a Mexico plant for ITAR production or is it mothballed.
Thanks "pacco" for dropping by the BORK facility ! Much appreciated. I don't live there and it's great to get some more eyeballs on the facility. I look forward to your update next week. If it's not awkward for you, try to arrange to drop in for a short tour like "noguts" and a few others. As a shareholder you're entitled to ask, anyway.
That said - I agree about the activity level.
Only 8 cars means at most 10-11 people assuming a couple car poolers. If there is a another shift coming in later in the afternoon, there may be 20 +/- employees.
IMO - BORK has got to do some website updates with progress at their plant(s), at least. It's been too long.
e.g. How many shifts and employees - projected to eventually have up to 200 when BORK had their GO.
Will they be hiring more - I'd like to know about the curve plate development they admitted they need, the NIJ submittals for other plates - what and when...
Any demos or trade shows coming up ?
Any completed shoots / demos recently that BORK performed well at ?
There is a lot of good general information that would enlighten the average shareholder that is not even sales or trade secret oriented.
The 4th quarter is coming to a close.
"ATL" delivered a great, updateable site a month ago.
Use it BORK. We've been patient. Show us something.
"hmark" - For clarification - So far all the recent reports from actual visitors to the BORK Drexel Rd. facility have been very positive.
You have been specific and written several times you met and spoke to JB directly and you work near the BORK facility. That JB visits your airfield loation for business, wants one of your fellow employess to come work for BORK. You reported some statements from JB that contracts are nearly in hand and the Mexico plant is operational.
"noguts", "PWron" posted specifically they visited the Tucson plant over the last couple weeks and spoke to JB and other officers about BORK, too. Similar reports about potential orders for BORK and that the plant was very busy with at least 15 laborers and shifts.
"ATL" writes specifically he's in touch with BORK via the website and developed a "CEO corner" for updates / reports from JB.
"ATL" posted there are "good things" pending release and that legal is looking the info over for compliance.
My only point is:
If anyone else, like "pacco", who lives in Tucson and posts on the IHUB board regularly would also take an hour to visit and tour the BORK plant, ask some questions of JB or Andrew (NDA or not) and report what they find out, good, bad or indifferent, that would be great.
How can that be a bad thing for the BORK shareholders ? It's part of being helpful.
Again: So far all the recent reports from actual visitors have been very positive. No one can refute the specific info from these guys unless they also offer specific eyewitness visitor evidence to the contrary.
Gosh, I'm really not sure who you're asking about visits. Was it someone else before me ? Please clarify.
Reverse merger w/ GPGI was to get on the OTC board fast - GPGI was already listed. No muss no fuss. Then the name change (BORK) and reverse split GPGI shares and BAM offering to fund early stage BORK.
Sircooper" - "noguts" Post #12911 (see below) from last week is the exact opposite of "pac" last couple posts. It would be great if he'd help us out a little and take a tour of the Tucson plant too so we would have confirmation either way.
"I was out in Tucson this last weekend visiting "Bourque Industries" with my cousin. Luckily John B., Kim , Len and Andrew, who came across as great people, were all there. All I can say is I was very impressed with what they showed us and talked about. The only way to describe what I saw is limitless possibilities.
As much as I would like things to happen now I know things don't work like that in life nor in business, we just need to be patient.
John is clearly a genius when it comes to the material, he is a straight shooter and very genuine. Kim came acrosss as a go-getter, straight to the point kind of guy. Len nice guy, very knowledgeable, Andrew very articulate very composed, all very professional and bussiness savvy, but all down to earth at the same time, my kind off people.
I can honestly say before I was basing everything on hearsay and research that I had done but I have seen the actual product and was blown away.
I saw and heard some things that I'm not allowed to disclose, per SEC rules.
They had us sign a NDA since we did see and hear things during our three and half hour visit.
I can say something is definitely going on in Mexico and we will be seeing new, better, and stronger material/things out of BI in the future.
No pump and dump here, I'm just telling you what I think and what I saw.
Ruben"
"pacco" - you were at the grand opening and said awhile back you live in Tucson and know some of the people at BORK don't you ?
If you can help clear the air about any rumors floating around Tucson about orders that would be great !
Would you mind dropping in the Drexel location to see what's going on and get back to us on IHUB.
Maybe get a brief tour ? How about it ?
KRYRON is not specifically nanotech. Just because a patent calls for CNT does not mean it precludes Kryron + CNT... and vice versa.
No worries re: non-Kryron CNT patent infringement, IMO.
"ATL" posted a couple days back and earlier today that there are PR items for BORK going through "legal" review, and once released, he'd have them put out on the website.
SEC compliance makes sense, and seems to portend good news, too.
Could be tomorrow ? Monday ?
"John11" posted "Real soon"...a few days back...
I'd like confirmation... anyone ? anyone ? Buehler ? Buehler ?
ATL said he'd tell us first, so I'm holding him to that !!
"Fever" - If the individual signed a NDA, yes, a specific response about the company sales or product development would be a problem for him.
I was under the impression from 6 mos. back - maybe longer - that he was a consultant, and had not signed a NDA.
"BTU" can find out...if true, it's not illegal to ask.
I'd settle for a "generic" response, like "I don't know why the stock PPS went up"...or "The PPS went up for good reason. Stay tuned."
"BTU" - You seem to have a level head about BORK and a buddy working there part-time. Has he said anything positive about increased production or Kryron material technical advances or pending orders lately ?
Thanks !
Usually a big move up in PPS w/out actual news or orders (like BORK had the last 2 weeks) is based on believable rumor and a few people putting two and two together.
The market can get a little ahead of itself then, but rumors are eventually "validated" with orders or good business news.
I hope I'm wrong...but if that doesn't occur for BORK...this won't be the first time that "rumors" have been proven wrong about BORK.
That would be a huge letdown, BORK.
"money" - Welcome aboard ! You are just in time, maybe still early. The train was delayed leaving the station because the tracks weren't laid.
BORK's at near 52 weeks lows. Good entry point. If you can afford the fare for the ride it'll get your heart racing like a "Six Flags" roller coaster.
No one can say what to REALLY expect.
Strong supposition is armor sales will lead (proven product) but the real revenue will be industrial applications, as yet unproven, we investors "suppose" in trials.
PR about those trials would be welcome.
If industrial companies get Kryron licensed, the BORK train hopes to move to the big board and mutual fund managers will buy a ticket.
Then we'll see where the tracks lead.
11/30/11 Quarter filing:
500m shares authorized
300 million issued and outstanding
39m public float = non-restricted public shares
Preferred issued 100K to JB
Preferred Authorized 100m
113m shares aggregate issued for the merger of the 4 entities last Q = restricted
142m owned by JB et al from the reverse merger - SEC Rule 144 restricted. Or 504 filing see: "Fairhills Capital" sale last Q.
2.9m sold / being sold by JB per 3/5/12 (1% of toatl outstanding 144 filing). Add to the public float this Q.
Joint ownership with R. Twiford for about ten minutes then they did a reverse merger in Feb. '11, closed out and shuttered GPGI property, changed the stock symbol and re-named BORK - it was voted on and every GPGI shareholder got 5 GPGI for one BORK share, one year restricted stock that came of restriction in Feb. '12.
It's now in the float.
Someone bot 21K shares at .58 cents with 6 minutes to go per Level 2 ?
What gives ? Seven cents over ?
That cleans up a lot of shares and keeps the PPS near opening.
Thanks !!
IMO - The recent 100% run up was based on "something in the wind" and it's not materialized...yet.
At this point - JB selling 2.9m shares to raise $$ for the company, selling another 1.5m to "Fairhills Capital", the word has to be getting out in the investment community.
*** BORK must know they are on the clock to perform and prove Kryron is the product we have been led to believe it is to the shareholders and to the many industries we hope to see it utilized within.
If there is something decent building and just delayed a week or so, fine...
I don't want to even think about the alternative !
Here ya go ATL - this must be what he meant for you to read. Impressive company. Looks to be a vest / carrier mfg. company - maybe they expanded into armor, but I don't see it.
Hey maybe BORK and Kryron armor could team up with them !
http://agilitegear.com/index.php?page=About%20Agilite
Wow ! Nice order !
I really hope BORK gets any type of armor order someday.
So much competition out there from big corporations with deep connections.
It would be extra impressive to me if BORK broke through the network and guided a contract home - someday maybe...
"sag" and "bird1" - Here's a quick follow question up to your post from 3/14/12.
Do you have the ability to post your video and photos of the Quakertown, IN demo by JB and Mike ?
You had posted that you would soon.
"Have video & pictures that will release later & article & interview with JB from media."
http://investorshub.advfn.com/boards/read_msg.aspx?message_id=73242398
We saw the article, thanks for that, too. Much appreciated.
Again, this is all speculation IMO - Mexico may have a BORK plant or not. If so it may be for armor - or not. Let's not get ahead of ourselves !
Patience people !
BORK has a Mexico plant ? Who says there is a Mexico plant !?!
All I know for sure is there is a plant on Drexel Rd. in Tucson, AZ.
I'll wait until I read something from BORK before I really believe there is a Mexico plant.
Until then it's just juicy gossip.
I think BORK needs to do more to communicate about new developments somewhere.
Write Sen. Blumenthal back and remind him he gets a Gov't. employee discount.
I agree PWron ! I think I hear an avalanche of at least 40 or 50 contracts with BORK in the next two or three years !!
As long as BORK makes Kryron and keeps up the demos there will be a growing market for it.
Turning demos into closing orders to the "inking phase" may actually occur soon !
Why not ?
I think that new shareholders have come to the market for BORK as a result of the 2.9m shares sold by JB since March 5.
That many shares sold under Rule 144 to a whole new market of stock investors in Scottsdale, AZ and surrounding area will bring a lot of "new blood" to the stock as they start to tell their friends about BORK, too.
They are deep pocket buyers that know a product with a future and a bargain price, are very shrewd too, not just connected to BORK armor through demos into the LE and gov't. or friends of friends. They see the big picture and are in for the long haul, IMO.
***For example, I was very pleased that in the Quarter ending Feb 29 BORK had doubled the number of shareholders of record to 2,500 up from 1,200.
Let's see what happens this Q as BORK shareholder numbers are wading out of the kiddie pool into the shallow end of an Olympic sized pool !
What is the Berry Amendment? You tell us what you think it means.
Yeah - BORK "intends" to start the process - or maybe has started the process for more NIJ Cert plates to round out the product line, as it were.
The timing is up in the air. Nothing definite.
It would be "nice" is that info appeared on the website in the first shareholder newsletter type update in the works.
Give us all a something to hang our hat on, you know.
The cost: $180K +/- per plate, I read somewhere. It takes money to make money.
100% correct. Stocks are funny that way. Run up on anticipation of "good news" and often sell off after the announcement.
Buy the rumor, sell the news.
That is why it is imperative that whatever news is baked-in the .45 PPS, is followed up shortly with additional new orders to maintain momentum or at least maintain a reasonably or justifiable level .50 -.75 PPS....or we'll see the stock slide again.
There are a lot of business strategy variables in BORK's future that require explanation to shareholders, as well...by mid-May is my best guess.
****Expectations are rising and animal spirit emotions are building, BORK. Don't let us down.
We'll see if our optimism is 100% warranted this quarter.
Thanks for the link, that makes sense.
The "Fatboy" is the only BORK NIJ.06 cert plate as of today. It is a Level III stand-alone ballistic plate.
The plates I purchased are Level II, not NIJ cert - yet.
I "think /assume" BORK has a few more plates /levels in queu for NIJ submittal & testing...in "two weeks" - LOL !
You asked for an expiration date. Please take a moment and re-read your post and question to ATL. In the future be more clear as to your request for info.
Better yet - Any more questions about armor "expiration date" call BORK. If you have a phone, that is. I did.
An email to BORK will get you answers and work if you don't have a phone.
Read the registration form.
Oh yeah - are you happy BORK stock PPS is up 100% this last week ??
I noticed a whole lot of cricket chirps re: comments.
You're welcome. BTW -BORK armor is also not a carton of eggs.
The buyer registers the plate purchased on-line with BORK.
http://bourqueindustries.com/wp-content/uploads/2012/03/Registration-Form1.pdf
Expiration date is 6 years post-purchase date. BORK is one year better than other armor companies.
Other mfg. of armor only offer a 5 year warranty on NIJ site.
BORK armor is not a carton of milk.
"john11" posted - Good Morning everyone, JB has asked me to pass on to you a few words.
(1) A Huge thanks to AT and his employees for doing such a great job with Len and Andrew, You guys really knock the web site out of the park, I am exceedingly excited about our future and great things are on the rise.
(2) I do read and have been giving your issues on the IHub, but sometimes I do not have a lot of time to read them all, but rest assured we are doing our best. Please remember, John Bourque and I will not let any of you down, and you can take that to the bank. We all here at Bourque Industries are working sometimes 6 to 7 days a week. We need your help and support and there are things that we are involved in that will blow your mind. I wouldn't say these things if I did not mean them or believe them.
(3) JB and I JohnII would like to send a big thanks to the "Man Cave", thanks for your support and confidence in Bourque Industries and it surely is appeciated to one an all. Thanks for all your help and support in Indiana, that was awesome.
(4) The Discovery Channel showed an elderly gentlemen with JB - he says that was his father, a veteran, and a true american. I swore to him I would never let him down or America down with Bourque Industries and I will make him proud of the name Father and Son, John Bourque. God Bless America.
(4) I, John Bourque, am willing to give all I got to Bourque Industries and I will not disappoint you or all the investors, this I promise and truly am trying to do an outstanding job for you.
(5) Please stay and think positive, truly we are in this together and thank you for your suggestions and support.
God Bless you all and May God Bless America. JB
Thanks "john11" and JB !
"jcm2323" - It's not only the ceramic plate that is being questioned, it's the "testing" methodology and the ricochet / spalling that is troublesome. That is all under review by the DoD and congress.
The issue with the armor is relatively recent - that won't hold up orders for new plates when needed.
Who knows - BAE may have fixed the problem with durability and spalling.
"jack21" & "kybob" - Happy to help, please read my next post. And while you're at it - CHECK OUT THE NEW WEBSITE !!!
http://kryronmetal.com/
It's still in final development, but the home page and slides are a huge improvement - many thanks to "ATL" !
"smart" - My main points to "kybob": VERY doubtful it was a .50 cal (not mentioned in the video) and it was not a NEW competitor product. Likely was Xsapi ceramic-based plates by Ceradyne or BAE.
Now - re: your point (I think) - You are mistaken...
it was .50 cal AP rounds that were stopped at Dugway by BORK using 1/8" Brinell steel backing, fired from 50'.
It was not .30 cal AP.
Non-ceramic "Fatboy" plates were not NIJ tested for .30 cal AP @ "Oregon Ballistics", so I don't know what they ultimately stop 3 times.
I do know BORK plates were the first ever to stop all 6 rifle rounds in all 4 plates submitted when 3 rounds within deformation standards will get an NIJ cert.
"Bourque's Level III stand-alone Kryron Terminator Armor System demonstrated its industry-leading multi-impact capabilities by defeating all six 7.62x51 FMJ NATO rounds within the standard 44mm back face deformation standards. Bourque reached this performance milestone on all of its Level III body armor panels tested.
Kryron Terminator Armor also provides additional advantages over competing armor that are essential for the survivability of law enforcement and military personnel. Terminator armor eliminates ricochet and spall -- shrapnel from the bullet and armor, respectively -- because Kryron armor works by catching bullets instead of shattering and deflecting them."
"kybob" and "jack21" - The armor you saw was not "NEW" - it's the "Interceptor" Ceradyne armor the troops wore in theater in Iraq and in Afghan. How many rounds does that armor stop before failing ?
You saw part of an interview video of a soldier who survived a single sniper round while being filmed by the insurgents in the 2006-7 timeframe. Not so sure it was .50 cal bullet or what distance it traveled.
Great story and very happy for him and his family.
Here is how incredible the men and women who serve our country are: The sniper was caught in a few minutes, shot and badly wounded. The very same soldier you see in the video that the sniper shot - is a medic - and that soldier used his tax-payer funded training to stabilize the sniper that just shot him and saved his life.
There is an episode on April 1 that shows the Army is testing an inflatable armor. That looks interesting.
