The primary goal of management is to build LONG TERM shareholder value.
Go back to Business 101. Do you really think the share price is directly correlated to anything management has done? If they announce a contract, does the stock automatically go up? Of course not. In the last six months, this management team has reduced expenses, introduced new solutions, and built a large, experienced, national sales team.
Will this result in sales, revenue growth and ultimately profitability? That is not certain, but the odds are far improved today compared to at any point in this company's history. Just a few sales result in profitability, and we know the opportunity is significant and the pieces are in place.
Management has done its job, to this point. The continuous, uninformed, and misleading bashing is just as bad-- and probably worse -- than the foolish cheer leading.
This was a troubled company when this management team and board took over. They are far, far stronger today. Progress is all that matters. It hasn't been reflected in the share price, and that frustrates all shareholders. However, the entire market is down and riskier stocks are down more than most. As IR keeps reminding me, when I call, I only lose money if I sell. I am pleased with the strategic progress to date, and believe my patience will be rewarded.
Oh, and how about those Bruins? 34-12 in Austin? My my.
