Thanks. I do plan on going because I plan on this getting much higher. And assuming the trip is not planned during my baseball season, or during a intense part of my rehab from Tommy John surgery, I will attend.
I have 18555. I have 11500 free shares. Sold 10000 of my 21500 when it hit .105 after getting it @.041. I was trained to take half your money out after a double. And then have picked up 7055 more along the way, most recently at .51.
I am only 22 and come from a lower middle class family and will probably be the first one to graduate from college on my dad's side, albeit with fairly large student loans.
My parents owned a bookstore for 8 years before construction on the main road in front of our store lead to declining sales. Construction lasted 2 years and ended up in our store closing. Instead of declaring bankruptcy, probably the proper business thing to do, my parents did what they considered the ethical thing and have been paying off their debts.
So considering my background, without a dollar or more I just couldn't justify going.
EDIT: I forgot to mention I put my life savings of 2500 into the market in March and hit 19000 after cemjq's last spike but have gone back down to 14500 after today's close. Thats big money to me, so I hope and believe we will go back up.
Chart. What are your feelings on DNE...has this died off?
Actually, I am going to need $1 or more to go to CABO. So let's not even hint at not getting it. :)
I believe that we won't have the same..long drawn out consolidation period. We experienced a quick pullback with big volume, where as last time it was a long drawn out process on low volume. We will be back up again very soon.
Pretty disappointed with the rest of the day after the initial burst in the beginning of the day. However, I am pretty pleased. Hopefully this starts a string of up days like we saw 2 weeks ago.
Ill bet 2000 shares you are wrong.
Yeah after that little scare this morning with the bid at .475 we have been chugging up ever since. I think a close of .53 or higher signals great news for Monday.
Chart...what do you think is going on with DNE? just lagging a bit?
Yeah that board is how I found CEMJQ as well. Honestly if I still had the commons I'd sell and bring them over here. Bro left the commons. I just have a hard time parting with the preferred because of the possible payout someday.
I am thinking about departing ways with my SSCJQ but I want to see what this is at EOD before I do that.
We still may. That bid at .475 scared me for a bit.
Ok. So am I correct in assuming the only way I will be charged interest on the margin is if I go over my cash balance?
I started with only 2500 this march and am around 18000 now and figured I could start doing some more active trading when the opportunity presented itself.
I am thinking about opening a margin account solely so that my trades will clear in a day instead of 3. I am using Zecco. My question is if I do a day trade. And then the next day reinvest those funds would I be using there margin and be charged interest? Or am I only charged interest if I use their money and go over the equity I have in my account?
Thats what I am showing as well.
Is it true you sold out of SSCJQ? What made you change your mind and sell?
What does it mean if they reach the 13th day again?
Theres a group here on ihub called q stock harvesters. They generally have some good leads.
Sklauble,
You described me. 22 and going into my last year of school. Only had enough to jump in for 22500 shares back at .041. Wish I was older so I had more money to throw down back then. Sold half at .085 to get my initial investment out and will continue to let the rest ride. I have been operating a small trading position to try and get more shares but will always keep my core.
I agree with you advising us young ones to listen and i try and gather as much as I can from reading you older guys posts on this board as well as browildman over on the yahoo boards for pgpdq. A lot to be learned from you guys with much more trading experience than myself. Thanks to all.
Apparently he doesn't know what jk stands for. I appreciate the humor though.
Yeah. I live near Ohare during the summers but out in Wheaton during the school year.
You from Chicago? If so, where at?
bid .40 ask .405 here we go
Watch MAXM. I know they're dormant right now but I really think they are a major player in SPNG.
Yep. That's what I've learned since then. This is my 1st year investing. I'm a college senior and so far up about 200% since I started in March. A little pissed I only had 2500 to invest when I started. Trying to pay off my student loans and get my gf a ring and hopefully still have money left over.
But I agree on what you said with this being a great board with people to listen to.
it was that messageboard bashing that deterred me from getting into ctic at .0. Cost me big.
This reminds me of the trading before the big run. I remember buying some at .19 and thinking the run was over cuz we hit .25 then came back down to .23 so i sold my small swing position and then the big run came.
Just got back from Tommy John surgery and happy to see this is in the green.
Just got back from Tommy John surgery and was hoping to come back to an asset sale but I'm happy to see this is in the green.
This is quite interesting. I believe we will see a jump soon.
Can anyone tell me if MAXM shows up on the Level II?
Sorry. I was not trying to say that we are like SSCCQ. I was simply stating that we have no idea what a positive MOR will result in for the next couple trading days. A look at last month will show that.
What I've found, as I am sure most have, from following Q companies is that no one really knows what will blast it. We should have gone off after the last MOR but we didnt.
Same thing with SSCCQ. MORs got better but no real share jump was seen.
I am hoping the market will respond to this being the second positive MOR, which happened to SSCCQ.
Regardless of what happens tomorrow, this shows that the company is heading in the right direction.
Hopefully this will finally be enough to stop the selling and blast us a bit!
I dont have Level II is MAXM on the bid or sell at all?
If you guys are looking to give away some of your earnings, I know a particular college student that could use some help with student loans :).
Honestly though lets hope we get that MOR today and we get back on track.
You guys may have seen my posts earlier today addressing my questions about Maxim Group and Spongetech. For those of you that didn't read, I was wrote an email to symoskowitz@msn.com and did not receive a reply. 2 days later I received a reply from Cliff Weinstein at Maxim Group LLC stating that he would handle my investment questions regarding SPNG. I emailed him and he never returned my email.
I did a bit of digging around today after noone had any answers for my questions. Maxim Group LLC is based out of New York. I looked around a bit on their website and found that they are involved in market making. More specifically they are a market maker for SPNG. I don't have Level 2 but their symbol is MAXM.

Also Maxim Group LLC's clearing agent is Pershing LLC, a subsidiary of the Bank of New York Mellon Corporation. Pershing is listed as a market maker on the NASDAQ.
I am not sure exactly what this means or what to make of it but thought I would bring it to everyone's attention and get their opinion. It could mean absolutely nothing, but I thought it was kind of interesting and helped me through this boring All-Star Game.
I just discovered SPNG has a connection to Nasdaq market maker.
Soapy do you have any insight on Maxim Group or Clifford Weinstein.
He can be reached at 212-895-3532. The website is www.maximgrp.com.
His email is cweinstein@maximgrp.com. I was told to contact him regarding questions I had on Spongetech.
Yeah I figured that was the nature of their company from their website. However, I was not sure why they would be handling inquiries about Spongetech.
