TDGI. this player just found out about the company over the weekend, thanks to a tiny little spot in a local offbeat paper. I'm from arkansas, and i have connections up in springdale, so i will try to find out anything else not already shared here and will post my findings, if any...
After spending half of yesterday doing the DD, i'm moving in on monday with a nicely weighted position. I agree that not many eyes are on this yet, i just discovered it quite by accident myself, and i'm all about arkansas business. its a small state, and none of my other player friends in little rock had heard of it either until i mentioned it yesterday.
Good luck to all LONGS, i'm getting in before this super cheep PPS flies off to the moon.
malc
Gosh mike, if that is true all things need recalculated quickly. thanx for pointing that out - i'll check into that.
malc.
John Petersen @ seeking alpha pointed something strange out about the blackrock stake, and it may explain why the .56 was so cheap of an offering... i'm not sure at all so dont take me on this kooky one.
he said, "when the dust settles blackrock will own approx. 8% of O/S." The email release from Axion had a 19.6% figure. so the pps you state that blackrock paid of .56 for 19.6% may actually be .90 per share if they only wind up owning 8% of AXPW.
Too damn confusing for me - I'll wait for someone else to figure it out. anyway, i bought more just because blackrock is onboard and will hopefully also bring some power financing to their new pet project. best wishes,
malc.
DAAT.OB Gun cleaning kits from China, US stock based in little rock, arkansas. and gun safes and such for the common people, all distributed by good ole Walmarts, at least in the south.
The products are good and price trailing earnings already makes this a value small cap play IMO... I expect a nice 4Q EPS. I got a brass cadillac cleaning kit for a gift, and i bet i can put it to good use for some intruders, deer, or any GS execs that wander too close around here...
Seriously, I think this is worth a look from the board,
malc.
37.7M O/S and 4M traded today? Thats a kind of liquidity that gets me swimming before my mind even catches up to where i am!
watching and wondering... gl all longs
Wow. I never knew this existed either, but i'm rather new around here. thanks for the leads everyone, and i'll be in next year for sure.
malc.
p.s. thanks for all the agonizing hours of DD i now have to do screening thru all these picks... lol... actually, i love it - but the wife doesnt... less time for honey-do's around the house on the weekend... good luck in the contest and for real in 2010 everyone!!!
Thanks for the board and the welcome some of you have already given me, even though i just found you this weekend and barely missed out on PSL 14. Drag. When i called this a "kindred spirit" board it really is for me because i'm already familiar with about 40% of these companies and already own a bunch -
GSL RODM CKGT SRRY XNYH CHCG JADA - all heavy weighted for 2010, and a smaller position in CYXN (still some kooky stuff in their PR's and reporting IMO).
The other 65% of my portfolio is US and Canadian micros.
I added a heavyweight position in DAAT today on the dip, selling my ZIXI from last years "undervalued" picks for a 2.5X gain - its had its run IMO.
Thanks for pointing out DAAT guys. I live 20 miles away from the HQ and never knew it was there. Probably because that HQ is likely in some strip mall off in the hood, lol... Seriously, they get no news coverage around here and i'm all about following and holding/trading the local stocks, which aren't very many.
I bought DAAT for the solid growth potential, products, distribution, and undervalued P/E. Not for sentimental reasons. And if any of you DAAT holders should have some serious Q's for the mgmt that the emails and calls are not answering, i'm not abject to walking my construction worker ass into the office and asking for you when i'm in Little Rock working on a project, or doing a bid, which is quite often. Just shoot me a PM.
Or i may just see what I can do about getting DAAT a local news spot or arkansas democrat gazette biz section article. hell, i might write it myself, but thats alot of work for no pay! you really wouldnt believe what that does to the PPS the next day around here. I've seen it happen many many times over the last 20 years with AERT. If something is brewing on that news front i will def. post it here first - thats not against SEC rules, or is it?
malc stone
Thanks Len. See you guys in May then. Good luck to everyone in the PSL 14 contest. Big Tyme FUN!
Brand new to this board. Great challenge! wow, sorry i missed out, when did it end? and when is PSL 15?
I'll join the game and i'll for sure be doing some DD on some of the picks here... from the ones i see already, i'm feeling some kindred spirits...
malc.
If its not OT on this board to talk about deblen, i use B of A/ M Lynch for my SEP IRA account. the fees are a flat $10 for any buy/sell transaction, and they execute trades quite well - although when doing your DD the numbers should always be double checked.
If you want to execute any kind of "questionable" online trade in their opinion you simply request what they call a "safe pass" card and they will send you it to make any kind of trade without any surcharge or hassle. i used it all last year and never had a problem one. the safe pass card enables you to trade without any calls, or any restrictions on anything in my experience.
malc.
Doing my DD on this as my potential next pick for a long hold in the SEP IRA. thanks to everyone who has posted so much useful info, esp. ecomike.
I just have a few Q's for the board if anyone can help out here.
The news with the walmart deals didnt move the PPS much, so i figure there are more serious concerns in the market, which you guys have already pointed out quite honestly and clearly, thanks..
Are we sure that the cash on hand can finance COIN thru 2010? if so, then perhaps the cash burn needed to resolve the production issues won't be of mortal consequence.
Anyone know the details of any of these walmart deals? How much revenue added, inked or even projected? Are they just in agreement to put it on the shelves or have they commited to purchasing X amount of product for X price?
COINU is pretty self-explanatory to me and makes perfect business sense considering the O/S is only 27.7M currently. the extra shares at full dilution wouldn't hurt IMO since COIN would gain needed extra cash @ 1.30 PPS and the O/S still not unreasonable.
I somehow heard or read about a COINZ and dont know a thing about this though. thats my real Q - i don't know if this is another authorized warrant or option or what... i know its trading up in super light volume @ .19 so i'm assuming its another warrant with a longer window and higher strike price.
thanks I hubbers, malc stone
Blackrock has just bought 19.61% of Axion power's O/S according to the SEC insider filing. AXPW is the ticker if anyone is interested. Besides AHR, Blackrock has had a pretty impressive record.
malc
Ok AXPW longs, great news IMO. Blackrock has just become a major shareholder with 19.61% ownership according to Axion's email for shareholders. I consider this a major signal that the company has serious potential, and I'm doubling my position with this announcement.
Thanks pappy. I saw that on the SRRY board but thought your restrictions had been lifted and you had other more serious reasons than slow growth. Also been long CKGT and NFEC since last march and april - I see you added more today and must think that there are lots of legs left after an already incredible 09.
im glad i havent sold any shares of either but i have limited resources so its hard for me to add at current levels. i'm on the look for the CKGT and NFEC of this spring.
appreciate the note, malc.
Pappy - If i may ask you, why did you bail out of SRRY? CSP told me to ask you your thoughts when i was doing my DD on it last weekend. well, i've already loaded up but i still would value your opinion if you dont mind...
thanks, malc stone
No, this is not I hubbers moving this stock at all. What's the news people? I've been holding since the old days and it's nice to see a little of my money coming back when i figured that BK was on the doorstep. obviously, something has happened that convinces folks that Anthracite is not going into BK and that Blackrock is still behind this division...
I'm SRRY... I'm SRRY... I'm NOT SRRY!
- pee wee herman in cheech and chong's "nice dreams"...
I'm HPPY i got my first @ .35 on monday and doubled up @ .38 first thing morning bell. sometimes B of A/ M Lynch can really execute trades well even if the DD sucks.
Fully locked and loaded and now holding long. I think this one may really have legs for 2010 and beyond.
malc.
SRRY. thanks bob stocks for the news updates. I got in yesterday after doing DD last weekend on the next china canidates.
Now i'm thinking up doubling up this position. Do you have any thoughts on what this deal with add to 2010 EPS? I have a rather flat .12 EPS pegged for 2010, and any little bit more could easily make this an even more attractive buy at current PPS level.
thanks, malc.
Thnx steeledge. I have quickly learned around here that no one jumps on the boat in too high water. I will just lurk around and watch to see what the rest of you come up with as your entry points - i also realize that many are already on this boat but perhaps some will also be loading up after the hype subsides.
appreciate it guys. malc.
CBTE. I missed the boat on that one... i had been considering it back in mar 09 but passed it over. wrong answer.
anyway, after the dust settles what would you guys think is a reasonable buy in price considering this merger?
thanks, malc.
Thanks CSP. I def. will ask pappy next time i talk to him, and before i add anymore for sure!
SRRY. I saw a couple of questions over the weekend but no responses. I assume that no one here really likes it. It seems undervalued to me with around .09-.10 EPS for 09 in a growing sector, recycling.
23M O/S
low debt - 2M
6M in assests
+cash position.
I'm in today @ .25 - but i'm no guru like you guys!
Nice day today overall... malc.
Do any of you longs think that the recent slide in PPS may have been related to tax loss selling? I got in @ .10 but i'm a relatively new long so i havent been following long enough to know at which price most got in at last year.
Either way, it doesnt matter to me. I'm holding no matter what and may even add a bit more @ .08 if i still can although i'm already a bit overweight in my portfolio here. Just too much potential to not lock and load and hang tight!
Here's to a breakout 2010!
malc
BBCZ. Ok, i know its a pinkie but is anyone else here looking at this seriously? I like chinese traditional medicine, i really like the 2.12 BV, and i like 2009 thru 3Q EPS of .06
Ok, its a pink. the numbers are unaudited. But they've been reporting consistently and perhaps soon be on the BB. From my DD is see no debt, a big plus and another big plus of a low 18.7M O/S
I'm interested if anyone else here has given this a serious look.
Thanks, malc
Happy New Year to everyone! Thanks so very much for all the invaluable insights and personal responses that you find the time and willingness to share, especially with junior investors like myself.
If I had more to offer the board besides rudimentary DD and questions for you, i surely would.
If anyone on this board has any questions regarding custom home construction/remodeling - fair prices, product suggestions, problem solving, etc.. please feel free to shoot me a PM and i might likely have much more useful information there... if i don't know the answer myself chances are i know someone who does and i will do my best to find out for you..
i figure some of you around here will be upgrading your personal domestic situations as well. Cheers to 2009!
malc.
Thank you VTKT. Up 400% in 2009. Cant wait to see what 2010 has in store...
Great year for WNDEF. I project seeing $4 or better by end of 2010.
Now that tax selling is officially over we could see a nice Jan effect for DNPI. holding long...
CYXN. Aren't there also some pending legal issues to resolve that cast doubt on the future?
XNYH. I loaded up a bit overweight in my portfolio @ .21 and .23
Thanks for the heads up ahwile back Fernando. After some DD it just looked too undervalued to not get at that price.
AERT delisting to the OTC BB today. Mngmt decided to delist rather than the expense of a R/S to keep nasdaq compliance. will still watch for the results of the next 2Q's before buying back in, if at all.
Wish you were here....
All the great people here and no one takes a look while the volume, not to mention PPS goes thru the roof.. oh well, i tried.
Bueller? Bueller? .... anyone???
Why not just grab the warrants at the current level? Whats a few cents on the warrants when you are really trying to buy into CFQCF at the discounted price of six dollars and some change?
Ok. new to this stock. I will pose the same question i asked harleyman earlier today.
Whats up with the 25M in insider buys of 3/09 to the tune of .20 per share?
The insiders own 2/3 of all outstanding. Is everyone confident that they will not vote to take the company back private and screw the other shareholders out?
Don't get me wrong, not bashing at all. just trying to figure out if i should throw some of my hard earned squirrel nuts this way.
Thanks everyone, malc stone.
REE's. Kinda surprised to see this subject come up here but it definetly is a China-related play, being as the Chinese are essentially cutting the world off.
I researched the hell out of this last March and established a position in GWMGF. It's seen a rise, but it is the one REE whose market cap is not completely overvalued at this point. I've been quietly adding at this current .25 level.
I've read all jack lifton's articles this last year, but i didnt bookmark them to link to everyone. I believe it was from Nov in thestreet.com where he says that GWMGF will most likely be the first to produce. They also have some refining operations in the US and UK to take the ore to refinement into saleable products, which is crucial.
John Petersen of SA also owns some GWMGF and is in agreement on these points. Happy DD'ing..
malc
Merry Christmas TF - CKGT might just be santa today for anyone who was willing to load up more on the dip.
Like others have said, i think its getting the books straight before attempting to uplist next year - looks better if you get all the ducks in line first before someone starts pointing them out.
Can't wait to start putting together those cactus toys for the kids tonite after they quit pretending to be asleep. i just hope hawk associates translated the assembly instructions for me...
malc.
Got my CGDI @ .35 finally. Quite a bit of volume today compared to the rest of the week. ???
malc
CGDI. that's my 750 buy offer out there @.35
can someone give me a little christmas love? I've been trying all week just to get a small starter position.
malc stone
Thnx CSP. Glen was once keen on CGDI and i've been watching it ever since. I'm getting some, thats no doubt. even if i have to pay .40 tmmrw it's an excellent entry point IMO.
did manage to sell one american devil, PNX, for a nice profit and snag up some of those CFQCF warrants @ 1.25. still a great buy even after the minor runup.
cant wait to see what happens after the merger there... i think those warrants may turn out to be one of my smarter plays lately..
malc.
